since there's so much discourse on whether the term tulpa is Bad or not, bc we didn't want to get into that when i started creating one (i do Not want to get yelled at abt it fkdhshs) i coined the term "paro", like from parogenic. like, "this is my paro liz, she started existing last december", that sort of thing - @sundry-system
Hi
This is a great idea @sundry-system!
Thank you for sharing it! I'm sure there will be many people who use it.

Thank you for the contribution to the conversation!
It never hurts to hear opinions from other systems and headmates :D
Is there a term for a headmate that changes identities? Specifically for a fictive, but the character they're a fictive of changes according to fixation (either their own or others in the system, we're unsure). They're always "them", not like we have a bunch of fictives roaming around, they're all of them at once... if that makes any sense.
Hello!
Unfortunately we could not find many terms that seemed to fit. We did however find one that may work help you&, fictive-flux.
With fictive-flux, a headmate experiences changes between either introject to non-introject or between sources.
If this term does not fit, then you may find it useful to make your own. Some name suggestions could include sourcefluid or fictivefluid. If you do this and wish to tag us then we will reblog the term coining.
Alternatively you can send an ask or a suggestion and we can post the coining on the blog and either credit an anonymous person/s or a system name / other name that you supply.

New Fictive-related word coining post!
Fictopiria
noun - /ˈfɪktoˌpɪrɪə/
The feeling of missing a fictional place, yearning or being homesick for a place represented in fiction. Used like the words nostalgia and homesickness
"It evoked a sense of fictopiria to read fanfic of my source"
Fictopiric
adjective - /ˈfɪktoˌpɪrɪk/
Relating to fictopiria, something that brings up the feeling of fictopiria. Used like the words nostalgic and homesick.
"I felt fictopiric thinking of my old friends. Seeing pictures of them..."
Both Fictopiria and Fictopiric are designed to best represent Fictionkin or Fictives (and any other form of fictomere) homesickness to their source, which may feel unique compared to the common homesickness, nostalgia, or even hiraeth (welsh).
Based off of the following words
Fiction (English) [ficto-], meaning "invented, as opposed to real; fictional"
Sopiri (Esperanto) [-opiri-], meaning "to long for, yearn for"
Nostalgic or Nostalgia (English) [-ic / -ia], meaning "a bittersweet yearning for the things of the past."
(preferably don't use this word if you fakeclaim systems, but i cant rly stop u, especially if it defines ur feelings best)

Headspace amnesia
This is an official coining post
[Disclaimer: This term has been around for some time but doesn’t seem to have an official definition/coining post. If you are the original coiner of the term headspace amnesia, or you know of a coining post, please contact us]
Definition: Headspace amnesia or innerworld amnesia refers to amnesia between a systems headspace/innerworld and the front
This manifests in system members/headmates/alters who are in front not remembering any activities or conversations that they had while in the system's headspace/innerworld.

Thanks y'all!
I'm certain there will be many people in many systems that will find this useful!
Hey @plural-terms uh coining a term yeah :D
System Role: Memory keeper
A memory keeper is an alter who has access to all the other's memories, and has control over what they are able to remember (including source memories in our experience). This would usually be used to not allow alters to remember their bad memories, whether or not it is exo-memories or intra-memories. We decided to coin this term because one of our alters had this power and was also confused as to what it was. We couldn't find any particular role that really fit this so we decided to make one!

Thanks for @-ing us!
This is going to be very useful to alot of people!
System role: dysphoria protector
I was trying to find a role for someone who fronts in times that are particularly dysphoria-inducing for the host in order to protect them, but there isn't any such (specific) term on pluralpedia--which has, like, a lot of roles listed. So I came up with the term "dysphoria protector." Pretty simple and easy, most people will probably be able to figure out what you're saying if they know what a protector is.
This is an inclusive term. It's meant mostly for systems in which the host is trans, but can probably also be used for any mixed-gender system/plurality/multiplicity. By "inclusive term" I don't mean you have to be inclusive to use it (although if you're a sysmed or smthn please don't follow me or anything), I mean I'm not gonna try to stop *anyone* from using it. It is inclusive of anyone plural in any way, no matter their position in any discourse. It seems ridiculous to me that people try to stop other people from using their terms if they apply.

