Listen the obvious answer is Corinthian and Morpheus right but it’s not just cause they’re neat together and opposite of each other but it’s just the dynamic between creator and masterpiece, the constant need for Dream’s attention while simultaneously trying to be his own person/nightmare and the way you write the Corinthian always kinda teetering on the edge and just the complex relationship dynamic between trying to live up to your creator’s expectations while being subject to the cravings he gave you just chefs kiss
Anyway I have feelings
Anonymously tell me what your favourite ship for my muse is. / accepting always !!
I, too, have feelings about this ship as a whole. It's complex, and complicated 'cos each is different from each other in a sense. He is the artist and Corinthian is the art; Morpheus is the sculptor and Corinthian is the sculpted. Both touch-starved in ways that are different 'cos they had different experiences to gain that touch-starveness. Corinthian is the opposite from Dream, made to be different from what Dream is. A Dark Mirror. He was made to be this and that and everything in between. He wanted Dream's attention since I think he never got much of it. Perhaps at the start, and then never again
And to acknowledge that sentence: I'll re-shape the world to look like me makes me think that's something to draw Dream's attention to him. If all humans somehow look like him. The creation creating something for himself, to be his own man and taste and learn what gains Dream's attention, but to also experience. To enjoy and take pleasure in. To do what you were made to do but in the Waking World!
Then there's the disappointment, and knowing that Corinthian ( in the comics ) felt SHAME. Haha-- *sobbing*

Reactions to Trash Boss's Chapter 131
TLDR; Trash subordinates wanted to go with their boss, but was not allowed by Brain Demon. Heavenly Demon met Cale and figured out that Cale was not a martial artist.
Soos? LSH = ❌ CJS = ❌
Cale's Headache-Inducing Trash Subordinates This part started off as funny, but soon became tense and serious.
Sima Jung: I'm going too! Ha Mun: Me too! Cale: ... Cale: *glances at the other Sima siblings* Sima Dan: *has flushed cheeks* Cale: Are you drunk? Sima Gong: She's been drinking for 17 hours now. Cale: Sigh... Sima Gong: *licks his lips in excitement as he thought of making a bet again* Raon: Human! Sima Gong looks strange! Cale: Sigh...
Hahaha.... Sorry, Cale, but your "subordinates" are just too funny 🤣🤣🤣
The serious and tense part began when Brain Demon said no and pushed Sima Jung and Ha Mun to the ground, declaring that unauthorized visitors to the Demon Cult were viewed as attackers.
Sima Jung and his father, the Evil Alliance Leader This part was sad yet heartwarming. So the reason why the Good and Evil Factions did not recklessly touch Sima Jung despite him being trash was because of his father. Everyone saw his father's shadow in him.
But Toonka and Cale were different. They saw him as just "him" and not "the son of the Evil Alliance Leader," so he liked the two. Awww....🥰
Now, why was Sima Jung's father brought up? Because Brain Demon said that he did not care about offending Sima Jung's father. In the end, Sima Jung swallowed his pride and bowed, politely asking for permission to enter the Demon Cult's place.
The "Messenger" The last part was exciting. We finally meet Heavenly Demon! 🎉
And it doesn't stop there. Heavenly Demon also busted Cale (via Chi Hidden Voice) for not being a martial arts master! 😂
What about the "messenger" part? Heavenly Demon had actually disguised himself as a messenger from the Demon Cult when he met Cale, and only Cale figured it out (because Raon told him that the messenger was the strongest person he ever met in this world).
If anyone asked what Heavenly Demon looked like, he was described as dressed in a black "ninja"-like outfit and had black eyes.
The chapter ended with Cale being asked if he could be trusted, and Cale replying yes.
Ending Remarks Overall, this chapter was good. I thought the author was going to spend a chapter describing their journey to the Demon Cult like how she did when Cale visited the Murim Alliance Leader. But lo and behold, we meet Heavenly Demon this fast!
I guess she wanted to speed up a bit because the murim arc is taking too long. We have not even met the Blood Cult, the Blue Blood family, or figured out what Karin Orsena was doing with them. Heck, Zed is still missing. And our Cale misses the Roan Kingdom already (and his slacker life)...
Anyway, that is all for today. See you all on Friday!

I have not had the time to really keep up w social media lately but I did enter V into @sonic-oc-showdown so I’m throwing together a post about him for anyone who hasn’t seen him before. Sege linked me a list of questions for an ask game so I’m going to answer those under the cut.
He also has a toyhouse page, which is a little out of date, but very lightly touches some darker topics (some medical and medical experimentation themes, mentions of drug use, mentions of trauma, violence and mental illness). V is a long-time comfort character which also means he has suffered so much bc that’s how we roll sometimes.
Art credits: me, Tracey Yardley!, @werewolfri0t, @spiritsonic, @pidgeonspen, @forkthief, @sege-h, @finitevus, @fini-mun, @starlitskvader (Legitimately could not choose which pictures to include so I included a lot of them. sorry. I love them all so much. If you’re not following these wonderful artists already you should be!)
✨- How did you come up with the OC’s name? “Agent” bc he works for GUN, “VX” bc it’s the name of a nerve agent. It is also a subtle pun. You’re welcome.
🌼 - How old are they? (Or approximate age range) Current-day V is 35 years old, but as a riftclaw he’d fall into the 18-21 age group (adult, still kinda dumb and impulsive).
🌺- Do they have any love interest(s)? V is poly and is dating several people at once. He’s married to Caprice for legal reasons, but the whole of the polycule encompasses them and Curie, Valke and Luka, w V having a couple casual partners not involved in the main polycule (Atos [for now], Chad, Neura).
🍕 - What is their favorite food? V doesn’t really like to eat and kinda treats it as an unfortunate necessity of continuing to live.
💼 - What do they do for a living? V works for GUN in a weird in-between position; on paper he’s a field agent but he ends up doing multiple different jobs especially if there’s gaps that need filling. At the moment he’s acting medical examiner while they find someone qualified enough to handle the weirder cases that come through GUN’s HQ.
🎹 - Do they have any hobbies? He buries himself in work a good 95% of the time but he sure loves to play minecraft. He’s banned himself from videogames bc he knows if he plays more than one he’ll never get anything done again.
🎯 -What do they do best? V’s main strength is that he’s stubborn as hell and willing to smack his head against something repeatedly until he wins. His whole side goal is developing a cure for a genetic illness that’s present in his clan and despite this seeming impossible he has been pushing his way through an insane amount of study while also holding down his GUN job in order to eventually do that.
🥊 -What do they love to do? What do they hate to do? He loves learning about new horrible poisons and diseases, which is one of his favourite pastimes. He also loves spending time w his datemates/packmates (two different things). He hates being told what to do so anything he’s being commanded to do is something he hates in that moment. Hilarious.
❤️ - What is one of your OC’s best memories? The first time he got to hold his son again after giving him up for adoption shortly after he was born. That Muna’s new parents wanted him to still have some kind of relationship with him was an unexpected joy for him.
✂️ - What is one of your OC’s worst memories? There’s this whole 6-month period of his life where he was “working” for Glory he does not like to remember at all.
🧊 - Is their current design the first one? No but it’s still very close. The main changes were removing the spines on the tail and adding the big triangular eye markings.
🍀 - What originally inspired the OC? Thorny devil lizards + horrible poisons I was reading about as a teen. Then I watched Repo! The Genetic Opera and you can probably see where I got his outfit from if you know anything about it.
🌂 - What genre do they belong in? Whatever genre you’d assign an edgier sonic game like SA2 or ShTH.
💚 - What is your OC’s gender identity and sexuality? I call him genderfluid and alloaro (+ bi/pan) although he doesn’t really ID as either in-universe. His perception of his own gender tends to change a lot, and “he” is just the easiest pronoun to use when you work with humans a lot.
🙌 - How many sibling does your OC have? He was raised as an only child; he has a half-sister who lives in a different world and has adopted a few of his alternate selves + their siblings.
🍎 - What is the OC’s relationship w/their parents like? His relationships w his mum and grandpa (the parents who raised him) are quite positive; he visits them at least once a year during the big gathering the clan holds in June. His relationship with his father is terrible and he’s threatened to kill the guy at least twice.
🧠 - What do you like most about the OC? This one is difficult to answer bc I’ve been rotating him constantly in my mind for 10+ years now. I like drawing him and writing about him and also thinking about what’s going on in his mind. Also I project a lot on him. That’s fun.
✏️ - How often do you draw/write about the OC? Extremely but I never finish writing. I draw him more than anyone else atm.
