well the fact that beatrice made it to finals meant that i got to see a lot of bojack-related content on my dash, which doesn't happen as often as i'd like. but i enjoyed receiving propaganda in general.

and honestly? congrats to beatrice horseman for making it to the finals. bojack horseman is my favorite show of all time, and i’ve rarely seen it make it past round one or two of a tumblr poll.

I didn't want to make it seem like I was mad at you, I just wanted to vent about the Mrs Doofenshmirtz bit, especially since there were moms on her bracket that were worse like Medusa and the Bedlam. I didn't mean to upset you.

It’s a bit odd to me that people are mad about doof’s mom getting so far when she didn’t actually compete against the ones they were rooting for? Like Beatrice knocked all the ones mentioned out.

I think no matter what, a competition like this will dredge up strong feelings from the people voting, myself included, because shitty parents are personal. I think you've done a great job as poll runner to have a space for people to process some of these shitty shitty things, and I hope you won't take any frustration to heart

I'm so tired of the Mrs Doofenshmirtz bit. Like there are moms in this competition who actively ruin their children's lives and straight up try to kill them. Yes she's a bad mom but it sucks to see her get so damn far for a bit when Doofenshmirtz is literally ends up being one of the most well adjusted children in this bracket, ESPECIALLY compared to Bojack or Catra. It's just not funny.

i mean i don't disagree, but since i'm the one running the poll i'm trying not to be dissatisfied with the results, whatever they are. beatrice winning is not ideal bc she's relatively sympathetic, but that's basically her only redeeming quality. her actions are never excused and she fucked up multiple people in ways they'll carry with them for the rest of their lives, not just her son. mrs doofenshmirtz winning is not ideal bc her abuse is comedic in nature, but she also didn't show up to her own son's birth, which to me is a really funny reason to win a shitty mom contest? and yeah, like you said, this shouldn't be about comedy, but out of all the reasons for her to end up winning, the fact that she defies the laws of physics in order to avoid welcoming her son into the world is probably the best reason you could come up with.
