"Dueling has certainly evolved from Standard Duels, yes. It is why there have been various Duel Schools created to teach individuals how to master the more complex summoning methods."
The term his father coined upon arrival in the Standard Dimension that his son later found in the records are what he uses to describe here. Though, it was interesting to Reiji that while the basic form of dueling from his home world did not involve any summoning mechanics from the Extra Deck, the ones from Ryuji Otogi's world included Fusion Summoning and Ritual Summoning. This fact only adds evidence to his working theory that those from 'Domino City' were from a dimension quite separate from the four he is familiar with.
Should he refer to it as the Domino Dimension, or was another name more appropriate? He isn't quite sure yet.
What the pro duelist was sure of was that it seemed that his father's research on dimensions, as expansive as it is, was incomplete. The world was much bigger than even Reiji realized, meaning the potential for his father's interdimensional war to spread to even more places. Thus, it was important to learn as much about other places as possible, and perhaps...even recruit some allies in this difficult struggle.
"What is of more interest to me is that I have not quite heard of this...Pegasus you referenced. The original distributor of Duel Monsters cards has been...shadowed in mystery where I am from. My company has taken over some distributing rights, including being the only distributor of Pendulum Cards, but whoever created the game is not public knowledge."

hey vivi i just wanna say i hope you’re doing well!! you’ve ended up doing a lot of heavy lifting in talking about issues on race that effect the fic community. although you’re doing an amazing job, that must be exhausting.
what you’ve been doing is so appreciated by everyone but also you deserve a break and to not have to teach everyone.
fingers crossed it dies down and you can go back to writing and reading and enjoying yourself as usual !
mona, you absolute diamond, thank you for checking in on me! you know, it's actually not that exhausting, opposite actually, it feels freeing! like photos of nicole kidman leaving her attorney's office after her divorce with tom cruise was finalized level of freeing, lol. i'm not old, but i've experienced quite a bit in my lifetime and i've felt every emotion these people are feeling and i remember wanting to cry regardless of the emotion─sometimes i wasnt even sad─because i felt like no one could see me, no one could relate, people were ignoring me or like no one cared and i was all alone.
it's nice to know i never was! and even nicer to be that person who can keep others from feeling the way i felt about having to experience those emotions!
i'm still reading and writing though! as touchy as this subject is here, acknowledging it and talking about race is almost second nature to me, so the weights of it don't interfere with my fic plotting schemes 😈

dinner was such a mess tonight, we were supposed to have steak but they hadn't defrosted completely so my dad told me to make the chicken that i was saving for lunch this week instead 🥲 so i made the chicken and accidentally burnt it a little 😭 luckily it was still a little salvageable despite that,, but then my dad burnt the rice we were having on the side sjhgjshgh that wasn't as salvageable unfortunately but we ate it anyway it had a very..... unique, smoky flavor... so then i decided to make a salad for the chicken instead but no one else wanted it except me. my dad politely declined the salad but he was giving me the stink eye 😭😭 he should've known i wasn't about to eat that crusty burnt rice.... it was so bad 😭😭😭 i was scared about hurting his feelings since he takes things like that personally but i really tried my best to eat it. it was AWFUL 😭

