I think the show will play around with the codes of the Bully /whipping boy romance genre because we don’t know if grams knows that her grand baby is queer .Is she shocked by the photo ? Is it rich people damage control ?Is she using Sailom like when the teacher puts the bully next to the (traditionally female) class topper so she will “change” him (eeww) ? What we do know is that she wants to save Kang from himself and from his daddy but she will use rich people methods to do so because the show is RICH PEOPLE ARE EVIL. Whatever she wants she will throw money at it and dictate the rules.

But Sailom is angry and male and queer and very very smart so she is looking for a helper she will give Kang an equal, a mentor and since I do think they both already have the hots for each other, a lover.

I usually don't go for alternate universe fics until I have exhausted all the good canon compliant ones and get desperate enough that I need to switch route. However, this was one of the first Bad Buddy fics I read, and despite being AU as well as magical with Hanahaki disease, it's so well written and true to the characters and world of PatPran that it doesn't feel out of place one bit. It's the angst from the end of ep. 4, over and over and over again, and it's the most beautiful thing ever.
