That feeling when you know that this section specifically is going to be the centerpiece of your shawl. I mean like, why deny such beautiful colors their moment to shine? I certainly shan’t commit such a crafty crime!

National Crochet Month, or March, has come and gone, so I wanted to show off what I finished last month.
Meet the Harvest Flow Throw (made using this pattern), The Jolt of Midnight Color Afghan (made using this pattern). And The C2C (Corner to Corner) Sun & Moon Blanket. That last one was designed by me using a bunch of scrap worsted weight yarn.
I’ll get to use one of the cozy blankets soon since it uses lightly worsted weight yarn and we be perfect for those hot nights that’ll be coming to the PWN. The other two are definitely late autumn and winter blankets: for now, they go into my big blanket bucket!

Platonic love isn't an "aro thing". Platonic love's presence doesn't make something aro. While platonic love may be a part of certain people's individual experiences [such as labels that don't distinguish between love types, or people who just care about it a lot], painting it as the one path to making "good rep", as the way to "be" aro, and as the pinnacle of aro experiences is very exclusionary. This might be how you experience being aro, but it's also part of the alloplatonic aro experience. That isn't even mentioning the fact that aros don't hold a monopoly on platonic love, and many alloromos feel just as strongly about it.
Aro culture isn't being alloplatonic. Aplatonic aros have always been here. We deserve recognition, respect, and being included in conversations surrounding how we, as aros, are represented.

Finished! Meet my second baby blanket ever: it’s easily my favorite!
This is for a newborn who entered the world last week: hopefully, this blanket will be with them well beyond their first year!

Starting a project for a soon to be newborn! I’m really excited because I get to be incredibly whimsical when it comes to gifts for babies: this time, I’m going for a nice seafoam green star blanket that might be made again since I kind of want one for myself.

Started a new gift blanket for my boss who’s having a hard time due to loss. She likes purple and a variety of vibrant colors so…vibrant blanket making it is!
Pattern is the 10 Point Star Blanket by Nella’s Cottage. So far, it’s working up really easy!

One day of progress on my new project, which is now becoming Two of Wands Opposits Attract Kerchief in rainbow. Super excited to finish this so I can wear it everywhere and also make so many more!

Decided to finally put these little cuties to work: they’re fifty gram skeins of red heart yarns (just shy of 750m of yarn) and together, they’re going to make me a new winter/spring garment in all shades of the rainbow! Can’t wait to start this project.

Starting the week off with a shawl that I need to focus on in the evenings and a scrap yarn star blanket that I’m making because I
A) Need to use up my 80% Acrylic / 20% Wool yarn and;
B) I finally slept under one of my crochet blankets made of the same material and literally felt like my life was permanently changed because COZY
Already seems like it’ll be a really good week of crafting!

Finally finished this blanket, by which I mean I finally put a very simple granny stitch border on this granny stitch blanket. It’ll be donated, which I think is best. I love blankets but I want someone else to love this one more than I do.
Here’s to it finding a loving new home!

It’s not the best picture but I whipped up this shawl for a friend who’s been through it recently. I’m going to leave it in their desk and hopefully provide them with a much-needed surprise.

Big progress today, largely because it’s a quiet day at the school. I’m really enjoying the color scheme as well: this is going to be a beautiful blanket!
