A weird idea for streamer au is that the what if the reader encounters ogrepon and her trainer during their travels?

“What the fuck is that. W- Is that a regional variant?? Wait, it that an extinct pokemon?? Wait-” You are fawning over the odd pokemon you see with it’s trainer, who looks at you, amused.

‘That is Ogerpon! A Paldea pokemon!’ You hear your chat say with Text to Speech. The trainer laughs a bit, amused with your awe.

“How fascinating! Is that a pokemon as well?” They ask, pointing to your phone, which floats as you stream. You blink. “Uh... yes?”

Later you see them again and lose your mind all over again seeing Ogerpon in a different form. You are furiously writing in your pokedex. Ogerpon basks in the positive attention. Later your chat has some people trying to talk to you about it. Some positive, some not so much. You don’t really care about the latter, the sweet pokemon seems nice enough!

how to find literally any post on a blog in seconds (on desktop)

there are so many posts about ~tumblr is so broken, you can’t find any post on your own blog, it’s impossible, bluhrblub~

I am here to tell you otherwise! it is in fact INCREDIBLY easy to find a post on a blog if you’re on desktop/browser and you know what you’re doing:

url.tumblr.com/tagged/croissant will bring up EVERY post on the blog tagged with the specific and exact phrase #croissant. every single post, every single time. in chronological order starting with the most recent post. note: it will not find #croissants or that time you made the typo #croidnssants. for a tag with multiple words, it’s just /tagged/my-croissant and it will show you everything with the exact phrase #my croissant

url.tumblr.com/tagged/croissant/chrono will bring up EVERY post on the blog tagged with the exact phrase #croissant, but it will show them in reverse order with the oldest first

url.tumblr.com/search/croissant isn’t as perfect at finding everything, but it’s generally loads better than the search on mobile. it will find a good array of posts that have the word croissant in them somewhere. could be in the body of the post (op captioned it “look at my croissant”) or in the tags (#man I want a croissant). it won’t necessarily find EVERYTHING like /tagged/ does, but I find it’s still more reliable than search on mobile. you can sometimes even find posts by a specific user by searching their url. also, unlike whatever random assortment tumblr mobile pulls up, it will still show them in a more logically chronological order

url.tumblr.com/day/2020/11/05 will show you every post on the blog from november 5th, 2020, in case you’re taking a break from croissants to look for destiel election memes

url.tumblr.com/archive/ is search paradise. easily go to a particular month and see all posts as thumbnails! search by post type! search by tags but as thumbnails now

url.tumblr.com/archive/filter-by/audio will show you every audio post on your blog (you can also filter by other post types). sometimes a little imperfect if you’re looking for a video when the op embedded the video in a text post instead of posting as a video post, etc

url.tumblr.com/archive/tagged/croissant will show you EVERY post on the blog tagged with the specific and exact phrase #croissant, but it will show you them in the archive thumbnail view divided by months. very useful if you’re looking for a specific picture of a croissant that was reblogged 6 months ago and want to be able to scan for it quickly

url.tumblr.com/archive/filter-by/audio/tagged/croissant will show you every audio post tagged with the specific phrase #croissant (you can also filter by photo or text instead, because I don’t know why you have audio posts tagged croissant)

the tag system on desktop tumblr is GENUINELY amazing for searching within a specific blog!

caveat: this assumes a person HAS a desktop theme (or “custom theme”) enabled. a “custom theme” is url.tumblr.com, as opposed to tumblr.com/url. I’ve heard you have to opt-into the former now, when it used to be the default, so not everyone HAS a custom theme where you can use all those neat url tricks.

if the person doesn’t have a “custom theme” enabled, you’re beholden to the search bar. still, I’ve found the search bar on tumblr.com/url is WAY more reliable than search on mobile. for starters, it tends to bring posts up in a sensible order, instead of dredging up random posts from 2013 before anything else

if you’re on mobile, I’m sorry. godspeed and good luck finding anything. (my one tip is that if you’re able to click ON a tag rather than go through the search bar, you’ll have better luck. if your mutual has recently reblogged a post tagged #croissant, you can click #croissant and it’ll bring up everything tagged #croissant just like /tagged/croissant. but if there’s no readily available tag to click on, you have to rely on the mobile search bar and its weird bizarre whims)

I don’t know if this counts and an ask or if asks can be saved for later because I’m a ghost on tumblr, only liking artwork and stories but I had a cute thought while playing roblox with my friends and I just had to share it.

