it character analysis ?? sure why not
okay so i rewatched the scene of it chapter 1 where it shows the losers club after they split up and i’ve got some comments to make.
let’s start off with bev:
why does nobody fucking talk about her playing the keyboard ??? like yes you go girl
now bev pt. 2
idk why but just the resemblance to stan in chapter 2 gets to me and gives me chills ?
okay moving on to bill:
my heart fucking BREAKS for this kid, alright? like his parents don’t care about him and his friends all left him (not to mention his brother aka his bestest friend is dead) and so he obviously feels more alone than ever
okay enough of that sadness, let’s move to stan and richie
it kind of seems like stan and richie were the only ones who stayed in touch, but even here it kinda seems like they weren’t talking much, considering the way richie’s gaze drops when he makes eye contact with stan. nonetheless, don’t come at me and tell me stan and richie didn’t care for each other, okay? because richie was the only loser who cared enough to show up to stans bar mitzvah.
alright heading on to mike now:
mike pretty much became the very thing he didn’t want to. he did not want to be a violent person, but seeing him here, killing a sheep, is kind of like he figured he’d never fit in, so he decided to just do what was expected of him. makes me sad to see him so sad :(
okay now let’s get sad again with my boy ben:
ben is right back where he started: alone in the library. the way he stares at the picture kind of gives off a sense on longing and desire. it breaks my heart to know that he was so happy to have made friends, but then they split up and he was back to being the chubby new kid who no one liked :(((((
the montage didn’t show eddie, but it’s no doubt he’s locked up in his house with is overbearing mother. he was not allowed to call his friends, heck, i don’t think he even knew they split up. to his knowledge, he probably thought they were out spending their summer together without him :((((((((((( my poor son :(((
