Nuts and Dolts Confession

This is the (unofficial) nnd confession scene I commissioned from penny's official VA herself, it was getting popular on other places so I thought I'd share it here as well. This was scripted and improvised by Taylor Mcknee herself, so happy she did this for me and as she kept it pretty in character, I'm genuinely so happy,

Tldr, this is probably as true as it can be to what a real nuts and dolts confession scene would look like from the mind of penny's VA herself

It’s kept intentionally vague on purpose to get peoples attention. Giving detail allows for people to be informed without getting their focus, being vague gets people to assume their bias and will look to see if they are right.

I think minor is such an unhelpful word, especially with the groomer panic going on. Like I absolutely hate how someone can say "minors at x event were shown sexual content!" And it mean anything from "a group of six year olds were shown porn" to "a group of sixteen year olds were given pamphlets on safe sex"

So I was thinking about all the butterfly imagery in v9 and how it will likely relate to Ruby, and now after c8, her ascension, and something occurred to me. According to Penny (miss you everyday! NND till I die!), “Ruby is capable of traveling at an extreme velocity from one point to another by breaking herself down to her molecular components, thus negating her mass and then reassembling them at the destination.”

When butterflies go through metamorphosis, the body breaks itself down into imaginal cells (like stem cells) which can become any type of cell. The imaginal cells put themselves back together into a new shape.

And then there is what her semblance looks like:

It’s a chrysalis! CRWBY wasn’t even trying to hide it! Ruby (like a butterfly) was gonna die and be reborn!

I’m starting to think that the people who think Ruby is gonna come back aged up a few years actually have some ground to stand on.

Thinking about this, Penny, like Romeo, thinks Ruby is dead, so she may have accepted dying as her only option easier. Then Ruby, like Juliet, having learned of Penny’s actual death, breaks and begins to lose her will to carry on leading her to drinking the tea.

Somebody comparing Ruby and Penny to Romeo and Juliet will forever hurt me, they’re so Right Person, Not Enough Time

Just had a thought and had to share. Did Ruby know that was her sister and friends watching her drink the tea? Cause I think an argument could be made that she just thought that they were more Neo clones made to torment her. Which is why she drank it so easily while looking them right in the eyes. She thought she was going to continue to be tormented by copies of her team. She wasn’t looking at them to show them she gave up, she was looking at them so that they would be the last things she saw, even if they were an illusion.

Ruby becomes so broken she basically offs herself and everyone is like, “Oh no! What is this gonna do to WBY+J?” Ruby really did have a point when she asked “What about me?”
