I'm not sure if this concept has been touched upon, but I'm going for it.

Xenomorph-gem hybrid.

I don't know why, but I went through a brief fixation after watching Alien, and then this popped up.

Biologically, it likely wouldn't work for obvious reasons, but that kind of logic never stopped me from fiddling around with ideas.

Xeno here was born to a gem on a recon mission, who was unfortunate enough to come across a facehugger egg.

Despite what she is, she's actually approachable, if a bit suspicious of everything around her. She does like the concept friends, but has no idea how to do so.

She is semi-aware of what she is, but unlike most xenomorphs, she doesn't have a killer instinct and has a more "human" way of thinking, which gave her a brief identity crisis.

Even in Era 3, she struggles with herself, because she's not very gem, nor is she a human.

More info might develop if people like her.

Fun facts:

Her host's gem was actually on her chest, but given how most xenomorphs are born; it ended up embedded in her head.

There are rumors that Tsavorite's consciousness is still in Xeno/Xeno still has Tsavorite's memories.

She does like sweets, but only mild flavored things like fruit or vanilla ice cream.

She can summon a weapon; a katana, but chooses to use her tail and occasionally her twin jaws.

She can only communicate by projecting word-bubbles from her gem.

Since her eyes aren't visible, no one can tell how she's actually feeling.

Feels a small degree of guilt for her host, and often tries to find sources about her.

She can climb and scale walls easily.

Cloths were created from gemstone.

Xeno is fine with any pronouns, but she doesn't like being called an "it" or "thing".

Where did you get the term ’sire’ for father and why do you use it instead of saying ‘father’ or ‘dad’?

So in short term, I use sire because it's the most gender neutral term for "father" when it came to gems.

Other terms were: beget and engender, but those weren't exactly well-known words. And I've seen somewhere that the "father" gem is referred to as a donor, but once again, sire is the most familiar term.

But for my siren headcanon, you'll have to look into my headcanon book for a wider explanation.

Meet Spookinel

I haven’t seen a drider spinel yet so, I’m jumping the opportunity to do something SU for spooky season.

Here’s a lil jumping spider themed spinel, who isn’t really defective, but can’t stretch all her legs and only her arms, neck and torso. She’s very placid and timid, but curious and approachable. She kinda creeps people and gems out with her Spider half, but she mostly hangs out around either Honnel or her Diamond. She can spin webs from her gem, and has a web in a corner somewhere in Black Diamond’s palace. She also makes web hammocks for herself and other gems that down mind her spider half. She also has a habit of eating her way into pumpkins and sleeping in them.

She’s not violent, but she’s armed with a knife given to her by Black Pearl, and she often covers the blade with her venomous saliva. She tries to avoid stabbing and instead slashes.

Her venom itself isn’t lethal in small doses; it causes numbness and paralysis for the most part, but excessive amounts can cause brown recluse bite damage.

I chose her to have a regular kitchen knife because it’s Michael Myer’s and Ghostface’s signature weapon.

She doesn’t speak a lot, but her voice is childish like a standard spinel, but it’s a bit rasped and hushed.

As for who Black Diamond and Black Pearl is; I have my own versions of the two, but I’m still trying to design them without making them look too cliche.

Dear mod what kind of creature is your OC? It looks like a mixture between a tiger, an alien and a demon

Well, she's an alien tigress, dubbed a "Tigeroaria"

It's a species I made up back in about 2019, but since I'm not creative with names the best I was able to come up with is this name.

More about her species is still underway, but here's a small attempt of a species "guide" I scraped together in 2022.

Note- when I first came up with this creation, "Specimeow" was the first name that came to mind, but as of now, it has become an unofficial nickname.

Another note- I'll eventually revamp this.

First question:What fandom would you NOT a fanfic or fanart of?

Second question: What’s your favorite and least favorite Steven Universe AU?

#1: It’s mostly fandoms I either have a really bad experience in or just those who have a plot I can’t get into.

#2: There’s also a version where Pink is also present to raise Steven as herself. I like the idea of her getting a happy ending.

But as for least favorite, I don’t really wanna choose, because most AUs go on hiatus before we can see any solution/character development happen, and it's all concepts I don't really wanna knock on. [But I will say, the idea of Steven being a jerk (a common trait used in most AUs centered around him being raised by diamonds or being corrupted in one-way or another) a hard pill to swallow for me.]

Do you ever get sick of doing Steven Universe fanfics/artwork?

I find making fics and fanart to be fun. I also do it on my own time so I don’t burn out or feel compelled to make any.

Granted, like most fandoms, I tend to pay more attention to something, but I always end up looping back to SU due to all of the other fan works I come across, which in turn gives me a second wind of ideas and concepts to toy with.

Bottomline, even if I patter out, I’ll still probably end up drawing and writing for SU here and there because it’s fun.

Power nap problems

This is likely just me, but power naps just don’t work for me. If anything, I become less alert than I already was. I do set a timer for 20 minutes, but it doesn’t seem to work.
