au thoughts

had this bouncing around in my head for my masquerade drawing ever since I started it but I thought it would be funny if Ian is aiming become some knight in training and currently works at a small shop and everytime he notices a faint sweet scent before he falls asleep. followed by a few items missing. caused by the cheeky witch mickey who is using sleep magic on him so he can leasurely steal some shit. what mickey doesnt know is that ian can literally smell/sense magic (perhaps some sort of aphantasia as well) so even though mickey is stealthing ian can easily track his ass like some kind of a/b/o scent thing lmao.
