you’re inspirationless as you work a dark case at your hometown’s police precinct, and when the BAU is called in, you’ve suddenly found your muse in the team. your sketchbook spreads started out diverse, drifting from member to member, but as the week went on and they had yet to solve the case, your pages were increasingly filled with many angles of one face in particular. something about the eternally furrowed brow, the strong and set jaw, the increasingly fatigued but determined focus, the sharp nose that kept scrunching ever so slightly with concentration (or maybe it was frustration. or headaches) as the nights dragged on, the defined curves of his neck as he straightened or, occasionally, loosened his tie, all of it really…he really drew your attention…among other things. you captured every bit of him you could onto paper, everything except for his eyes. you never spent more time on his eyes than you had to, because you knew deep down that if you did, you’d fall apart right then and there, for reasons you couldn’t really explain

So I finally ventured out and started reading Jake fics and oh my god I’m hooked. There’s just something about that smug asshole falling so in love with someone that he can’t handle it that just makes my brain go ‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️