💎 - Do you ever see yourself killing off the OC? No, bc it’s funny if the guy who doesn’t really wanna survive lives forever.
💀 - Does your OC have any phobias? He has a general fear of losing his control of his self, which is specifically triggered by Glory’s mind control powers but applies more broadly to having his autonomy restricted.
🍩 -Who is your OC’s arch-nemesis or rival? Glory is V’s biggest adversary and basically like, his end boss. He has a couple smaller opponents (couple guys in the UF military structure, Ossein) to go through first though.
🎓 - How long have you had the OC?/ 🍥 - What age were you when you created the OC? Since I was 17 or so, so about 16-17 years. We’re old!

Development Notes from the Mun ✨
I've decided to start a new trend for myself on Mundays. I'm going to share some "behind the scenes" notes, sort of to show you guys the creative process that goes into writing my muse. There's a lot of little things that I haven't shared with you guys before. So, let's get into a few of them.
Lusamine's last name is a reference to Eugéne Delacroix, a very famous French Romantic painter. Despite being well-regarded for his art, and cementing himself into history as one of the most recognizable artists of his time and genre, Eugéne Delacroix drove himself to a point of illness due to his obsession with his work. He had a very uneasy relationship with the art establishment and the press as well. I drew inspiration from that for Lusamine's obsessive fixation on her own life's work, along with her less-than-warm relationship with the scientific community, despite making major contributions to her field.
Her touch aversion is a reference to the flower that she is named after in the French translation: balsamina. Impatiens balsamina is better known as the Touch-Me-Not. Impatiens balsamina is also an invasive species on several islands in the Pacific Ocean, hence why I tend to describe Lusamine as "parasitic" while inhabiting Alola. (Easy to do so, since she isn't from this universe to begin with.)
The creation of Silvally has one foot in modern genetic engineering, and one foot in mythology and legend, to represent the difference between aether, and ether. 'Aether' is a classical alchemical element, and was believed to be what comprised the heavens where the gods existed. It is the space in between. Ether, on the other hand, is a clear chemical compound used as an anesthetic, and is incredibly volatile. Both words have the same root, and both have a connection to the concept of "purity," yet they represent entirely different schools of thought. As a perfect representation of the duality of aether and ether, Lusamine is attempting to create a modern forme of the source of All.

About the Character
Personality: Natsu is a reserved person who usually doesn’t like to socialize with others and usually finds herself lost in her own thoughts. She is an ambitious girl who likes to reach her goals and strives to do her best. Natsu is also known for seeming rude when really she speaks the honest truth or her opinion and doesn’t really know how to make it seem nice. She’s also open minded but more conservative when it comes to relationships, but that doesn’t stop her curiosity and readings. Her temperament isn’t the best as she can snap easily and can be grumpy frequently. Keeper: Laito Sakamaki Relationship: Natsu and Laito have an interesting relationship together. While she did select him, she didn’t expect Laito to be so different from what she expected. There are times where they don’t get along, sometimes where Natsu is in no control, and most other times being calm and relaxing. It’s common for Natsu to pick on Laito for his sexual advances as she has a little perverted nature herself.
The Character’s Familial/Biographical Information
Mother: Hiroko
Father: Jiro
Siblings?: None
Other relatives?: Natsu has a large extended family on both sides, but it’s rare for her to see them. Familial Background: Natsu’s family on both sides were in the poverty line, but when her parents met, they both were young and working hard. After a long time together, graduating school, and also getting required certificates for work, her parents built up their material status and joined the middle class. Natsu was born a few years after their marriage and lived a regular life until there was an incident in Natsu’s high school career.
What brought them to the boys?: During the break between changing years, Natsu ended up being struck by a car when she herself was in a vehicle. The impact was enough to severely wound her, but emergency vehicles arrived before she bled out completely. While Natsu barely even knows what happened, a medical official named Reinhart assumed her dead to her parents before sending her off to the Sakamaki mansion after she recovered.

Before we start...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(sketch art by juliuuz_,colored art by nan3nby)
About writing style:
Normal font is Atsuha's lines, 𝔻𝕠𝕦𝕓𝕝𝕖 𝕊𝕥𝕣𝕦𝕔𝕜 𝕗𝕠𝕟𝕥 𝕗𝕠𝕣 𝕁𝕦𝕟𝕡𝕖𝕚'𝕤 𝕝𝕚𝕟𝕖𝕤.
The lore is pretty advanced, but time can be pretty inconsistent around here; I've sort of advanced the character lore during RP periods in Telegram and Twitter, so yeah, there might be inconsistent mentions...
I was planning to answer asks through drawings with texts, but I haven't been drawing as constantly as I used to... Still, I do hope to get back on usual drawing track and eventually drop autoral art; until then, any drawing made by other artists will be properly tagged.
JJAK continuity rules (that’s how it will play out, independent of how Jujutsu plays out for now on*):
2023/2024 - 6/7 years after the events of JJK
Jujutsu society is being reconstructed and restructured, with certain delays due to the pandemic and also governmental situation.
Even with more people being able to see things with and use Cursed Energy, there's still a small number of sorcerers. * more of a personal note to myself, who struggles daily with 'accuracy to source when writing or drawing'; still working on undoing this decision and feel okay with what I create as before
SPOILERS BELOW! With or without differences, it's best to warn:
Tumblr media
After the Shinjuku Showdown, Yuta survived and DID return to his original, stitched up body (hides scar with make-up); Maki was VERY persuasive. He also made a Binding Vow to never use Kenjaku's body switch technique again. In current times, Maki and him are verbally engaged.
The pandemic years were stressful, and yet sabbatical for the surviving sorcerers; they finally had the time to grieve their fallen comrades, and to start reestablishing Jujutsu HQ's rule book. Also, there'll be democratic elections for new higher-up positions; Gakuganji is still alive, but he needs a ‘heir’ of sorts to not just take his position when he dies but also keep Yaga’s secret safe.
Despite all signs pointing to a Geto situation, Megumi is able to recover enough to not only grieve over Tsumiki and Gojo, but also to learn about his father through Shoko; later on, he changes his first name to Meguru and leaves Jujutsu High, while still keeping in touch with Yuji and the others (funny enough, they actually argue about this late fact on the same spot Gojo and Geto had their 'break up', but Yuji's concerns end up framed as an 'understandable misunderstanding' and they once more compromise on 'living and making Gojo-sensei's dream come true'). Currently, he founded the Fushiguro clan alongside Hana Kurusu in a secret location, only known by the assistants.
Tumblr media
Satoru Gojo is fondly remembered, not much more as 'the strongest', but instead almost at a 'deity' position, to everyone's chagrin, especially Yuta.
About Atsuha Soga
Blog rules:
Atsuha's loyal to her title of 'Aikō-ka', an enthusiast, being for Jujutsu or other things. She'll be VERY happy to answer questions or get new info about it.
There might be a bit of NSFW mentions, but not always; Atsuha's sort of hesitant about it, unless it's with her boyfriend.
Homophobes, racists, zionists, sexists, haters, DON'T EVEN COME. This is meant to be a peaceful place.
She's not much of an RP person, despite the description. She takes questions one at a time.
Her mood can variate: some days, she'll be up for questions, other times, she's a bit more sensitive, there are even days where she 'just can't even'.
Her Binding Vow with Junpei joined their souls, so beyond answering asks, his thoughts might bring unexpected commentary.
Cross-fandom allowed, but mainly this is a JJK ask blog.
Please be patient with the mun; life happens, but eventually the asks will be answered.
And finally, let's have fun!

Look who just woke up- is that KIM TAE-RI? No, I must have been mistaken, that’s MUN JI-YEON from PJO (OC, child of hypnos, luke’s side). I heard they are 26 and stuck here just like everyone else. Even in the 20’s, she still gives off a HEAD SLOWLY FALLING TO THE TABLE IN SLEEPINESS, A BLUE BUTTERFLY FLUTTERING SOMEWHERE TO HIDE, PREFERRING THE COMFORT OF HER ROOM THAN SOCIAL GATHERINGS, HAUNTED BY NIGHTMARES SHE CAN EASILY CURE, ACCEPTING DEATH TO BE WITH HER LOVED ONES impression. In Sydney, they work as a ART STUDENT. They’re known to be quite COMPASSIONATE & CALMING, but have a tendency to be SHY & SELF DOUBTING on their bad days.
