Today, a name that is also a word! As a proper noun, 小作 is usually read Kosaku or Ozaku, or potentially Kotsukuri, Kozukuri, or Kohagi. As a common noun, 小作 (こさく) means tenant farming, while 小作り (こづくり) means small build/size (for objects). Don't confuse it with its homophone 子作り, which means trying to conceive.

小 means little or small, and it’s read ちい.さい, こ, お, さ, or ショウ.

作 is new to this blog, but it's very useful! It means make, produce, prepare, or build. It can be read つく.る, つく.り, -づく.り, サク, or サ.
