pitaya dragon cookie x gn!reader — mini scenario!

baker’s notes // first time writing pitaya. god all mighty. I’ve been a little nervous to write them bc I can’t seem to get their character down. So this may be a practice run.

tw // pitaya is teaching the reader how to fight in the beginning. I don’t personally think this is triggerworthy, but, just in case…

“C’mon, hit it harder!” Pitaya roared, smiling their usual goofy smile as they watched you hit the sandbag. After another… what they would assume was a lousy attempt to hit the bag, they chuckled and walked up to you, cracking their knuckles with a bright shark like smile. “Y/n Cookie, watch, it’sss really not that hard.” They put their right foot out, pivoting themselves in front of the bag and punched it with a closed fist. Crossing your arms, you pouted at the dragon. “Easy for you to say.” The red dragon took to a laugh and wrapped an arm around your shoulder, patting you with a clawed hand. “I think you have a tendency to forget that we regular cookies aren’t as strong as dragons are.” They looked you in the eyes, seeing your pouty expression. “No, that’sss not the case at all. I jussst like ssseeing you struggle, hahaha…”

Grumbling, you started to walk off, Pitaya following suit behind you. What can we say? Pit just likes screwing with you is all. They laugh again, flapping their wings. “Lighten up, won’t ‘cha? I’m only kidding!” Floating in front of you and putting their two hands on your shoulders, you stopped your footing and stumbled, about to fall into them. “You cookies are ssso fickle.” “And you’re a douchebag.” You retorted, giggling and playfully punching his shoulder. He mocked you by floating backward, floating onto his back while feigning despair. “Oh no! They hit me! I’m falling!” Proceeding your walk, you smiled at Pitaya Dragon, clicking your tongue. “I’m hungry. C’mon idiot.” You yelled.

You eventually found yourself sitting with the red dragon, eating your lunch. Pitaya sat next to you drinking something. “What is that?” You asked them. They raised their bottle a bit. “Thisss? Oh, it’s Jamba Juice.” Snickering, you pounded your first on the table. “See I know you’d drink Jamba Juice you fucking chad!” “They’re good okay?! Godsss…” They took another drink and closed the bottle, setting it down on the table. “Listen,” they said huskily, clearing their throat. You took a bite out of your noodles before looking back at him with a mouth full. “I know I like to fuck around with you a lot, but, at leassst I’m not like that banana boat lookin’ fuckhead. Besssidesss… you’re funny, and I like ya. You’re like the firssst cookie I’ve met besides the onesss related to mala sssauce and fire spirit that actually get me.” They smiled and put an arm around your shoulder.

It was true. You had known Pitaya for a while now, the other dragons included. You felt their unusual fiery warmth emanate from their arm as they hugged you close to their side. “I mean it, yeah? You understand?” They said lowly as they turned slightly towards you. You swallowed a bit and nodded, a bit flustered at the sudden behavior change. “Pitaya… what are you-“ “Ssstop talking, cookie.” They cut you off before giving you a small peck on the lips, which caught you so off guard. You felt your cheeks heat upon contact, stuttering in the kiss as you tried to regain your composure. They slid a hand down your arm. After they let you go, they looked into your eyes, that shojo gleam coming from them, before…

“Hehe… heheheh… HAHAHAHAHAHA!”

You blinked to see and hear them laughing. Feeling your face redden even more, you glared at them quite intensely, whining to yourself. “Hey… why are you laughing?” You asked quietly. After they finished bellowing, they sighed, and put a hand to their forehead. “You shoulda ssseen your face! Did you really think I was being ssserious? Do you really think that I wasss coming onto you? Pleassse! Hahahahahaaaa!”

Of course, see you knew they would pull something like this. Your proceeded to smack the shit out of them, while they continued to laugh and laugh. Whatever drove you to that dragon anyway? Strange…