Gender/Pronouns: cis female, she/her
How long have they been in Sydney: one yea
Which suburb do they live in? haymarket
Personality description (in your own words):  ji-yeon is incredibly reserved and shy. her father may be classed as lazy, ji-yeon can be seen as similar for refusing plans, not going out and spending a lot of time in their room. but they just prefer to be alone and despite being kind and easy to get along with, they often isolate themselves and can feel burnt out if with crowds for too long. ji-yeon is not idle, they do work and study, but prefers to be inside rather than out. an introvert that wants nothing but to relax with a good book and to drift off into that sweet state of being half asleep and awake. if you’re lucky enough, ji-yeon can be a wonderful friend. they will go out of their way to make people comfortable, casting sleep or dream like states if you’re in distress. typically, of course living up to being a child of hypnos, ji-yeon tends to live in a dream. a fantasy. it’s better that way to keep her nightmares and bad thoughts away. their downfall is being so closed off and timid, it would be a weakness in battle as they push people away. but not that ji-yeon would get into a battle or even an argument. they are, in all senses, a pushover. if you tell her she’s wrong, she will agree with you. they don’t think much of themselves. but despite not being able to trust people, they are still compassionate. still wants to see the good in everyone. she is easy to talk to, people often feel comfortable with her and even gravitate towards them. maybe it’s just their aura of relaxation that people crave.
Memories of their real life:
(might be a bit clunky bc prewritten)
ji-yeon was born on a clear night on the 7th september 1997. her mother was a painter and a gentle soul who loved ji-yeon from first instance. their mother never knew that their father was a god and they had a short affair for only a few months. he never returned when she was pregnant, but by the time ji-yeon was born, their mother had met their adoptive father and fell into a relationship. her adoptive father love her as his own and never questioned it. when ji-yeon was 4, they became and older sibling to a brother they were a perfect happy family, her father working as a captain of a ferry and her mother as an artist. Ji-yeon manifested their power quite young, putting people to sleep without realising it. They began to try and control it when they were about 7, learning to only do it when she touched people. They developed their power naturally on their own, working on influencing dreams as well. No one could understand it in their family, but no one questioned it. But when they were 9, tragedy had hit. Their father was out over seas, and ji-yeon had put her mother and brother to sleep like most nights. However, a fire had started in the kitchen due to something still being plugged in. ji-yeon could not wake her mother or brother because they were in such a deep sleep. Ji-yeon got out after shapeshifting into a butterfly for the first time. After that, they became more reserved. Their father resigned his job to stay with her and ji-yeon never used her Hypnokinesis powers apart from to help steady their own nightmares. She was claimed when she was 11. Her father and her were on a fishing boat trip when a sea monster attacked. Ji-yeon tackled it by putting the monster into a deep sleepy. Hypnos had been watching (as he often did check in on them from time to time in her dreams) and finally introduced himself as her real father, impressed by how she managed to put such a powerful creature to sleep with only her own training. Hypnos had comforted his daughter, reassuring her that they were special and powerful and that they could control their powers if they tried. that's when she started attending camp half blood. But they never learnt nor gained the power to retrieve memories, choosing to lock their own away in the back of her head, as to not relive the trauma of losing her brother and mother. she learnt how to shapeshift into a blue morpho at camp, but can't stay in the form for more than a few hours. eventually, she was befriended by luke one day and brought into his ideologies, because she's easy to manipulate and after telling him about her mother and brother. it was due to her timid nature and feeding into 'your father is a god, he could have saved your mother and brother' that she joined that side. she didn't necessarily share all the beliefs. but she did partake in the final battle, despite only briefly. but that cost her life.
What was their fake life like: tba
label: fragile butterfly
wanted connections: friends!!

OOC ask for Mun but I’m curious, what art program do you use? And if clip studio what pens do you use and what canvas size/resolution do you use? I keep on finding it so hard to format my art onto tumblr since it always comes out so blurred.
Tumblr media
I use CSP, but mostly for end process stuff, like adding gradients and text. Otherwise, Paint Tool SAI is my main...squeeze (the logo's a lime.) I grew up on it and have been using it probably for 10+ years now! Still learning too :) but I think I’ve got a decent grasp on it as a program.
Unfortunately, this means I don't have much brush-wise on CSP that isn't the default, sorry I can't be more help there. From What I've used, the mechanical pencil tool is one of my favorites for sketching though 😄
As for your formatting issue, I know resolution may make a difference. By learning and now practicing habits, I draw in 300dpi (a bit high in comparison to most default 90-ish in programs). However, Tumblr may be blurring things because a file is too big instead of too small, so if working in high DPI, it's good to keep images 1k or under in pixels (I draw in 2k X 2k, but It’s just to have space. I tend to stick to a smaller spot and crop down to like 600/700 after everything’s done). I think 500-800 px is best for immediate dashboard viewing. (Not when clicking to pop out.) Anything bigger or smaller in my case gets just a bit fuzzy.
-- Ahem, so I'm not leaving it out though, for those that do use SAI, I will go ahead and drop some brushes below, along with usage under the cut (and if anyone knows how to convert them to CSP, let me know because I've been slowly learning the brush settings program in CSP to carry over my arsenal from SAI lol!)
Tumblr media
Honestly, I use the marker tool for most things besides coloring (where I don't want low density), but I do use it for color blending/accents/blush(etc.), on pieces off-blog. The slider bars are always changing! Density, blending, and persistence LOL. (I rarely touch the advanced settings though).
I also rarely use the Pen/linework tools, but if anyone's interested, I added them. I enjoy really graphic (comic) styles where lines are a big focus, so I enjoy thicker lines with lots of line-weight variation. (Admittedly I'm a line-art artist versus a color expert, but I've been working on it!)

Sorry if this isn't the place to ask but I'm in need of advice. I have a canon character I truly adore, but I haven't gotten muse or any opportunity to write them at all. My blog is collecting dust and the fandom is kinda dead at this point. Not to mention, it's hard to find compatible writing partners, especially with how picky I can be. I'm honestly considering deactivating the blog (for the nth time), but I don't want to lose the writing I have. I know I could archive, but I hate having blogs just sitting around.
In short, I really want to write the muse/keep the blog but I'm not getting any incentive to do that.
Hello, Anon, it’s totally the place to ask!
I will say, though, that since finding and keeping muse can be flavored rather personally, I can’t promise that what works for me is going to work for you. I’ll even confess that in over two decades, I’ve never personally lost muse. I don’t know if it is due to underlying, neurodiverse style, fixating, or if it is due to keeping myself continually invested in both my muse and writing regardless of what else is going on. (Probably a combination of both, though, and the things I do to keep myself highly in touch with my muse I’ll be recommending.) I’m definitely happy to try to help, however.
Tumblr media
That really is a very frustrating spot to be in, wanting to write the muse and keep your blog active, but logging in every day to be reminded of what little reason you have to do so. Since we’re drawn to the characters we are for reasons of personal appeal and writing in itself is a pretty personal form of art, it can also feel depressing on top of the frustration.
However, that’s also the good news, in my opinion, because your incentive here is, or can be, yourself.
You were drawn to this character because you connected with them. They mean something to you, you can relate to them, maybe they have qualities (good or bad) that you wish you could experience. Whatever it is, there’s a reason why you had this draw. Writing is like that as well, there’s a reason why this is a hobby that drew you, that you get enjoyment out of. Again, though all art (it doesn’t matter if it is a hobby) has personal bits of the artist in it, writing is uniquely personal. When you write, you’re exploring thoughts and feelings, giving them life in a character that matters to you. I know, all of that sounds really convoluted and hokey, but it’s true.
And it’s good! That means you always have a reason to write and that you have the tools necessary to find and keep muse without any outside push necessary.
I’d say, firstly, work on getting muse back.
Get back in touch with your muse the next time you feel a particularly strong urge to write. Instead of spending time trying to find people in a silent fandom or forcing yourself to write something you don’t want to, just do some exercises that will help you get back into your muse.
I don’t know what media type your character comes from, but especially if it is something like movie or show that you can have on in the background of what you’re doing, do that. If it’s a comic or a book, think about your favorite scene and read it over first. If you’ve ever made some playlists for writing/your muse, you can always do that instead or as well. The point is to do something passively inspiring while you actively create. Now, that creating...
You want to do something that requires you to think about your muse so you can get in touch with them, not something that is going to make you feel overwhelmed and shut down. So, maybe don’t pick writing prompts for this - you can work up to that. Try out headcanon and character development memes and other question lists instead for right now. Things you can scroll down a list of, find questions that jump out as interesting (or even simply answerable to you at this point, you’re jump-starting a dead battery, it’s alright) and answer them. You can also do something as simple as write down what you like best about the character or their story, or put down the basics of filling in missing information that has always bugged you.
