He doesnât understand why you arenât afraid of him. Have you seen his face, a rotten blend of burlap and mangled flesh, enough to make any grown man shudder?
After a while he starts to enjoy your attention. Jonathan supposes itâs only natural that such a defenseless thing like you would cling tightly to the first adult capable of providing him protection, starved for attention out on the rowdy Gotham streets.
He wonders how you couldâve maintained your innocence for this long, when exposed to such conditions.
Heâs not the best at reciprocating, cautious of his injuries, but you donât seem to notice his awkward attempts at affection.
Youâre easy to please, frank with your words, and curious to learn, and that places you leagues above a majority of people he has to deal with.
As long as your able to sit quietly while heâs dealing with crucial business, he doesnât mind you being so clingy.
Though he wonders how strongly you would react if he were to abandon youâŚ
Youâre practically the only thing pulling him away from his work. Entertaining your little games is admittedly more enjoyable than being hunched over a desk all day. He always preferred hands-on experiments anyway.

Maybe reader has anger or trust issues and only interacts to certain individuals because most people aren't very affectionate or kinds (platonic if possible please since I'm a sucker for your teen/kid reader fics)

â Nolanverse Jon is a psychiatrist, not a psychologist, but I thought it would be more interesting if I wrote him to have one-on-one sessions with reader. So suspend your disbelief. :P
You learned early on that the only way to survive your situation was to shut down, or fight your way through it.
One of the youngest patients at Arkham, you were infamous among your doctors for being very uncooperative during your sessions
Most of your issues exacerbated by the conditions at the asylum, and inmates who had no trouble walking all over you.
Your therapists (who didnât care much for juvenile delinquents anyway, when villains like the Joker were housed in the opposite wing), were quick to walk out on you when you lashed out, all except one.
Dr. Crane was the only one who stayed in the room with you, even when you were screaming until your throat burned and spent entire sessions curled up on the floor.
Although you glared daggers into him, he met you with an even tone of voice and a self-assured demeanor that couldnât be matched, scribbling away on that notepad of his when you thought there was nothing of importance to note.
Dr. Crane seemed to make all the time in the world for you, always first on the scene when you broke down, and never treated you harshly, no matter how cold you were towards him. No matter how many other doctors looked at you with contempt, as if counseling you was a chore.
Maybe if you were paying attention, you would notice that you ran into him a lot outside of sessions, in which he would prod about your well-being and insist on walking you wherever you needed to go, like an overbearing father.
Not to mention how his actions went far beyond a normal doctor-patient relationship, whether it was holding your shoulder steady to look you sternly in the eye or the tight, awkward squeeze he would give you briefly before parting ways
He seemed to prod you about everything. How you slept, what you ate, who you talked to, what your family is likeâŚ
Come to think of it, you havenât heard from your parents in a very long time, since you started your sessions with Crane. Not that you wanted to hear back from them anyway, when they were the ones who sent you there in the first place.
Miraculously, you were eventually released for âgood behaviorâ, despite your headspace not feeling any clearer, and in none other than Dr. Craneâs care.
Nobody seemed to question it, or give you a second glance as you walked out the doors with him. You were under the impression you were going home, only to be herded into the doctorâs car and driven to some secluded house in the countryside, a good long ways away.
Suffice to say, you never left out of his sight again.

Can I get a scarecrow with a child reader who was so traumatized by the sight of his father's unethical experiments that he became literally a living doll. That is, he is no longer sad, not happy, he has become just like a robot. He does whatever he is told, but there is no more light in his eyes. I will be very grateful if you do with the Tim Sale's version.

Itâs not hard to realize what had happened to you.
You used to have such strong reactions to everything he did, but now even the poke of a needle elicits nothing from you. No more fighting, screaming, thrashing or tears.
Every demand is met with a weak nod, and every dose of toxin makes your bones grow stiffer
Salecrow tries all that he can to startle you, but every attempt doesnât even draw the smallest hints of a smile out of you.
He enjoyed bossing you around, but he grew bored of how emotionless you were. He couldnât control you through fear like he did before, take pleasure in how you trembled and cried and rushed to get things done just to avoid punishment.
And it irked him.
He performs many experiments on you to figure out a way to reverse it. Tries every tool under his belt to breathe humanity back into you. But you wouldnât budge.
Not when he tried to pick apart your thoughts, not when he provided an antidote to his toxin, not when he hugged you for the first time in a long time.
Mind-broken to the fullest extent possible, you were nothing but a soulless shell, unable to feel, unable to fear.
Now, if only he could figure out how to inflict that kind of trauma on the BatmanâŚ
He feels a bit of⌠guilt about it. Especially if he canât find a way to bring you back.
I guess the rest of your days will be spent helping him out with his plans and having tests run on you out of the vain hope that you will come to your senses.

If youâre really as good as they say, then prove it to him!
He puts pressure on you, monitoring your side of town and trying to ensure the Batman will catch you
Heâll hack into your database to send you taunting messages and riddles

If you didnât know he was your father prior, then you surely will now.
Batman becomes less of a problem, now that the two of you are battling it out
And Riddlerâs efforts to take you out of the game lands both of you in Arkham

If you try to reconnect with him, heâll brush you off
He feels the smallest twinge of guilt about leaving you without a father all these years but itâs too late now.

