He’s seen ... the “ Rindou folder . ” At thirty , he can admit it’s embarrassing , but the truth is Rindou has an eerily similar folder , only he isn’t so shameless to name it a ‘ Ran folder. ‘ The name would raise far too many eyebrows , and questions that he rather avoid. Like a decent human being ( funny , considering his profession ) the photos he has of their younger days are under an innocuous name , simply titled with the year range they were taken.
He has pictures of festivals they’ve been to when they ruled the streets , and another when they sealed their futures with matching hanafuda tattoos etched on their throats. There are more personal things too , Ran’s face when Rindou managed to make him his first birthday cake , Ran’s hair after a particularly nice braid , and Ran again posing with the some of the earliest stuff they stole. He probably shouldn’t have kept such an incriminating photo , but it was a mark of pride , the beginning of everything.
Sometimes he worries that Ran is a little too eager to show off their photos , but even in Boten where the people can’t get more deranged , no one is insane enough to sit for the mountains of photos Ran has. It’s a great comfort to know whatever baby photos that’s stored away will remain a secret.
Rindou turns his head so hard , he feels the muscle in his neck pull.
