🌟ABH x Amrezy Highlighter 🌟 This one might be my favorite highlighters of EVER! It’s back in stock for a limited time. This just needs to be permanent. I swear I don’t own anything like it-formula or color. _ When I first saw it, I didn’t think it was for me. I have pale skin that has a pink undertone. Anything leaning more gold usually looks bad on me, personally. There are a few gold-ish highlighters I can wear (maybe a separate post?) but at first glance this didn’t look like one of them. Daaaaammmm was I deadass wrong. In fact I got this by accident and decided to keep it. It sat for two months in my drawer until one day I saw someone use it who was around my skin tone. After that, it was a wrap! 👏👏👏👏 The shade can work on almost everyone, it’s that versatile. It can pull more gold or more champagne depending on your undertone. You can even see from the photos that it shifts tones. My swatches aren’t the best, it’s a shade you just have to see on. _ This is a new formula for @anastasiabeverlyhills and I’m here for it. Baked geleè powders are smooth and they blend like butter. This is a banger. I like to use a precise brush that’s a little dense. It picks up the formula better and allows you to get precise with your placement. Sorry I didn’t include those in the pics. If you’re on the fence, go for it. It’s so unique and I can’t get enough. 🦋The “sick” part of Sick&Pretty🦋 Last night I did something that I rarely do. I touched my neck and chest, where my scar is. Where I found the lumps that made me more afraid than ever. To be honest, avoiding that part of my body didn’t start with the surgery or having “the good cancer.” But years prior. I always saw it as a source of being vulnerable and feeling swollen nodes that would come and go. Reminding me I wasn’t like most people. Then the thyroidectomy happened. And I treated that area like it was toxic, barely putting sunscreen or skincare there. Just looking at it made me feel weaker. _ I’m not ashamed of the scar or my body. I’m proud of it. But the act of touching it makes it very real. I realize I had it good compared to what some people go through. Even my incision site looks great because I had an amazing doctor.So this isn’t a pity post. It’s a “just f’ing face those fears and it’s ok to be vulnerable or weak sometimes” post. A “celebrate small victories” post. It’s also a “bring your skincare, especially your sunscreen, down on your neck and chest because it shows aging” post lol! 🌞 _ I look at the scar everyday and I see a reminder of how strong I am. And how beautiful we all are, particularly because of our battle wounds. It means we are still winning. And fighting. And loving ourselves and others. _ This post probably belongs on a blog (wink, wink😉) and I promise it will be soon. For all my hooded eyed babes, it’s hard to get your makeup to show when your eyes are open!! I’ve worked for years trying to get my lid space to be visible. Using concealer to do a cut crease and going slightly above your natural crease is the best way I’ve found to make your eyes less hooded. And yes, just like everyone else, my eyes are slightly more hundred on one side. You can probably tell by the close-ups what the differences. But that’s OK, you’re technique can fix the differences or you just embrace it like I do. Because we’re all beautiful and unique snowflakes lol!