Reblogging with the correction
Is there a thing where only one of the system members has tics, and makes the body tic whenever they're at front? Is that a thing that's supposed to be able happen?
Hi!
What you’re experiencing may be a symptom-holder system member.
A symptom holder is exactly what it sounds like, an alter or headmate that takes on the symptoms of something. This could range from a neurodivergence to a mental illness of some form. And (from my understanding) could 100% include tics.
As always, you are welcome to create your own terms for this! if you do feel free to submit them to us in some form!
IMPORTANT NOTE: I have been corrected on the supposition that the headmate may be a symptom holder. What may be happening instead could be something similar to psychosomatic symptoms as opposed to a symptom holder of tics, which are a neurological thing.
Thank you to @system-of-parts for this correction.
I would also like to apologise for the spreading of this misinformation.

What are some system roles? I've heard of things like protectors and caretakers and hosts, but I only know about what hosts are.
Hi!
This is a fun question and an excellent excuse to start our planned post with a list of roles! Here we we will give you some that we have most commonly seen.
Protector - protects the system is someway, whether from external harm, traumatic memories or other threats
Prosecutor - a type of protector, they can sometimes exhibit behaviour that is at times aggressive towards external people
Persecutor - similar to a prosecutor, but directed internally ***Please note: persecutors are not evil and deserve the same rights as all other headmates***
Caregiver/Caretaker - these headmates look after others in some form or another, whether by soothing them, taking care of littles, or in some other way
Emotion Holders - these headmates take on the experience of a particular (or multiple) emotions, so that others do not have to
Trauma holders - tend to hold the memory of trauma and/or trauma responses. Often times, the memories are inaccessible to other system members
Guardian - a headmate that protects from internal threats to the system
There are many many more terms to be found, but these are the ones that I personally have found to be the most frequently used. We are planning on doing some more comprehensive posts later however! So keep an eye out!

is there a term for an introject of a queer identity? for example, we have an introject that is the personification of the term trixic.
Hello,
There is indeed a term that may work!
Queeragenic / Queergenic - systems or headmates formed or strongly influenced by being queer or LGBTQA
If this term doesn’t quite fit right, there is the option of creating your own! As always, feel free to go through us or to somehow inform us of your term and we shall help in spreading it!

hello! i wanted to ask what the term for a system with around 200 members would be? and also if that's. valid i guess? i split a lot and not a lot of them leave (which i'm completely okay with!) but i just see most people have a lot fewer alters than i do...
https://pluralpedia.org/w/Poly-Hi,
First I would like to assure you, it is 100% valid to have that many members. There is no number of headmates where the system stops being valid, whether its 2 headmates or 20000. The system is still valid.
As for a term, there are a lot of terms that could fit! However for the interest of conciseness I will cover the main ones, some prefixes and stick links to others in the sources section at the base of the post under the cut.
Polymultiple - having 100+ fully formed members
Polyplural - the umbrella term that includes all forms of systems with 100+ members, ranging from polyfragmented to polymultiple
Polyfragmented - a system with a large amount of fragments (the exact number varies) however from what I can tell this is a closed term that is only avaliable to traumagenic systems
Poly (prefix) - used as a modifier to indicate systems of 100+ members

Ive been trying to research, Is there a term for a alter who is part introject part delusion/da or an introject thats influenced by delusions? If Thank you, love your blog
Hi!
There are actually several terms that may fit! These terms range from specfic to broad, but hopefully one of these is suitable!
Delusauxi - a internal helper or caregiver that partially or completely identifies as an delusion. They can be introjects or just identify with one (or more) of the systems delusions. Often they help to make delusions more bearable
Mythling - a facet in a median system that has experiences and feelings in common with both delusions and introjects
Deligenic - a origin term for those related to a headmates or systems delusions
As always, if none of these terms work, feel free to make up your own! If you do this, feel free to share it with us and we will help spread it around!

Term for being a disordered system but not having any dissociative disorder? We are very much disordered in the aspect that our plurality causes us dissary but we don’t experience any dissociation that’s related to our plurality.
Hello!
From what I am able to see, you could 100% still use the term “disordered system” if you so wished!
Disordered system simply an umbrella term that refers to “all experiences of plurality that cause or strongly affect significant difficulty, distress, impairment, and/or suffering in a person's daily life."  (direct quote from Pluralpedia)
However, if that doesn’t quite suit you, you could always coin your own term for that specifies that you are disordered in an non-dissociative way. If you do this, feel free to let us know and we can help spread your term!
