This is going to make me unpopular but I really do not care for shipping Kipps with Lucy. Kipps is an adult and Lucy is not, there shouldn't even be any question about whether shipping them is appropriate.

I hated, absolutely hated the scene where Kipps appears to ask Lucy out, because in the books Kipps has a strong sense of duty and care towards his agents and while Lucy is not part of his team he would surely see her in a similar way. Not to mention that Kipps works with children in a highly regulated profession, he would be background checked and safeguarding trained to the hilt, and he would not be going round asking out sixteen year old girls.

You can make criticisms about the MCU without saying that everyone who likes marvel unequivocally sucks in some way, and you can talk about what unhealthy engagement looks like without equating every single fan of that thing with a small minority.

You aren't more enlightened or better than them, you're just being a dickhead.
