I'm catching up on the wayward children series and man, I just love Sumi so much, she is loud and (at least appears) insensitive and she's annoying and colourful and weird and she's all that so unapologetically.
Just. She's so much. She's a swarm of butterflies (and some of them have knives). She's sunshine so bright it'll burn your eyes and glitter that might be harmless or it might be made of glass shards, she's wise and she's dangerous she's utterly ridiculous, she's pure nonsense and yet half the time she makes more sense than anyone else
She's the BEST

That’s something I did before the ban. There were pages like that even then. Those were probably bots though. Just because. I’m pretty sure that was before TikTok.
The pages now I believe are influxing from TikTok because of the ban scare and they don’t know tumblr etiquette.
1) Reblog posts—gets them more views. You can like them sure, but don’t do JUST that.
2) Reblog art—don’t save it and repost it. That’s bad etiquette.
3) If you do, make sure it’s with permission—AND make sure you credit the original artist, because permission or not, people can [and will] get confused
Add more things please because I’m sure there are more that I missed.
@ people new to tumblr, I am BEGGING you to at least reblog or edit your profile pic or SOMETHING. Because having an empty profile with no tagline or pic is a sure fire way to get blocked and reported as a bot

I can imagine this exchange happening
Emily: Wait, so you’re made of sugar?
Sumi, eating ice cream: Yep, except for my skeleton, that’s sadly the real deal.
Emily: Doesn’t that mean you’re technically committing cannibalism right now?
Sumi:

I've seen a few systems express recently that they're not anti-endos but they don't think it's possible to be endo because it's not possible to not have trauma. They see trauma as something that happens to everyone and often goes unnoticed. Definitely agree with the unnoticed part. I'm glad these systems don't let their opinion make them hateful. But I want to challenge that idea a bit, that everyone is traumatized so all systems are traumagenic.
First off, traumagenic doesn't mean "has lived through trauma". It means "is that way because of trauma". Trauma is the cause. Many endos have trauma and can recognize it and work through it. They just don't think it's why they're a system.
And second, if they really believe any system who's had trauma is traumagenic, I wanna ask them: do they think of singlets the same way? Surely singlets also have trauma so by that logic they should also be traumagenic. Right? What about autism, trans identity, introversion, synesthesia? I can make the same argument with these. If you follow the logic of "everyone is traumatized" + "if you're traumatized you're traumagenic", then you know... you get autism is traumagenic and gender identity is traumagenic. By that logic I can justify brown hair as being traumagenic!
I see so much worry and concerns about systems not identifying as traumagenic or traumatized, yet I don't see that concern for other groups who by that logic are also all traumatized and in denial.
This is exactly my issue with this mentality! I've even seen people claim that being born is traumatic to say that even protogenic systems are also traumagenic. And that's just... that's not how any of this works...
I'll also add that I feel this is bad for actual trauma survivors because it's stretching the definition of trauma to an absurd degree and devalues the very concept of trauma, to the point where it's being forced on people who don't identify as traumatized and have no history of PTSD-like symptoms.
To put this another way...

Lae’zel is, by no doubt, an outdoor girlie but she doesn’t know the area, doesn’t know the customs, doesn’t know how to cook well—by that I mean she probably prefers her food extremely rare—and just… doesn’t know how to “deal with these people.” And by these people I do mean the rest of the party.
At some point I guarantee she disappears for a few days just to get away from them. I can’t think she’d be thrilled with Astarion’s whining. Shadowheart is a bitch in the beginning. Karlach rubs her the wrong way because she’s loud and scares away potential food because she thinks the animals are cute.
I believe Wyll is the ONLY one she gets along with at first because they are both fighters and protectors of their people. The others grow on her because she’s around them too much for them not to grow on her but she also has a mission to uphold.
i feel like we as a fandom sleep on the fact that a majority of bg3 is a bunch of city people and foreigners being thrown into an unfamiliar environment and having to live there/navigate it for like a month LMAO
long treks through rain, wind, heavy sun
biting bugs
baths in freezing cold creek water
boots getting stuck in the mud
someone waking up with a snake in their tent
failed attempts at learning to hunt or locate food and everyone getting hangry
accidentally eating poisonous plants
slipping/tripping/falling over various terrains
walking through spider webs
being sticky and sweaty from the humidity
aching backs and feet
taking a wrong turn and getting lost
scary animal noises in the middle of the night
everyone smelling like mildew, B.O, and dirt (a.k.a ten cans of BOUNCE THAT ASS)
i just feel like there’s some potential here

EDIT: Just so there's no confusion, the first option is meant to be in reference to individuals bonding over *shared* trauma. Wish I could update the phrasing to something like "bonding over trauma" now since there is apparently a medical term of the same name that refers to abusive relationships, but polls are locked once posted...

The weirdest guy I ever met in a church was this boy who referred to “Buzz Aldrin and his husband” going to the moon. I was completely baffled, and when I asked if he’d misspoken, he got really angry and accused me of being deliberately ignorant of the facts. It turned out that he was somehow comvinced that Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong were married. It took five Wikipedia articles to convince him otherwise.