The beauty of this is that it is all on your own terms, your only objective here is to answer what you want, as much as you want. You can stop any time, but you can also answer a single question for three hours, making it eight pages long if the inspiration strikes you. It’s only about recharging your inspiration and establishing a connection with your character again. (This is also going to help you with getting back into writing, or approaching it for the first time, with a more internalized focus of interest.)
When you feel like you’ve done that, you can branch out on these exercises more. Answer the memes more in-depth, answer more of them/the ones you don’t have immediate answers for. You can also try writing out scenes from the characters canon from their perspective, if it wasn’t already so, adding in their thoughts and feelings, or changing the scene in some ways that would be interesting to write out. This is the point where it’s a good idea to try a writing prompt or two, as well! Take the prompt as a sort of starter sentence from a mutual, you’ve got the situation, fill in with your muse.
Write when you feel like writing. The RPC is great at saying this when it comes to muns not wanting to write, but kind of ignores the other side of the equation. The side where you want to write, have the inspiration and muse to do so, but it might not be the best time. As in, you’re not home/wherever you usually write, with whatever device you tend to write on accessible. No, you’re not going to be able to get as much done, but you can write without the usual situation and device regardless. You can write a scene or ideas down using your phone or tablet, or go old school and use a notebook. If you’re at work and your job isn’t applicable to being able to get down a single sentence, that still doesn’t mean you have to wait 8+ hours to get home; while you’re taking your break, write a little bit. It is a break, and writing is your hobby, it isn’t work. It’s good to do things you enjoy on breaks, and far more fulfilling to have also accomplished something you happen to enjoy.
Not writing when you have the drive to do, putting it off and holding it in until “the perfect moment,” is a great way to lose your inspiration and never actually have that moment. If you feel like doing it, that means it is the perfect moment. Life is restricting, don’t impose even more restrictions on yourself by having to be at home, in a specific spot, with a specific device, at a specific time, on a specific day. Was that annoying repetition? You’re right, it was. And that’s how your creative mind processes all the crap piled onto it that doesn’t allow for creativity.
Now, the other problem, the fandom situation.
There isn’t anything you can do about that, to be absolutely honest. I’m not going to blow smoke and tell you to be positive, wait it out, maybe the fandom will spring to life again. You know, maybe it will...but you could be waiting literal decades for that to happen. Not cool. Please, take my word for that, it’s personal experience that it blows even more than you imagine it will.
What you can do is take the matter into your own hands in other ways; putting yourself out there with more availability in multiple ways.
Are you a single-fandom blog, or are you crossover friendly? If you’re not crossover friendly, try to think of a single, relatively popular fandom that you enjoy. Don’t look at it like a hassle, but rather, just another creative exercise. A serious pitfall of creating alternate universe versions of muses is to take the simplest route, merely picking something you want from that other universe and applying it to your muse with no relevant changes that would naturally occur from it. It isn’t just reductive as hell, it’s not remotely creative, it’s like sticking a sticker on your muse’s forehead and saying that’s a whole different muse. It’s neither attractive to potential partners nor going to sustain your own interest for long. You want this to be a passionate investment on your own end, for yourself.
What not to do:
Let’s say the fandom you picked to do crossovers with is based around magic, the main characters are witches, and they are divided into factions based on how their magical talents display and develop. Not only do you decide to make your muse a witch, you pick the most badass faction. It’s the one full of assassins and action and (metaphorically or literally) sex appeal. Well, that’s also going to be the most popular faction in the fandom. That means there will not only be plenty of big name canons there but also that there’s going to be a plethora of OCs designed just for this universe...and other crossovers from other currently active fandoms.
While that might sound like it’s great for maximizing interaction chances, it’s really not when you’re just starting somewhere new with a character from another fandom that might not be known or liked. It can also take a minute in another fandom’s RPC to identify where the good partners are. Every now and then, it is the most popular and over-populous era/faction/etc., but most of the time, it isn’t. People who write with considerable dedication and talent fairly rarely are in the popular kids club even in their fandom choices. By inserting yourself into that area, you might be bypassing (and being bypassed) by better partners on the assumption that their characters are simply going to bore you to death since they’re not within the scope of your focal point.
It’s not a situation of not being allowed to be picky, you not only have that right regardless of your situation, you also should be. This is not a “beggars can’t be choosers” situation, you’re not beholden to anyone on the basis of being new and bored. However, some of my best, and longest lasting, writing partners over all 23 years I’ve been RPing didn’t/don’t fit with all the exact surface details that automatically draw my interest. It is as true within my own fandom as it is in dealing with crossovers. Opposites (with enough similarities) really do attract and work out well together!
Don’t judge and write people off for anything that isn’t an issue of compatibility with your muse, your writing, or yourself. Decline someone because they do one line only and you are novella, they write topics that are upsetting to you, you can see no way your muse and theirs can interact without instant murder, or because you cannot stand writing with someone who is pulling 90% aesthetics and purple prose. Not because their muse is a witch who uses life-based magic, loves nature, is a healer, and into their health...while your muse in this AU is all about the death, only appreciates an urban environment and is grossed out by animals, kills as an occupation, lives on cheeseburgers and caffeine. You see what I’m saying? Don’t limit yourself unnecessarily!
What to do:
Did you consider if, in that hypothetical idea of a fandom, your muse based on their purely canon self would even fit into that faction? Or is it just something you wanted to see? If you didn’t consider this, or it was the latter, fix that. That’s bad.
If you’re not absolutely dead set on that and only that, think about what really does fit the muse better. Maybe, they would be better as a healer, someone who messes with the very fabric of reality, or someone who manipulates natural elements at will. Then again, they might not even be a witch. They could be more mundane in terms of power, but more accurate and interesting as a normal, human (or whatever). They could even be greatly opposed to the use of magic and witches. Use your muse’s original canon as a base to decide these things.
If you are absolutely dead set on it, though, you have a lot of work to do making the character into what amounts to a markedly different one while still retaining some recognizable aspects of themselves. Consider what events, in this new universe of fandom, might have happened to alter the character thus. Keep in mind that even small changes can have great consequences in a character’s development, and you might need to think about the myriad ways in which that can display, how it changes still more things for this character.
While that job becomes so much more intense when you haven’t planned out a path that matches your muse’s canon characterization at all, it is still an important part of constructing an AU, of any kind, in general. Ask yourself what experiences led to the character you know as you already know them (including your own headcanons, yes). Then, find similar possible experiences within your new fandom verse that can have the same effect. Again, though, it’s important to understand that you are never going to have an identical set of experiences, so you need to explore relevant changes still.
When you do this, you’re allowing your muse to more seamlessly fit into this other universe in a fleshed out, interesting way. Interesting both new partners and yourself.
Okay, next obnoxious question from me! Do you have multiple verses, or are you single-verse?
Whether you are already exploring new fandoms or not, by creating a variety of verses for others to interact with, you’re increasing your chances for interest and activity. When you have a verse from a different fandom you can then, additionally, advertise your presence in both that fandom’s tags when you do a promo or applicable open starter and on active RPer lists for that fandom.
Every popular fandom has such lists. You can get on them by messaging/sending an ask to the blog or by reblogging their post to be added, following the directions. I haven’t seen one yet that doesn’t allow for crossovers. You simply have to tag it as stated in the post, such as “your canon’s name here - original fandom name - crossover.” By tagging your open starter or promo as “-insert fandom here- rp” and “-fandom here- open starter” you allow people in that fandom to find you to interact. Either way is excellent for getting started in totally new places with a character others might be unfamiliar with.
Please remember that if you tag a promo as “promo,” it’ll not show up in searches off of your blog. You know, where it actually needs to be searched. Thanks, tumblr, for being janky! Being more specific as to the fandom and character will help others actually find you. Don’t shoot yourself in the foot by tagging it as “promo.”
Make your verses accessible on your blog itself, in the nature of those verses, and how you set up your page or post that lists them.
Don’t put any page behind an impossible or complicated aesthetic. You really shouldn’t anyway, but when you’re needing interactions, it’s actively hurting your chances. Many people don’t want to have to play a game with your theme, it’s a turn off. Try a pinned post that lists all of your links to important pages like rules, verses, and bio instead. It means that, even from the dash, that information can quickly be found while other muns are first interested, and also that anyone who might be using the app can access it more expediently. (I’m genuinely not a fan or big supporter of doing google docs for rules, verses, bios, etc., as it forces people off site, so I can’t personally say, in good conscious and honesty, that I’d recommend it, but you do you!) You want to keep things quickly accessible is the idea here; when people are interested, you want to catch them right then and there before they have a chance to forget and lose your blog.
