thinking about all of the palestinian mothers who have been suffering miscarriages due to malnourishment and lack of access to prenatal care, all of the palestinian mothers that have had to watch their sons be taken to modern day concentration camps, all of the palestinian mothers who’ve seen their kids die as they run for water or an empty promise of a care package, all of the palestinian mothers who have had to throw birthday parties in the middle of rubble to give their kids one normal day in a war, all of the palestinian mothers ALWAYS. but especially today. 🤍

How to help the planet AND save money:
1. Get a reusable water bottle. Plastic, disposable water bottles are god-awful for the environment and so wasteful!
2. Buy from thrift stores instead of new. Most products like cookware, clothing, furniture, etc. can be purchased at a fraction of the price!
3. Don’t stock up on paper towels. Use rags/washcloths instead. Chances are you already have some AND you can make them out of damaged clothing.
4. If you use a Keuring or similar coffee maker, consider investing in a reusable coffee pod. The plastic disposables are so harmful and unnecessary!
5. Instead of buying new books, magazines, and audiobooks, you can get them all for free on the Libby app!

But seriously, why do we still use leaf blowers?
We know that most societies are moving towards solar and wind energy, electric vehicles, and banning single-use plastics in order to make their communities a safer, cleaner place to live. But seriously, why the fuck do most cities, communities, states, still haven’t banned leaf blowers yet?
And arguably more importantly, why does the average person still bother using them?
Leaf blowers have come under scrutiny in recent years due to being noisy little fuckheads that blast noise into neighborhoods for literally all hours of the day and into the early evenings, especially come springtime and through autumn. Seriously, try walking outside your home sometime during May-October and tell me you aren’t hearing the dreaded loud roaring/buzzing sound of some person who isn’t thinking twice as to why they are doing so.
The reason why we use them in the first place is because….we don’t like leaves on the ground (where they fucking belong and help soil). I guess some posh motherfuckers don’t find leaves aesthetically pleasing so every one of them hires the lawn people to clean them once a week.
But my biggest peeve about them is that the pollution only one leaf blower gives off is astronomical.

And for what…for why? Why focus so much on the small things like plastic forks, bags, and straws and not sign or start petitions to ban these loud fuckers?