Scarecrow normally is a pain to deal with, but now itâs cranked up to the MAX
Even if you werenât in the best of mind, you could still tell something was⌠off with him.
I mean, you were suddenly reassigned to him, even though you had no troubles with your last therapist
As a matter of fact, youâd never see that doctor again.
Crane always seemed to stare at you for a little too long, sneaking glances when he thought you werenât looking
Smiling to himself whenever you asked about what had happened to your last doctor, or that inmate that went missing after he harassed you in the hallwayâŚ
âYou donât need to worry about such things, Mister.â
As long as you are deemed insane, youâre stuck there with him, so he pulls some strings to make it appear as if you havenât been making progress
He presses you about your fears, your traumas, your regretsâŚ
He likes to watch you squirm.
Somehow he restrains himself from throwing himself at you then and there
The other patients start to avoid you when they realize your Jonathanâs favorite.
Everyone knew that when Crane brought people down to the lab, it was never for a pleasant chat
You received special privileges thanks to him, allowed to wander the asylum during the day and being placed in a nicer cell (closer to his officeâŚ)
He has notebooks upon notebooks filled with info about you, down to the minute detail, as well as everything he would like to do to you if he had you fully to himselfâŚ
Itâs also his way of controlling his urges
If you ever got your hands on them, they would leaved you flustered or mentally scarred, choose your pick
As he abandons his inhibitions he crosses over into unprofessional behavior

When a breakout happens and everyone is whipped into a frenzy, he snatches you away before anyone can realize it
Locking you away in his lab
Even when things return to normal, people will believe you were another missing person of his without any proof to hold him accountable

YANDERE AK SCARECROW CATCHES READER ESCAPING
MALE CHILD READER. PLATONIC HCS.
You couldnât stop yourself from clenching your fists every time you thought about Scarecrow. Every waking moment you had to spend in his lab was starting to drive you crazy. All the screaming, fighting, fear and helplessnessâŚlast time you helped him restrain his victim , you came out of it with deep, ugly scratches on your arms, far worse than previous sessions.
You tried to hide them from Jonathan, god bless anyone who becomes the recipient of his anger, but itâs difficult to keep things from someone whoâs worked with all sorts of people in his career, who knew every tell of yours down to the last uneasy twitch. And tears are hard to hide for a child whoâs fought to keep their emotions down for so long.
Suffice to say, that test subject never left the session with his face intact. That dose of toxin was far greater than youâd ever seen administered; the poor man writhed and clawed like he was trying to dig it out of his very flesh, and nobody seemed to care that you were standing right there to witness it allâŚ
You tossed and turned all night, wishing your memory could be scrubbed with a sponge. Why did you put up with this? Why would a âfatherâ act so callous? Sure, he may feed you, clothe you, soothe you through your nightmares⌠but that all must be a front, for a man who enjoyed to watch people suffer.
All you needed was the perfect distraction. Something that would disrupt his routine enough that you would be the last of his concerns.
Thatâs right. The fear toxin! It would be a real shame if he got a taste of his own medicine.
Scarecrow didnât mind you exploring all that much, it was only natural for a child, and besides, he was hoping you would start to gain genuine interest in his work eventually.
You knew exactly where he kept his pressurized containers of nightmare fuel. They were sitting in the lab with that macabre exam table, sharing a wall with your bedroomâŚ
So you set up a trap, one that would trigger the room to fill up with toxin when Crane went in for his next experimentâŚ
And while that was going on, you would hopefully be halfway across Gotham
Just as you were about to jump down from the window, you felt your body start to tremble, and suddenly the drop seemed much farther belowâŚ
You scrambled back onto your bed, only to be confronted by shadows that ran across your walls and the malicious tentacles of a monster reaching for you from under your bed.
You spent the whole night hiding under the covers, praying for it all to be over, until morning came.
Scarecrow seemed particularly smug the next morning, prodding you about how well you slept.
When you went to check what had gone wrong with your trap, you realized that the containers were purposefully set up so that the toxin would move through the vent connected to your roomâŚ
You never tried anything like that again.
Scarecrow wouldnât be a violent yandere, especially to a child, but he loves to fuck with you.
You always feel like somethingâs wrong, but you can never prove that Scarecrow had something to do with it. You didnât dare ask him about the fear toxin incident. You knew it would only confirm to him that you had tried to gas himâŚ
For the most part Jonathan doesnât punish you for it, only throws your attempts back at you like they were nothing, instilling the fear into you that if you ever tried anything, he is more than capable of hurting you ten times greater.
If you do try to escape again after this, heâll start to grow worried. Why arenât you being receptive to his ideas? Hasnât he been a good father to you? Hasnât he shown you the power fear holds?
Maybe you wouldnât mind having your pillowcase laced with his toxins at night⌠those bedtime monsters sure do keep little boys like you in line, donât they?

â Thank you for all the support and requests youâve given me!
I never thought this writing blog would get anywhere, considering Iâve had blogs before that I abandoned.
As Iâm finishing up my last draft, I wanted to make it known to people who are still waiting on requests that they will be written eventually.
Updates might be slower than before, because Iâm starting school soon and I have to deal with a lot of anxiety, which can impact my writing a lot.
