josuyasu rambles :3
okuyasu always recommends “getting food” (not really ready to call it a date yet), josuke always asks if okuyasu is willing to pay (he’s not). but they go anyways. josuke doesn’t love paying every time, but at least it’s for okuyasu.
koichi is invited when he isn’t busy with his girlfriend. which probably makes it not a date anymore, but that’s okay because koichi is like an extension of their relationship. just, minus all that romance stuff. not that josuke and okuyasu do a all that romance stuff often anyways.
internally, they all realize they could make it a double date. they’ve never been on a double date, it’s actually never been proposed. because it’s not on the table. okuyasu and josuke are both very happy that koichi is in a relationship (really, they are). but, that relationship (the girl) can stay far away from theirs. (they are terrified of her) (lovingly!)

idk if i’ve mentioned it here but i do believe that sbr has the best fleshed out and most human characters in it. they’re just written so .. correct. johnny feels SO REAL! especially compared to some of the other protagonists in the series. but we didn’t get enough of hot pants. like, seriously. i wish we got to know her better SO BAD. i want to know more about her past, her personality, her beliefs. UGH
… anyways if you want me to do a deep dive on johnny and his character let me know…

something that my friend (who’s reading sbr for the first time) keeps mentioning is that johnny and gyro are soooo petty towards each other. they are often times disagreeing or talking back to each other. (esp in the early chapters) and it’s really funny to me cause… yeah.
they are both victims of the sassy man apocalypse. i do not know why they are like this. how many times are they gonna break up! holy shit.
