thinking about how Nina/Maggie and Crowley/Aziraphale were set up to parallel each other and how it was flipped in the end with that confession and fallout
#good omens#good omens spoilers#like its set up soooooooo perfectly and Nina even lays it out for Crowley#the jaded one who feels they cant trust anyone cause they've been hurt (Nina/Crowley)#and the one who's reaching out a hand head over heels in love (Maggie/Aziraphale)#but then you get to the confession/fallout and you realize its not Crowley who isnt ready for this its Aziraphale#and its Aziraphale who's still in a toxic relationship- his being with Heaven#and to an extent here you can draw the parallel between Aziraphale and Lindsey- Nina's ex#in how he wants to bring Crowley back to Heaven and have him restored as an angel#Aziraphale's intentions are far better than Lindsey's of course its not that clear cut#Aziraphale views Crowley's demonic nature as something to be fixed because being a fallen angel being a demon is a punishment#and he wants to see Crowley forgiven he FORGIVES Crowley#he thinks he wants this for Crowley's own good#he doesnt see that he wants it for himself without consideration for how Crowley feels#and this isnt a surprise Aziraphale has always shown some controlling behaviours#changing what he wants to change#he changes the Bentley he changes Crowley's music he constantly pushes for Crowley to show his 'good' side#he's pushy with his ideals (on everyone not just Crowley)#Crowley on the other hand only wants to get Aziraphale out of Heaven's grasp because he sees how toxic it is#he doesnt want to change anything about Aziraphale he just wants to free him#Crowley loves Aziraphale for everything that he is flaws and all#and Aziraphale loves Crowley despite what he perceives as flaws#its the failed proposal from Pride & Prejudice- which I think has to be deliberate#this is a fight they really did need to have and im glad they did#like obviously im devastated but im also very happy with the writing choices

Optimus: Negative friction lubricant. [Transforming] And techincally I'm nuts, bolts, and armour plating. With a few added features.
He fires his grapple, wraping up Nanosec and reeling him in.
Nanosec skating away: I have a few added features of my own.
He skates around Prime to wrap him in the cable in turn. Prime pulls his axe, severing the cable, it falls away from him. Nanotech, unanchored, spins to unwind himself, fluidly grabbing the cable section to wield as a whip, striking three times, the first blocked, the second dodged and the third landing. Optimus winces and sparks.
Scene change to Bumblebee, in car mode, Sari, a human girl, in the drivers seat.
Optimus over comms: Autobots, I need back up.
Sari, to Bumblebee: Ready to try it out?
Bumblebee: Let's motor!
[Sari twists the key in the ignition, and Bumblebee rockets foward impossibly fast across the city]
Bumblebee: You rock!
Sari: No you rock! [They continue this several times]
Back to Nanosec and Prime. Prime lunges at Nanosec and misses, allowing Nanosec to wraps the cable around Prime's legs, tripping him.
Nanosec: I could do this all day, but I've got a schedule to keep.
He rears back to whip the cable again. Action impact shot of Optimus intercepting it with his axe.

me an hour into our mom luda's birthday:
in cc / nosy / dusk / etc, luda's very quick to open her heart to maria and leland ( and whomever else johnny may decide to keep as well ) mostly because its' johnny whose bringing them around.
the hewitt household isn't...in the best shape yknow?
the house? shambles. the remaining family? shambles.
most of them are dead or moved away, charlie's so focused on himself and monty's oblivious half the time. really, the only consistent help she really gets around the property is from thomas, and thats i mean. thats his mama yknow, of course he's gonna do everything and anything she asks of him.
but other than thomas? most of the time, i'd say its mainly johnny or sissy that swing by that way to make sure everythings' fine, to help where needed. and luda adores them both for that. and she appreciates it, deeply.
so when johnny suddenly decided to keep hold of maria, of leland, etc; and he brings them there to be patched up, looked after? she feels like she's repaying him for everything he does to help her out.
and i feel that she very quickly warmed to them both especially because, maria may have been timid and reluctant at first, but there's also just that gentleness in her that when she'd see luda struggle with something while she was kept there, she'd immediately get up to help, regardless of restraints she may have on.
and with leland, in spite of his trying to constantly figure a way out of there ( when he's not...you know........on death's front porch practically- ) he's polite otherwise, and she remembers when she first saw him, and how he was polite then, and part of her almost wishes he had heeded her warning. but, he's there now. and as long as johnny plans to keep him, and maria, tethered? she'll look after them without complaint, for johnny.
like while luda's in the same boat about focusing on the family and their needs and everything, she is also just. very human still, very nurturing and motherly, and she quickly comes to see them both ( and any others ) as part of the family, too.