most boys could be improved with a little nail polish bit thomas bordeleau especially. like what is not clicking for him that he hasn’t done it already my god
EX 👏 ACT 👏 LY you understand. i saw this post one time and simply never looked back so without further ado here are the top ten nail polishes, in no particular order, that i think thomas bordeleau should try:
1. sally hanson xtreme wear in 140 rockstar pink
we’re starting with this one because i previously mentioned it in another post, and, while i think thom gives the vibes of a single color natural nail mani, i like this one because it’s one polish that’s multicolor—dark pink glitter with a little bit of blue to call in the sjs and the baby blue suit he was wearing. also, glitter nail polishes will last you FOREVER
2. chanel le vernis in 339 cassis
also have to start out by including my closest approximation to the nail polish in the photo that started this all. i love the sheerness of this polish, which means it can be more unobtrusive and a little blink-and-you’ll-miss-it barely-there detail or more prominent with more layers
3. gucci glossy in 715 winterset snow
personally i don’t often go for a white nail but i think borde would like something very crisp and clean (white does look nice on him). however, i think his white and/or cream needs to be a little cooler and not as much on the yellow side, which made finding this polish difficult but like. what else was i doing today (so many things)
4. les mains hermès in 85 rouge h
we have solid evidence that borde loooves a good maroon moment and i did specifically pick hermès (no idea why. fancy? would appeal to him?). love the cooler tones in this red for him and i heavily debated giving him this really deep rich purple (violet byzantin) of the same style of polish but we can work up to wearing that one
5. cirque colors x live. love. polish in puttin’ on the ritz
while i know the first color on here is literally a fine glitter, To Me thomas bordeleau is a chunky glitter gorl. it’s got artsy details, a bunch of different types of glitter, it’s iridescent, it can be layered, i’m in love with it. it will match any outfit thom i promise
6. maniology in b333 gold rush
imho i would wear more silver jewelry to compliment the cool tones he likes to wear BUT. borde almost always sports gold (honestly not bad wrt bringing out the california tan, it doesn’t wash him out) so i am giving him a boring, but very specific metallic not-too-yellow-or-light-or sparkly gold nail color. sorry. just paint one nail and use it like an accent or for french tips for spice, idk bud you’re the hand model here and i am simply an incredibly picky art director
7. àuda.b in my cactus
i love how vibrant this green is, i love the finish on it, i think we could convince thom to branch out into more jewel tones and pastels. also yes i picked this to match his houseplants
8. nails.inc caught in the nude in hawaii beach & boy de chanel in 404 black
i have a lot of shiny and glittery finishes on this list and i reeeeally wanted to throw in a matte finish so. this is a two for one because i couldn’t find a matte version of this chocolate brown that i really liked for him but also i’m giving him a special matte black polish because to me these are both neutrals
9. mooncat in millennia
this one just looks dope. i feel like he would like the chrome effect to it? it is more high effort because it’s a magnetic polish, but also given that he loves juicewrld now i think i could swing this one on that basis alone (it’s the same colors as legends never die).
10. zoya in zp797 cecilia
how could i make this list and not include a pacific teal nail polish for the san jose sharks 🦈 this also would be stunning as a pop of color to accent his grey game day suits just saying

I was thinking back to these moments during this scene from Buddyfight 100 (AKA Season 2) episode 9 (When Tasuku confronts what he loathes most, his past mistakes) when I was writing Mokuba's response to the Kaiba Brothers Past Confrontation Thread I got with the lovely @shacchou The reason is that it touches on the same issue regarding one's past, and what Jack / Purgatory Knight has to say to Tasuku sorta addresses both Seto and Mokuba's points in that thread. And I thought, hey, let me throw some food for thought out there analyzing what I mean by that.
Seto doesn't like thinking of the past, seeing no value in it, when he's focused on his future. He sees it as something he wants to 'destroy' or 'erase'. He doesn't want the past to hold him back, despite the past having an impact on him even now. Mokuba, on the other hand, sees value in the past and wants to use it to guide his future. Though, he is shackled in a sense by his past due to wanting to go back to it when he knows deep down they never can. While it's understandable he'd want his brother to go back to the way he perceived him when he was younger, that is impossible to do. He's not the same guy anymore, and neither is Mokuba for that matter.
Both of them are not 100% right or 100% wrong in their views or feelings, just like how Tasuku felt during this episode. Things are rarely so straightforward when it comes to one's history or mindset. That's why talking about these things can be difficult, as the two have shown us in the thread so far.
The message Jack is trying to send is essentially, and one I think both these brothers need, is this combination of their two viewpoints: the past cannot be changed, and it cannot be returned to, and it should not prevent you from moving forward in the future. However, you should look back on the past as a source of strength rather than something to loathe, to become a stronger version of yourself in the present.
Jack should really drop his dragonic wisdom on these two brothers at some point shouldn't he?
