i havent watched the call me by your name movie, but i am reading the book, and can i just talk about how REAL the author is?????
like when i tell you 70% of the book is just elio's INTRUSIVE thoughts, i mean 70% of the book is LITERALLY ELIOS INTRUSIVE THOUGHTS. like typically id get so bored and hate a book if it was just a characters thoughts the whole time, id be like omggg wheres the drama... babe. his HEAD IS THE DRAMA.
i mean like,, its not your typical "oh he's so fine, i wonder if he thinks of me". nah. its "holy shit hes wearing blue swimming trunks i wonder what they smell like? what would he do if i snuck into his room and put them on after he went swimming so that they're dirty and smell and got myself off in them?" LIKE WHAT?????? bro said "i want to lick every single one of his toes, between every crevice and" HUHH????
i mean honestly, not a big fan of the age gap, and im not saying that i love whatever is going on in elios head, i'm saying i love the way the author wrote this. like it reminds me that elio is really human like the rest of us, and unlike most writing styles, we aren't just seeing 20% of his thoughts, all normal, we're seeing EVERYTHING. the author holds nothing back

guys a writer beige flag i have is that i literally can't commit, i didn't think my commitement issues literally reflected in my writing habits its so bad, i'll come up with the best series ideas and quit midway!? to her monster was so clever and then i dropped it, then the one with bokuto and reader growing up and then i dropped it, then it took me THREE years to post the last episode of to her flowers, i dropped m for manipulative (which wasn't that good anyways)....
at least we know why i slay all the drabbles though, short sweet and ignore everyone that screams part two in my inbox TnT

started, posted, and cancelled a haikyuu mystery au series before i even started it, and it unexpectedly blew up, so now i’m trying my best to write the rest of the plot in a way that’ll make everything make sense
because what y/n did seems literally impossible without some kind of magic LOL anyways i need help now, so can someone PLEASE tell me which version you prefer? the series is seen through the eyes of the guys, but i can’t figure out if i want it in first person or third :) oh and these are through bokuto’s eyes

1) FIRST PERSON
I wonder why I even try anymore.
This was the sole reason why I’ve stayed at home: the looks that everyone is giving me.
Wether I stay at home or face the public, they’re all thinking the same thing — poor boy, lost both his parents in one day, what a pity. They’ll come up to me and offer their condolences, but they’re silently judging me. I can see it in the way their brows furrow, or the way they cannot meet my eyes.
I don’t want to be pitied, not when it makes me feel guilty for not feeling even a quarter of the pain that they’re assuming I do.
“Bo!” Miss Lana greets me, opening her arms and succumbing me in a suffocating embrace. “I am so sorry, my home is always open to you.” And she does the same thing that everyone else is doing: tilts her head, takes his hands, and smiles pitifuly.
Oh fuck me.
2) THIRD PERSON
Bokuto wonders why he even tries anymore.
