This, and I'm pretty sure puphoods/pup gear has been around as long as fursuits? It's all blame shifting at this point imo I feel like people just love to make others look bad because it makes them feel superior, and from what I've seen these are all mainly kids too. They really need to stop and do actual kid stuff once and a while and not try to get into controversy just because the few seconds of fame they get from it.

If someone wants to see only sfw things and not suggestive from time to time, that's fine but do not force that onto other people, it's so dumb!

Antis in the furry fandom are really a big problem right now. As y’all’s eyes on the inside, I just want to kinda fill people in on what’s happening.

Pup hood discourse is running rampant rn, which is ironic considering that furrys are getting pissy about people in kink who are wearing their dog masks (it’s ironic because that’s how the furry community started and fursuits can be considered kink gear). I’ve already made post about my opinions on that though, so I won’t delve too deep lol.

But! On top of all this, zoophile discourse is getting worse. To the point where people are frequently making callouts on people simply for following “zoos”. “Zoos” in this context could be any number of things. 1, someone who draws feral art, nsfw or not. 2, someone who is an actual zoophile, zeta symbol and all. Doesn’t matter if they have abused animals to these people though. Or 3, someone who the other people on just doesn’t like. Usually, it’s petty drama. However, most people on Twitter don’t comb through their following list due to paranoia looking for “bad people”. People are getting called zoophiles left and right for the dumbest reasons, and it’s all for clout tbh. That and virtue signaling, but I digress.

I unfortunately relate to this too much (late diagnosed ADHD, questioning/researching autism but not diagnosing) and although I'm getting therapy I haven't been seeing my original therapist, only the person who manages my medication 😭 I have to start seeing a new therapist due to complications

Sorry for the late response I had to force myself to watch the videos and break them down to put how I feel into words

Sorry if this doesn't make sense, but For me I feel like the head bopping and the odetari songs/trendy songs that were used was only making people see it as just an Oc or character story than a real thing that represents S/A, the bright colors and the happy yet condescending tone of it really made me uncomfortable,

And the certain depictions of angles like for example the on the floor video or the facial expressions on the kiss me video, just gave me the vibe that it was inherently sexual and the characters were Overly sexualized (I'm also extremely hypersexual but soemtimes if there's too much depiction, discussion, jokes or real life correlation I'll just get really sick)

See if it were the idea of "this is just a fictional character(s)" I'd be like "okay that's fair I mean if I don't like it I don't have to watch it" but it's real and given the idea that it's real, it gave me off vibes

But at the same time I felt like I had to watch the video because, this is a video about an experience that I also went through, maybe not the same experience but it just didn't feel right to ignore it and call it bad simply because it makes me uncomfortable because of the themes

If it's used for real life or used to represent real life situations of course I'm going to have a problem with it, you can think however you want but I just don't see what's good about treating a story about S/A like a trend.

Also I'm not trying to dictate the fun of others sorry if that's what you thought I'm getting at, imo people can do what they want in fiction but if it's used for telling about real life harm and disguised as a cute animation meme than I don't believe that it's okay to do. (iirc At least one of the videos I saw were titled as a PSA but it didn't seem like one at all, it just seemed like an OC's backstory.)

As a survivor of Sexual abuse I don't think this is good representation. (Dw I know everyone's story is different I'm just saying there's a better way to talk about stories like this than to make silly animations with trendy songs over it..)

Looking at the videos almost made me throw up (even if it's fictional it's used as real life representation, the thought of it being similar to my trauma made me really sick, sorry if I sound hypocritical as a proshipper). So I Just read this. I don't know how to feel about the proshipper part. I know kittydog was groomed into being one(?) but i don't get what that has to do with pedophilia and abuse (as someone who was also a victim, wasn't by internet though so I probably don't have a say)
