Onigiri is back! The character, not the comic. Although I supppose the comic is back as well. Vaguely celebrating Happy holidays! it surprised me that I missed Thanksgiving and Onigiri's 1 year aniversery. This comic is a whole year old. It can…almost walk on its own.

Thanks to all the folks who gave me costume ideas! There is definitely more variety here than there would have been otherwise.

Happy Halloween folks! That could have gone worse.

Question, for the comments! I'm going to ignore the plot here. What Halloween costume do you want to see any of the characters in? Pick anyone, Onigiri, Pepper, Macor, that one kid who wanted to see teeth. Literally anyone. I'm going to try and draw as many as I can catch in the next couple days.

This was so fun to draw. And about time one of these characters finally has a proper name. Pepper. Question… for the comments. What's a time when someone saying your name stopped you in your tracks? I come from a household where someone saying your full name means you know you know you're in trouble.

Sorry this page took so long to come out. It was unreasonably difficult to get this page out for some reason. Uh…Life. I had to remember how art works again. Hopefully the page is better for it. We're back on track though, see ya'll in 2 weeks!

They really should give better instructions to Food about the world. There's a surprising amount of things to catch up on. We are nearing another one of those very clear story moments in my head. I hope you're excited too.

I have absolutely played with my food when I was younger. Sometimes its fun finding the longest process to eat food with. I've written adventures for gummy bears, eaten the chocolate off the sides of a kitkat, eaten a banana with a spoon; A bunch of wild stuff. I can say though that I've never gone so far as to have full conversation with food. Yet. Considering the plot of this comic, that is a definite YET.

Question. For the Comments. If you had a little food monster like Onigiri, what food would you most like to talk to?

I’m biased toward Rice Balls, but I think most soups could bring a fun conversation.

Its just a bunch of poses, he thought. I won't try to make each pose a full illustration, he lied. One of these days I will teach myself to simplify the rendering. On the other hand, I love how these are looking.

OH boy. One of the interesting things to get used to with creating a comic like this is working up to moments that have been in your head for awhile. But look! It's (almost) the title character appearance! I'm so excited for ya'll to see next week.

The chefs bickering in the kitchen does raise the legitimate question of what would you cook if a monster came up to you demanding food? Answers in the form of if you give a mouse a cookie.