As to the nature of the verses themselves, give people real options. Don’t have 20 verses that all read same way. Same themes, plot possibilities, and backstories, or incredibly similar names. Have a diverse list of verses that can act as foundations for a variety of different muns. As many fandoms as you can reasonably have a good portrayal of, and different types of fandoms; not all the same genre (all fantasy, all horror, all scifi). Verses where your muse has substantially different goals, occupations, and other life situations that will involve another muse; don’t make your muse A Warrior™ in every verse, you can keep plenty of those aspects without being that literal. People love “modern” verses set in our own universe and, usually, in our own era. That doesn’t mean you have to go stereotypical or otherwise bore yourself by doing the standard “high school/college verse,” for instance. You don’t even have to designate that sort of thing, let alone make it the focus; simply create the verse by considering what your character really would be like if they existed within your reality.
As a final note on verses as pertains to this point, when you’re doing crossover verses, it’s alright to do some verses where your muse from their own canon existence somehow ends up teleported or whatever to another fandom’s reality, or even our own. Just don’t make every verse like this, it puts the onus of a great deal of creativity and effort onto the other mun by default; your muse has cluelessly dropped into the universe, and while it is high drama time for you, the other mun has to babysit, educate, deal with fallout, etc.
On making the list of your verses accessible, you want to focus on ease of browsing and not being overwhelming. People tend to look through a verse page and not read every verse listed, rather, they look at the titles and breakdowns to see if it is of interest, then read it. Don’t try to make everyone read them all, it isn’t going to happen, and shouldn’t change your effort any as the right people are going to find the verses that interest them...if you make it clear and easy enough.
Have a basic format you stick to, firstly. I do it this way: small verse banner, title of verse (linked to its overall tag so that muns can look through the tag at headcanons, aesthetics, pictures of the FC, and threads), muse age/age range, small blurb, possible triggers found uniquely or just heavily within this verse. In that order, one following the other in a simple, but pleasing way. Below that, is a more in depth breakdown of the “verse canon.” Sometimes, that is giving a brief rehashing of canon itself and anywhere my muse differs, be it in this verse only or overall, ending with where my muse is in this verse. Not literally where. I mean their present occupation, emotional and general state in life. At the very end, I provide any other relevant links and/or an expansion on the triggers mentioned at the top of the verse description if they’re that serious/recurrent so that muns can decide this isn’t the verse for them. I happen to have a potentially triggering muse, triggering verses, and writing triggering topics, though. That’s not something everyone needs to do.
Secondly, group your verses in a sensible way. I do my short list of default verses first. (And, I do mean short, you don’t want this be any more than four or five, it is overwhelming right out of the gate.) For me, that is two default verses of canon at different points on the timeline, one default AU that is a bit of a reversal of canon, and one default “modern” verse. Then, I list the verses that are in line with the altered canon one, just different possibilities, changes, points in history. After that, the different “modern” verse options. Then, verses for other fandoms, the crossover verses. And so on. This way, a potential partner can find the type of verse that might appeal to them and have an easier time picking from those possibilities and getting ideas.
Lastly, don’t be so succinct that you give too little information and underwhelm, but also don’t be so excessive that it takes all of the mystery of interaction away and overwhelms someone. It can be a difficult balance to strike, and some verses require more information than others, just experiment a bit. Additionally, it’s fine to link to pertinent information for the other mun to view aside from this, but don’t just link people to a fandom wiki as your “description/bio.” That isn’t giving information on how you write this muse, approach this fandom, or what another mun can otherwise expect. Keeping your descriptions interesting is important, you’re not giving a boring lecture, you’re trying to inform someone while making them hyped for their choices. It’s more interesting, and informative, to read if you do them with an ear to the “tone” of your muse in that verse. Is it a sad one? Sound that way. These can, indeed, function as snippets of your writing, so be sure you are writing them with the same care you should be giving your replies; spellcheck, good word flow and use, mind the grammar, and read over what you’ve written for common, easy mistakes.
Again, by giving a genuine variety of verses to choose from, you’re allowing for a greater reach in potential partners. Everyone from those still in your original fandom to those in new ones, all the way to fandomless muses will be able to interact with you this way.
Finally, in regards to what you can change or do when you’re in a dead fandom and seeking interactions; make sure you are increasing your reach by using proper tags, being honest about what and how you write, and don’t wait for others to stumble across you.
When you use tags properly, you’re increasing your chances of being seen at all. Every time you post something at all applicable on your blog, tag it with relevant things. Tag as described above with whatever fandom it is and “RP,” your character’s name, “open RP,” character name and RP, indie RP, open starter, and so on. Be sure you are optimizing your tags by placing the most relevant to finding you in the first four, those are what show up in site-wide searches only. Anything after that isn’t going to appear in a search across all tumblr.
By tagging your character’s name, as a canon, you should know that you are likely to get personal blog interaction. I’m pretty against being nasty to personal blogs for no reason, as I don’t appreciate personal and fandom blogs being shitty to me for the sole reason that I am an RPer. Please, use clear, short, attention getting directions for them. If you want no interactions with them, put right in the description of your blog “RP blog, does not interact with personal blogs.” When you say things like, “personals dni,” or “personals blocked,” you’re not doing anyone any favors. Personal blogs often don’t even know what the hell a personal blog even is! They do not denote themselves this way, to a personal blog, they’re just a blog. By designating first that you are an RP blog, you’re making it clearer that they’re the personal; they’re obviously not an RP blog, so that must make them a personal. Follow this up in a pinned post, right on top. Give a note to personal blogs that describes them as “any blog that isn’t an RP blog” first, then either tell them in brief what they can and can’t do or that you don’t interact and will block.
I don’t recommend taking your blog off of being findable, however. That’s alright once you have the RP activity you are looking for, but until then, it’s working against you. Other RP blogs cannot easily find you either, they will only find you if you’re on a list or appear in their recommended blogs, if you interact with a mutual, or are recommended by a mutual. You’re not just lessening your chances of personal blogs finding you, so if you have that turned off, turn it back on.
Don’t entirely rely on others finding you regardless, though. You can’t be 100% passive when you have no interactions, and by relying solely on serendipity you’re far less likely to get them. I know that everyone here is terminally shy, but seriously, you have to do more than put your silent will into the universe that someone perfect find you. You have to make this happen. Once you get a few people, you can afford to be more passive. Not only do you have some people to write with, you will be more visible to their mutuals, and more established as a presence. I’m not saying this is easy, or that it will become easy, not awkward or stressful, if you have a legitimate issue behind the shyness. Just that it is the only way to really proceed, and I believe you can do it!
So, go looking for interesting blogs. Be crossover and OC friendly (again, this doesn’t mean “accept everyone,” there are valid reasons for not accepting people you won’t work out with that have nothing to do with their fandom or being an OC), and search those fandom’s RPCs, following any blogs you think you might work out with upon reading their rules and other pages. Search for fandomless OCs and do the same thing. Fandomless OCs aren’t just floating around in the ether, they just weren’t created expressly for a particular fandom and within its confines. What is excellent about that is their ability to have a wide variety of verses and many possibilities to fit into any fandom or verse. So, don’t count them out solely on the basis of being an OC and fandomless. It doesn’t mean what people seem to think it does!
Do not stop at having followed 50 blogs. I mean, other than that you probably should stop following people for a bit. That you should do, as you need to be building writing relationships here, not following so many people that you cannot get to them. Don’t just stop at the follow, though. Since you’ve read their rules and information like a good RP partner, you should have some idea of what their interests are and where they align with yours, as well as how they prefer to be approached, if they accept memes right away to start, need plotting, have a rules password. When they’ve followed you back, proceed with interaction!
Ask if they’d like to plot when they have time, you’re really looking forward to writing with them. But...have some idea of a plot, please. It is a serious turn off to have someone message you wanting to plot, only to reply and get “lol I don’t have any ideas, anything works for me/whatever you want to do.” That isn’t plotting, it’s one party coming up with ideas and constructing a plot while they’re being told “I’m fine with anything.” That may be true, but it’s disheartening and a red flag for many people. If you genuinely can’t come up with anything, pick verses that match up well and suggest doing something within them.
“When you have the time, would you be interested in discussing writing? I was looking at your verses, and I think your verse -name- and mine, -verse name-, would mesh well.” Is a good way to start. Once you have a discussion flowing about the verses meshing and the muses, it’s typically easy to organically develop some plot ideas to go off of.
