SUMMARY: Peter is too amped up to sleep, his mind running at a thousand miles an hour even as his body lies still in his bed. Thoughts of his missing sister, of the other universe's Wanda and her family, of his dad, of his mom and Lorna, of his friends, of Stephen, and pretty, pretty sleeping Stephen all flit across his mind, one after another, like a slideshow carousel, click, click, click, on an endless loop.
'Mom, Lorna, I'm sorry, I couldn't—couldn't do anything to save her...'
I had made a playlist for Moving Pictures back while I was writing the fic and then forgot to post it after I was done - some of them are the songs Peter listens to in the fic, but most are just songs that suit the ~v i b e s~ of certain chapters/scenes.
Fun fact, this playlist is why Peter was wearing a Moody Blues tour shirt in the second fic, ha. It was hard to pass up the opportunity of having him in a shirt that said ‘Long Distance Voyager’ on it when that’s literally what he is in the fic.
Extremely Petty Sidenote: I’m kind of peeved that the versions of Moving in Stereo and All Mixed Up by The Cars on Spotify lack the crossfade transition between the songs. That’s one of the best parts! >:| (It’s supposed to sound like this.)
The tracklist is under the cut, the songs that Peter listens to in the fic are in bold:

Sequel to 'Moving Pictures' and 'Signals'
And as a bonus for this chapter: Peter Maximoff’s Mixtape - November 26, 1991

SUMMARY: “It's your fault that I'm like this,” Erik's daughter growls, tears running down her cheeks. The red magic surrounding her hands turns sharp and jagged, like shards of broken glass. “Do you know what I think, father? That the world would be better if you weren't in it.”

Quicksilver’s rescue scene from X-Men Apocalypse, except instead of ‘Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This)’ by Eurythmics playing, it’s ‘Candy-O’ by The Cars.
I thought that this song would work well for Quicksilver, so I very quickly made this as kind of a proof-of-concept.
