Today I received my first DSLR camera in the mail.  I didn’t think I’d own one for a while, but sometimes you have to treat yoself.  I thought I could figure everything out just by playing around then decided to find some YouTube tutorials instead.  It was a lot easier to understand these videos with the actual thing in my hands.  I watched Jared Polin’s “Users Guide” video which went over every setting. Going fully manual was something I decided from the start, so it took over 50 shots to actually get something not completely black or blurry.  I can sense some future frustration, but it’s really interesting to change settings for every shot.  I still have Beginner ass skills, but I tried.  Low light doesn’t help, but it’s 1am :)