If both you and the other mun are alright with plot-free interaction and memes, you can send a meme any time. If you can’t find any memes on their blog, look for a wishlist or navigation page that shows you the tags for memes/wishlist. Still can’t find it? Ask them if they’ve got a wishlist or meme tag you can look through.
Additionally, if open starters are a thing you both do and are alright with, find some of theirs and respond. Post your own, tag it appropriately to be found in general and on your blog, and reblog it once or twice. Don’t excessively reblog it, and don’t get upset on the dash if no one interacts with it or any memes you reblog. Both are demanding to outright guilting, and not a good way to get partners. Just provide them with the ability to easily interact by making the posts available in the first place and by making them findable on your blog search and navigation.
Provide something for potential partners to see. Since you said you already do have writing, that’s great! That’s content on your blog that your partners can view. However, since you’re also having the issues you’ve stated, it’s likely that you haven’t many new posts. Show that you are active, interested in being here, and how you write your muse (and in general) by posting some newer content. For original content, do a headcanon or some meta, or post about new verses you are adding, the changes on your blog, a promo. For reblogs, things pertaining to your muse like canon imagery, fanart, quotes from canon or that generally express your muse, and aesthetics relevant to your muse are all excellent things to queue.
Use that queue. Not only do very few people appreciate having dash spam of similar content for the comparatively short time you might be around, but also, running these things on a queue means you spread that out for maximum view. While there are hours of heavier activity, you’ll have mutuals who are on at unusual hours due to their life and preferences or their timezone. This way, you’re not appearing inactive, if not outright invisible, to those mutuals. It’s not a bad idea to use a queue tag so that people know if they interact with a post that’s been queued, you might be here to quickly respond.
Ultimately, to fix your fandom and lacking partners problem, you just need to up your availability and reach beyond that fandom alone. Be proactive in following and approaching, decline blogs based on not working out only, utilize tags and fandom RPer lists, have everything on your blog easy to follow and not overwhelming, and have your verses meet as wide of a range of people as possible while also not being overwhelming.
Try updating your promo, as well, by the way. They’re not dead, they just really tanked when people kept making them based solely on aesthetic principle instead of being at all informative about the muse. They do seem to be coming back, so it’s a thing to consider.
Yes, make it visually appealing, it will draw people to reading it. No, do not just use a song lyric or quote with words highlighted linking your rules, verses, bio. Tell people basic info like the age of your muse and yourself, if you are multiverse and multiship, your muse’s canon verse and a couple of big interest verses of other major fandoms or themes that tend to be of interest to people, and what kind of RP you write - one line/para/multipara/novella. Absolutely give links to rules, verses, bio, and either memes, wishlist, or open starters, but give them just like that; make it very clear what this link is to. Put a very short statement of interest on there denoting that you’re expanding to new fandoms and looking for writing partners.
Do not sound desperate, demanding, or devaluing of yourself. Don’t say shit like “because my fandom is dead,” “trying this before I give up and delete my blog,” or “I suck at interaction/writing/ooc interaction/being a person but welp giving it a try, so follow and hit that heart.” (Conversely, calling yourself derogatory things and implying that your partners are too, such as the “we’re all just losers here” shit.) All of the above are not attractive, and they’re not even surprising enough to stand out anymore. It’s another reason to scroll right by that promo because nothing at all was different or of interest.
And as a wrap-up/rehash of the first topic, getting muse back: try starting over at the beginning by approaching the media involving your muse that has really stuck with you emotionally over the years, and exploring and developing your muse again.
Don’t tell yourself you can only write, for example, at home, on the laptop, after 7pm, and with a pop toy staring at you. The best thing about writing, as opposed to so many other hobbies, is that you can do it anywhere! So, do that. Do it any time you both feel the inspiration to do so and aren’t going to get fired or expelled for it. This isn’t work, it’s something enjoyable that does take effort (like literally all creative activities and skills do), but approaching it as though you need to follow novel writing advice from someone who has never published anything of note and isn’t you on the internet, with strict rules for success makes it feel that way. So does being frustrated with a dead fandom, no interaction. It’s disheartening, feels as annoying and fruitless as work often does. You probably need to break out of that mindset, and you can only do it by beginning to allow yourself to be creative on your own terms, entirely for yourself.
Do write simple things at first that you are inspired to do (you can’t get a scene out of your head, or a bit of dialogue), and/or headcanon/character development memes and question lists. Build from there as you get back in touch with your muse, writing things primarily or entirely for yourself still. Expanding on headcanons, doing some meta, or maybe writing out a missing piece of canon or what you’d be interested in seeing happen in canon if some event was altered.
Doing this sort of thing, you are getting in touch with your muse again and back into the real spirit of writing creatively, simultaneously.
Whatever you find most inspiring, do it. If it’s watching the movie or show again, do that, have it on while you write or simply think on the character’s actions, thoughts, and emotions during those scenes. If it’s reading the material again, do that, and read snippets of personal importance before you write. Maybe it’s some past playlists you can have on while writing, or even while you’re cleaning, walking the dog, driving or riding somewhere. It could even be your own previous writing! Go ahead and re-read that, it sounds like you still appreciate it, and that’s truly promising. If you find that you’re horrified by some of the things you’ve written in the more distant past, hey...that’s not just valid as hell, it’s natural. You know what else it is? An inspiration. You can clearly see that you could do better, that means you now know how to do better and are ready to do so. Validate yourself, prove it to yourself by rewriting or fixing something.
Don’t delete the blog or archive it. It is unpleasant to have a dead blog around, but don’t keep it dead. Use the same blog and simply transition it into wider things that will net you more partners and the interactions you deserve.
Look, even if you weren’t the most popular blog in your fandom before it went quiet, you really appreciated the blog, muse, and writing you were doing. You’ve defined that it wasn’t something you did to cause this situation, you just had the shit luck we all run into eventually of being in a fandom that ran out of material or interest. People are really fickle, so by taking a wider approach and fixing on the writing and muse instead of fandom now, you’re stopping this from repeating. Seriously, on a long enough timeline, every fandom dies or goes into hibernation. If you make a whole new blog with a different muse, it is going to happen again eventually.
So, don’t feel like you’re ridiculously clinging to the past and need to move on, you’re just sticking to something and can continue to stick to it through the next five fandom deaths. Just because it is the most popular thing to do to drop muses, constantly add new ones, and have this attitude that you can “blog refresh” your way out of recurrent, and inherent, problem doesn’t mean it is actually the right thing to do. It’s not even the most sensible, and certainly not the best thing to do with anything you’ve spent time and effort on.
That’s your incentive; yourself, the time and care you’ve put in, and your continued interest in writing and the muse. You’ll find good people, and bluntly, everyone else can fuck right off when you’re incentivized by yourself. It becomes a self-fulfilling activity at that point, I swear, and it feels really nice.
Just get back in touch with your muse and writing itself so that you can begin to expand and start interacting again!

hey everyone! ummm this is peyton (also the mun of lee hyeon) taking a second shot at a second character — i have a lot of muse for this one, so i swear he’ll be around for a while… 🥵 this is ryu geon, yes his name rhymes with hyeon’s & no i do not care ♥️ he’s the lead guitarist/vocalist of meta and also the son of a former nobody rockstar, but i’ll get into all that below! like this post if you’d like for me to come into your ims to plot, click the read more for more info on geon, and/or click here to be taken to his pages: CAREER, DOSSIER, PINTEREST.
