ngl I'm a little bummed the symbiote arc in sm2 didn't lean into the psychological aspect a little further, it would've been a nice exploration of Peter's character where he has to face his "ugly" side i.e. his rage that he keeps swallowing down and hiding behind his quippy wholesome persona. don't get me wrong, the Miles vs Peter boss fight was very emotional and sad, but it felt like they were tip-toeing around Peter's rage that the symbiote unburied and amplified, and then brushed it aside as soon as the suit was off.

In hindsight, it was really interesting (and concerning) to see 1048-Peter pretty much act like a feral animal with the symbiote. It highlights how much repressed anger and frustration this seemingly humble and kind version of him has. Yes, it was the symbiote amplifying his rage, but this man was going completely off the shits I don't think I've ever seen an adaptation where Peter was going this ballistic with the symbiote. Most adaptations still have him act "human" but this Peter was growling, screaming and causing so much damage because he was losing control of his own emotions
