QOTD: What is your current favourite emoji(s)? . . Answer: right now my favourite is: 🥰 the ones I use the most are: 😅😂💜 but really loving 🥰 right now aha. _______________ These three books have #eatingdisorders in them. I believe all three are about #anorexia . I don't currently have my favourite book I've read that had an ED in it but it's called Paperweight. I used Ed instead of spelling out eating disorders just in case it would bother anyone, yknow? I love reading books with #mentalhealth in. I would be listing loads if I mentioned my favourite books that was about mental health aha. 😅💜 Books here are: #countless by #karengregory, #roomempty by #sarahmussi and #wintergirls by #lauriehalseanderson https://www.instagram.com/p/B084WLDgbMr/?igshid=1dtt8s97fjpsy

QOTD: Do your animals stay still for photos? Answer: I think we've made real progress in making this 12 week old #tortoisesshell #kitten into a book model! We're getting there! She's very interested in what mommy is always up to. She likes to play with all of my bookish items. 😂 It makes doing a book shoot 2x if not 3x longer than before aha. Bless her, she's so cute though! One of our biggest problems is, she's so distracting with her cuteness. 😅 _______________ I read #becauseyoullnevermeetme by #leahthomas possibly two years ago. It was really interesting, sweet and an overall cute read. 🥰 I am yet to read, #nowherenearyou by @fellowhermit but I feel like I already know I'll love it as I really enjoyed the first one. 😊💜 _______________ Tags: . . . #booklover #bookaholic #instareads#bookstagrammers #bookstagramcommunity #booksandcats #bookish #yareads #bookaddict #booklovers#bookworm #booksbooksbooks #catsandbooks #catsofinstagram #furbabies #cutebooks #bookishpost #bookstagram #ilovebooks #bookishlove #bookposts #youngadult #youngadultbooks https://www.instagram.com/p/B06UFfdgEFi/?igshid=1kqeaux940ez1

Review: Are We All Lemmings & Snowflakes? - Holly Bourne
Tumblr media
Holly Bourne often writes honest raw books about subjects with high opinions and emotions behind. Here are some samples: Equal Rights (the true reason behind that subject) & often each YA book I have read of her’s, there is Mental Health involvements. - Yes, health relations in books are often a favorable pick for me.
I believe in the books she writes, they feel so raw and honest, a real portrait towards the subject. The first book I picked up of her’s was, “Am I Normal Yet?” At first I was worried to read this as it had mentioned OCD, & as someone who was diagnosed 10 years ago with severe OCD, I was susceptible to read it.  I was surprised as I read each page, going further into thinking, “Wow, she really gets it, this could have been me I was reading about!” So began my love of her writing.
So let’s begin talking about, “Are We All Lemmings & Snowflakes?”
Olive is a teenager who is suffering from mental health, which she refuses to label, (She does not want to know her diagnosis), she ends up going to a place that offers support, “Camp Reset.” Where she learns many things, without trying to give too much away. Friendship found in the oddest of places, could she really learn to make friends? Learn about herself and the meaning behind her mental health?
Olive starts to wonder, could this world be the problem? From one thought becomes an idea and then an idea forms a question, where questions demand answers. So she starts her journey of finding the answers to these questions.
If I haven’t already made it clear, I believe Holly Bourne’s books are honest & raw, you just believe what she is saying, each character has their own personalities, you learn about them, feel for them, grow along with them and sometimes even feel like they’re your own friends. I don’t know what’s not to love about, “Are We All Lemmings & Snowflakes?”
