Grandmother’s irises are blooming!
This is an intermediate bearded iris with a plicata pattern, probably bred in the 70’s or 80’s. Wish I could ask her what the label said when she bought them. Might be “Hemstitched” or “Rare Edition” but we’ll never really know for sure.

If you’ve never seen an anthurium inflorescence ready to pop, here’s an anthurium pallidiflorum mother plant literally dropping berries into the floor at my workplace.

My roommates have some green onions / scallions that have gotten a bit overgrown in our backyard and they have these flowers going!
Not sure if I can get seeds out but it would be interesting to try to regrow from seeds.
Oh that would be awesome!! I’m not very experienced at growing from seed myself as I only recently have enough space to even think about doing so, but I’m really looking forward to trying it out. You should give it a go! I bet the flowers will be pretty, too.

Hi! your blog is so fun and you have such a variety of plants. are these plants your own or do you work at a greenhouse? have a lovely day! 😆🌿🪴
Wow I totally missed this somehow! Most of the plants I post are mine, but I do also work at a greenhouse and have an orchid society membership. Posts with pictures of plants that aren’t mine ought to be tagged “not my plant” but occasionally I forget. 😅