HISTORY.
born in autumn ‘97 to a “budding rockstar” (translation: “no yeah i swear our band’s really starting to take off, we sold twenty-three tickets to our last show!”) & a woman with commitment issues ♥️ geon’s dad always told him that his mom left because she had some dire matters that needed to be taken care of and SWORE that she cried the last time she held her dear baby boy, but all of his dad’s bandmates say that she was just some groupie and had to be persuaded into carrying her child to term… who can say for sure?
naturally, there are no pictures of this mystery woman. there was one (1) of her holding infant geon, but then he found out that that was actually a sound tech who worked for his dad’s band… and he just never corrected geon’s assumptions LOLLLL
anyway! he was always really close to his dad, considering they were a two-person family. he has a set of grandparents, an aunt and a couple cousins but they were never involved with geon’s life because his dad is the #blacksheep of the family. geon and his dad against the world, am i right?
uhhh geon was also kind of a black sheep growing up, but he didn’t really notice? he was a happy kid, very energetic and enthusiastic. a lot of adults in the area looked down on him & his dad, but he was SOOOO blind to it because his dad’s a god in his eyes and HE’S always been nice to everyone, so why would they not like him??? because his clothes smelled a little like dad’s cigarette smoke??? big deal
wasn’t troublesome (beyond talking too much), but a lot of people still expected bad things from him :/ “his father’s a dirtbag, i’ll be surprised if that boy doesn’t end up in jail by 20”, “he won’t amount to anything without a proper role model in his life”, “his dad is teaching him how to slack off”, “he won’t contribute anything to society”, etc. he kindaaa picked up on this as he got older but pretended not to because it was more rewarding to play dumb and keep being a good kid(tm) to prove them wrong
was basically a mini version of his dad. same style, similar features, birthmarks in the same places, same “live today, die tomorrow” approach in life, same affinity for singing & playing rock music. ummm he loved his dad a lot. a lot. a lot. wanted to make him proud SO BAD, started his first band when he was 15 and they sucked so bad but his dad was their biggest fan… you know how it is. a lot of people misunderstood him, but he was a very good guy and such a great parent
TW DEATH unfortunately he passed away just shy of geon’s 18th birthday and your boy still hasn’t forgiven the world for taking his dad when he was in the middle of his angsty teen phase — had he known that their time together was dwindling, he would’ve been so so so much better to him END TW
his dad’s band actually rocketed into the charts after he passed & suddenly they were getting loads of publicity, lots of “what a shame that he went under-appreciated” which pissed geon off SOOOO bad because why couldn’t they have had that energy when he was still alive? he’s still mad about it five/six years later
this is getting kinda long, so uhhh tl;dr, he ended up staying with the drummer of his dad’s band until he was old enough to live alone/READY to live alone, but he changed quite a bit. was really going through it, quit his band, stopped putting effort into school. barely graduated. went from being a social butterfly spending every weekend at a gig or with friends to spending all of his time on a pc or in front of a tv, playing console games. the internet comforted him when nobody else would/could and then he met the future members of meta <33333333 #newbeginnings
present day geon is still struggling, has to go to counseling bi-weekly but he’s coming back out of his shell! he wants to fall in love with life again, just wants to tread carefully... outgoing & will talk to absolutely anyone, but he still spends most of his time alone. hard to reach by text, so if you wanna talk to him, you better call/facetime LMAO. talks a mile a minute, especially if you get him going abt something he really likes. laughs a lot, smiles a lot, more habitual than actual signs of happiness but yk. ummm he has a really loud voice, mostly controlled nowadays but he still gets carried away sometimes. an absolute menace during long drives/flights, sorry meta.
funny but only when he’s in large groups. feeds off of other peoples’ energy, really good at reading a room and breaking the ice/making everyone comfortable, but if you meet him 1-on-1, none of his jokes land quite the same.
i envision him as being the kind of guy who carries himself in such a way that you’d assume he’s really popular/out of reach/maybe even full of himself, but he’s... not like that... at all... in fact, he’s kinda irritating when you get to know him. the personification of a flood followed by a drought and vice versa, always either too much or not enough. gets used/ghosted/dropped/dumped/whatever a lot because he’s soooo fun in the moment (if he isn’t in his feelings), but draining long-term.
really emotionally intelligent, in touch with his feelings in a way that a lot of people never thought he would be (probably thanks to counseling tbh). he’s very very rarely the type of person who will make you wonder what your place in his life is — he’s communicative, kind, honest. ummm he thinks that intimacy between friends needs to be more common, so he’s really affectionate with the people in his life. type of guy to tell you he loves you every chance he gets (calling you when he’s drunk, sounding like a clingy ex type beat) & greet you/depart with a hug. losing his dad kinda fucked him up in the way that he won’t leave/hang up until his friends say “i love you” back, gets kinda (re: very) upset if he’s denied that and/or a hug.
TRIVIA.
has been playing the guitar “longer than he’s been walking” (not really, but he swears it’s true).
uhhh he really likes nail art, but he’s kinda hesitant in what he tries? mainly sticks to black polish (or other plain colors), but sometimes he’ll get little designs added in as well. mainly does it himself because he still doesn’t feel comfortable in salons... if his work looks bad, leave him alone <3 he’s trying
inspired by people like kurt cobain, nicky wire, yungblud, billie joe armstrong & damiano david in the fact that he’s not against wearing dresses or skirts on stage. doesn’t do it ALL the time, but often enough that it doesn’t go unnoticed. some people say that he does it for attention because he doesn’t dress like that elsewhere and tbh they’re probably kinda right
interested in history (only SOME... dinosaurs, ancient civilizations, specialized areas like the history of circuses/clowns/skateboarding/punk, stuff like that yk), stand-up comedy & documentaries. could spend a whole day watching documentaries and would say he had fun, has a lot of useless knowledge that nobody gives a fuck about and is kinda dumb when it comes to things that matter
when it comes to music, he prefers playing really fast and heavy rock or punk over anything else, but he actually listens to a lot more soft indie on his own time... he’s too tense these days to be listening to anything else RIPPP
the vibe: homemade tie-dye, ripped slipknot t-shirts, frosted tips, neon crocs with alien & peace-sign charms, chipped black nail polish, calloused hands, cheesy pick-up lines used NOT to land a date but to pull a smile, driving until he’s lost, stupid socks paired with pressed suits, dramatic poetry in an iphone note, etc.
PLOT IDEAS.
people he met through online support groups about coping with grief
uhhh an on & off relationship that’s been going for who-knows-how-long. the reason for this is up for discussion, but i imagine that he hasn’t given up yet because the constant highs and lows are a good source of inspo 🤪 artists must suffer for their art!
opposite side of the coin — someone he’s interested in, but he’s NOT disloyal so it’s a pattern of persistent courting when he’s single vs intense friend-zoning when he’s not and they’re getting tired of trying to figure out what he wants from them
someone else who likes nail art & can convince him that NOBODY cares if he goes to a salon
someone (probably female but doesn’t really matter tbh) who feels like his feminism is entirely performative… maybe they attack him directly for it or maybe they just REALLY don’t like him and they’re super vague about it idk. either way, please tell him that activism is much more than recommending one female artist a year and saying “clothes have no gender 🤪” so he can be praised for the bare minimum (his heart is in the right place but his skull is empty)
someone super introverted who comes out of their shell with geon! uhhh maybe they think that he’s the one doing them a favor, but in reality spending time with them has been doing wonders for his mental health
other people who like to skate. let’s congregate at the local skatepark and scare the middle schoolers away
someone who inspires him musically, for whatever reason. lots of late nights in studios, idly strumming his guitar and writing lyrics that definitely aren’t about how their eyes look in these dim lights… umm maybe he thinks he has a crush on them but really doesn’t and ends up hurting them eventually, maybe he really DOES have a crush but will (probably) never do anything abt it or maybe it’s entirely platonic and he just admires them a ridiculous amount
someone who likes to make music as a hobby, prob won’t publish/release any of it but it’s fun to imagine. spontaneous meetings with geon in the middle of the night, recording songs together and keeping the WORST takes for the laughs. there’s probably a diss-track of them going in on each other floating around somewhere even though geon can’t rap for shit
night owls who keep him company on the phone, even if they can’t be there physically. them talking really quietly vs geon shouting at them while he plays games LMAO
gaming buddies. come over, maybe you can carry geon through his game of the week or you can both fail but have fun while you’re at it… or you can scream while he fends off that hoard of zombies behind you
i’m typing this at the last minute (literally) so i’m gonna stop here, but i will get a proper plots page put up asap with a wider variety of connections!!! but as always, please do let me know if you have any other ideas. i’m always happy to plot and write with you all 🌚

Mun, I'm sending you an appreciation post <3 You make such interesting characters and give them such diverse personalities and your Susie is SO refreshing compared to what people usually make her out to be!!! Thank you for taking the time to draw and add to your blog, it's always nice to see your posts :]
Tumblr media
MUN — AHHH thank you!!!! I say this so much but i'm legitimately so damn ecstatic that people, including you, care about and like how I portray susie!!! It's so sweet of you to directly dedicate an appreciation post to me;;
[ VERY lengthy rambling below :^) ]
MUN — By characters, I'm assuming you mean the OCs under my toyhou.se! If so, shit I'm even more touched that you bothered to look through them!!! (this is all under the assumption that you're referring to them) I put a lot of heart into the backstories/current personalities of the OCs that I have the headspace to develop, I've always been a writer first and artist second so often their stories come to me easier. Depends though!
