The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "The first of man's deeds for which he will be called to account on the Day of Resurrection will be Salat. If it is found to be perfect, he will be safe and successful; but if it is incomplete, he will be unfortunate and a loser. If any shortcoming is found in the obligatory Salat, the Glorious and Exalted Rubb will command to see whether His slave has offered any voluntary Salat so that the obligatory Salat may be made up by it. ﷽ فَاِنَّ مَعَ الۡعُسۡرِ يُسۡرًا ۙ‏  (94:5) Indeed, there is ease with hardship. اِنَّ مَعَ الۡعُسۡرِ يُسۡرًا ؕ‏  (94:6) Most certainly, there is ease with hardship. This has been repeated twice so as to reassure the Prophet ﷺ that the bad times he was passing through at that time would not last for ever, but were going to be replaced by good times in the near future. On the surface this appears to be a contradiction that hardship should be accompanied by ease, for these two things do not co-exist. But the words hardship with ease instead of ease after hardship have been used in the sense that the period of ease is so close to it as if it were a concomitant of it.
