hey remember how awhile back i mentioned that tiktok has a whole trend where people mix cleaning supplies well i redownloaded tiktok so im finally able to show you what i mean
STOP! are you operating on an arbitrary set of terms and rules known only to you? have you created an ultimatum or specific if/then scenario for someone else without communicating it to them? have you considered making a decision and calculated all the consequences and potential reactions to those consequences and consequences for those reactions before you actually made the decision? it may be time to say some words out loud to another person!
astounded daily at the number of people online telling self-ID’d autistic people that autism doesn’t exist/is a personal flaw, without realizing that they themselves clearly are also autistic... Like. We Are the Same.
just sayin... people who accept masc/fem roles, regardless of gender or sexuality, are doomed to recreate them and harm someone mentally, including themselves. Roles of any kind are used to perpetuate quiet abuse.
i hope every white person on here who made liking kpop and anime and kdramas and shit like that a part of their online identity is doing something to boost AAPI charities/mutual aid today.
Not diagnosing a child doesn't mean they won't notice they're different. It just means that instead of thinking "I'm struggling because I have autism/adhd/anxiety/depression/schizophrenia", they will just conclude that they are struggling because they are stupid, weak, annoying, unlovable, etc.
Reagan-era "stranger danger" panic has done so much harm to americans' sense of community. It cemented the idea that only the nuclear family could be trusted with the care of the child, deterred people from cooperative living with an extended community, and continues to place abuse victims in danger by perpetuating the misconception that most child abuse is done by strangers rather than someone they know. It is in our best interest to become more interdependent than we were raised to be.