MUN — I try to diversify my OCs a lot, even my own interpretations of characters! I like making deeply flawed and troubled individuals, but I also enjoy making genuinely happy and compassionate characters! I like to branch out, cos it really represents how multifaceted humanity can be~
MUN — In the likely event that you're actually referring to how I characterize The Legion, The Entity, and a little bit of The Ghostface - however little I actually reveal about my versions of them - the previous sentiments still apply! I like developing their personal stories, and in the case of the Killers I really enjoy taking negative traits and amplifying it and developing it from there, wherever the creative process takes me. Just a few points or a full-on backstory and current story, never know till it happens with me.
MUN — A lot of my characterization of the Killers and any fictional horrid individual is in part inspired by real life people, although of course I do try to maintain a sense of likeability so that even I don't tire of their shitty behaviours...
MUN — Susie's so insufferable because most of the serial killer behaviours I've studied are, quite frankly, more than insufferable. I've seen some snivelling, some victim-blaming, some faux innocence to try their luck. Essentially, I wanted Susie to be a toned-down reflection of that sort of behaviour among people like that.
MUN — Obviously I don't condone this behaviour, but it is dbd we're talking about.
MUN — Honestly, I don't really know what any exact characterizations of Susie exist that are done by others. I follow like...2 other susie blogs? Don't interact with them much i'm shy and i prefer people approach me first or else i'll think i'm annoying them by starting convo + other things. Even then I only know like, 1 susie briefly who i don't even follow, because her creator doesn't have a blog for her. I only know fleeting generalizations from how people depict her in art, not any full-on character deep dives.
MUN — So honestly I can't say I know what exactly makes my Susie stand out. I'm under the assumption she tends to be portrayed as an innocent forced-into-this often, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that! I just like to break out of the mold and have fun by being unconventional about my own interpretations of pre-existing characters. My Susie's an asshole, she knows this, she's permitted to be(by herself and the group), and she constantly thinks she can get away with it.
MUN — Frankly I don't see that behaviour depicted often, and at times I was afraid it would be too much and I wouldn't garner much attention with how she is but... It's better than making her something I'm not interested in exploring. Even if authentic is making her a fucking shithead who shouldn't be coddled and who's a massive twat to everybody(including survivors) and an egotistical brat, it's still what I want to explore! And that's fine! And fun~
MUN — I tend to see the "Susie gets along with everybody in the legion! they're family!" sentiment a lot, very valid. Very good especially if I want something wholesome to break away from the grim monotony and hopelessness of DBD's realm. Though frankly, I only care for Susie. But...
MUN — With my Susie, I wanted her to be insufferable, and her friends just as. I wanted her to be this toxic individual who sabotages and self-victimizes, and while her behaviour isn't caused by The Legion, it's encouraged/permitted/spurred on by their nonchalance/acceptance/equal immaturity.
MUN — It's a dynamic I've never seen portrayed before, so I was extremely hesitant to start this blog. But it really seems like people don't mind, and do want to interact with my interpretation of her! It leaves me pleasantly surprised every time people come to me and tell me they actually like this blog, my Susie, and feel I do it justice.
MUN — The basic rundown of their dynamic is this; Susie despises Julie and Frank(to some degree), and is okay with Joey but feels he can't really get her. So they're not too close. I don't see this relationship depicted in the fandom either, understandably so. The opposite is popular, so predictably - as I've mentioned - I was scared of how she'd be received. But at least people can tell Mun from Muse!
MUN — Overall, I notice you and how involved you are in this blog! Thank you so much!! I really appreciate your effort and you taking the time out of your day to care about me as a person as well as Susie, it seriously means so much to me. <3 And no problem! I love developing Susie slowly and seeing the scenarios she has to react to and adapting her accordingly, it's such a fun deep dive and this blog just helps me develop her more! I love her and drawing her!! <333

#DEARESTDEATHS ― vile divinity is a lonely mountain to linger on.
Tumblr media
This blog is an independent, private & selective multiverse multimuse roleplay blog. 18+. oc- and duplicate-friendly. as written by bubbles. Affiliated with @northsrose.
Currently in my third trimester of pregnancy, therefore extremely sporadic when it comes to activity.
RULES  ✦  SELF PROMOTION  ✦  MUSE LIST
RULES
If you’ve made it this far, you’re either somehow a friend of mine or you stumbled in here by accident. If it’s the former, I’LL NEVER STOP LOVING YOU, BITCH (nongendered), and if it’s the latter, run while you can.
SELECTIVITY.
This blog was made with the intention of being extremely selective. This means that I will ONLY interact with those I am in mutuals with. I have no interest in expanding my group of writing partners and will not be actively looking for any new partners. If this bothers you, click X on the tab!
This being said: if we’ve written before chances are high I’ll follow you ( back ).
I will not be active constantly and I will not prioritize writing here. This blog is made as a hobby and to keep in touch with my friends. If you bother me about this, I’ll jump you.
DASH & INTERACTIONS.
I am a slow writer, I take my time to respond. I will not be pressured in any way, shape or form to prioritize any activity here.
I use small font as well as the occassional italic or bold. I do not use icons. I have little expectation from my writing partners, besides that I prefer they cut posts and do not use excessive spacing in their responses.
My inbox is open to IC memes by mutuals, and OOC-memes by anyone. Do not send me IC memes if we are not mutuals.
NO GOES & TRIGGERS.
If you’re here to preach tumblr bullshit to me, click X on the tab. I do not interact with muns who support: genderbend / rule!63 / genderswapping / cis-swapping, racism, discrimination of any kind, LGBTQAI+-phobia of any kind, nazism, pedophilia, non-con, antisemitism, erasure, and anything along such lines that I might have missed.
This being said, if a topic has prevalence in a universe, such as the topic of incest within the ASOIAF universe or the Potterverse, I fully understand but will not endorse people romanticizing it.
Basic triggers will be tagged. If you need me to tag something specifically, nudge me in DMs. Format: “trigger” tw.
This blog may contain content such as: sexual themes, violence, gore, death, disease. These themes occur IN CHARACTER. The mun does NOT equal the muse.
MUN.
Hi, my name is Bubbles. I am 21+, ethnically and religiously Jewish. She/them. I am Dutch, which means I am not a native English speaker. I don’t give a hoot about tumblr culture. You may know me from a shit ton of other blogs in the past, such as: caediteos, rhyfelwyr, phrphecybound, krysophos, luxfurem, snakereign & more.
CREDIT.
I do not associate with any problematic authors or actors connected to any of the fandoms I write in. I do not condone their behavior and choose to write in these fandoms under the notion that art may be separated from the artist and enjoyed separately, within reason and while remaining aware, vigilant and outspoken about the faults within source material and persons connected.
This being said: all material belongs to the respective authors and creators. PSD-credit will be added asap.

// I just wanted to say that your art is stunning! She’s so pretty.
*Mun Ari: Thank you for your kind words, but Ari’s sprites were made by a very talented artist called  @lavendel081! Although I appreciate you think Ari’s pretty. Ask from this set~
💋 How affectionate are they with their friends? Their family? Their romantic partner(s) (if they have any)? Are they more physical or emotional when it comes to displaying their affection? Why?
*Mun Ari: Think about this: Ari’s love language is physical touch. She shows how much she cares and love someone by giving physical gestures (hugs, petting, kisses, etc). She’s so affectionate that sometimes it causes misunderstandings ^^'.
Ariadna: I’m terrible with words, so I try making people know I care or love them by “touching them” *blushes* D-Don’t misunderstand! I do it ONLY with my loved ones! And I give small inoffensive physical gestures, nothing else!
Ariadna: It is simply something that I do without realizing sometimes. It comes natural to me, something that I do unconsciously. It has gotten me in trouble in the past… and nowadays too ^^'.
Tumblr media
Ariadna: My sister told me about “love languages'' once and after some investigation I found out I do express my love by physical touch. Not everyone knows it and so creates misunderstandings! Kino does knows it and he doesn’t mind it, although he’ll take advantage sometimes *blushes*
Ariadna: Talking about that, Kino only wants me to dedicate my affections with him only. But, again, I can’t help it! I’ll hug my friends or I’ll pet my friends head or shoulders and he’ll get angry and jealous! Sometimes he’ll punish me or call it out loud right there and there. He’s so demanding and possessive sometimes… but once his anger goes down he’ll ask to repeat my actions with him. The warning is there, but is so hard to control…*sigh*
Ariadna: But just for you to know… the gestures I give to my friends or family are different to those I give to Kino. He’ll ask me exactly what he wants and his preference are kisses of course... so embarrassing *blushes harder*
Tumblr media
*Mun Ari: Thank you once again for asking!!