I remember one of your posts on the self aware games being envious of other games, but what about our real life friend(s). Them seeing the friends vs best friends behavior difference with you.

“Wait, I’ve never heard you make that kind of laughter before.” “You're singing? I rarely, if ever, heard you sing… and you're harmonizing together.” “HEY! WHAT’S WITH THE FLIRTING??? Tho you're all just joking, you’ve never done that to us.”

I don’t know, just a thought and something for writers-block, as I find their jealousy cute 😀.

That is really sweet 🥺 They all grow jealous. They see how close you are to these other people, and the fun you have with them. It makes their hearts ache. It's what they want with you. What they want to have, and they are trapped here in your console or computer :( They want to have fun, silly times with you like that! Though many guess it would be hard to do so, considering these people you are hanging out with have most likely known you for a very long time. Its just something they will have to get used to, since growing that close does take time. Doesn't stop many from being jealous or determined though!

Self aware PLA crew would be confused as fuck with me.

What does "Yeehaw my beets!" mean? Why were you just randomly meowing? Why did you just shout "I DESIRE YOUR WARES!" when you went to the shopkeeper??

The only thing they would understand is The Stare I give whenever I walk up to someone, pull out my strongest pokemon and have them stand as close as possible while I look them dead in the eyes for a solid minute before casually running away like nothing happened.

skdfjskldfj First thing I thought of was the "Potion seller, I am in need of your strongest potions-"

But ohh, the Stare is one of my favorite things to do. I am SO sad they removed that in Scarlet and Violet. It was just fun to walk up and stare at someone as you ordered your pokemon to use hyperbeam or something, obliterating the opposing pokemon in an instant.

Doing this, you certainly have of way of making them all laugh, or grow wary. No wonder you are good at battles if this is what it is like in other times and worlds.

(It isn't, but they don't have to know that)

saw the anon ask about what were to happen if the self-aware pla ancestors left their own documentations of the player and passing it down to their predecessors and it was so cool that i wanted to conjure some what-if scenarios if rowan and cyrus DID end up meeting the player.

rowan is pretty ecstatic to meet you, as you could've imagined. a person with such abilities and trainer capability is a sight that is rare to behold outside of high ranking trainers and whatnot, so it's fair to say he's excited. while he could somewhat understand why kamado believed you to be some devil in disguise back then, you didn't even seem to harbor a singular ill intent within you.

cyrus on the other hand.. yeah, he's something else. when he finally pieces together just what and where you are, his perfect plan is in motion. a person with such abilities and knowledge like no other, and with access to pokemon with earth shattering properties.. his interest is piqued. as the plotline progresses all the way to mt. coronet's top, cyrus gathers dialga and palkia to do his usual bargain. but this time, he has a different goal in mind.

He is going to use you to create his perfect universe for him. And those of compassionate spirit who will try to stop you will cease to exist. While cyrus's ramblings and prophecies are complete lunacy filled with sadness and desperation, you can't help but feel a bit tempted to help him. Who could blame you? If such power could be at your access, would you not utilize it for your own desires? Maybe kamado was right about you.

Oooh Imagine Rowan becomes increadibly protective.

He sees you for the first time, and its when you first become a trainer, and it clicks.

You are younger than the hardened, fierce, 'devil' trainer his ancestor spoke about. In this moment, as you and your friend apologize for using the starter pokemon without permission, he recognizes you.

The two of you are nothing but bright-eyed, bushy tailed trainers, but he sees it. That spark that all strong trainers have. That spark that no doubt would become that fierce, determined, fiery expression that his ancestor was very wary of.

Of course, after meeting you, he immediately realizes the odd talk in his ancestor's journals must have been paranoid nonsense. You are a talented trainer who is very good with pokemon, but to Kamado, it must have been something unheard of. Especially after the horrible things his ancestor endured before creating Jubilife village.

He decides to root for you both, and to support you as much as he can. You'll definitely need it if you are the exact same trainer from the future that was sent to Kamado's era. Rowan couldn't even imagine being in your shoes, especially after reading how cold most the village will treat you.

Cyrus though definitely changes his plans around the idea of meeting you.

Someone who could strong-arm gods after losing everything. A trainer who was strong, yet compassionate. Someone who didn't give up, and saved the world despite facing the end.

If you really were from his time, he wanted you on his side.

Sure, he didn't care much for pesky feelings, but he would be a fool to ignore the power of them after what he had read about you. How you used your bonds with pokemon to defeat gods and catch them, all in an era where that was primarily unheard of if you weren't from the local clans.

All it would take is a bit of fibbing, and he is sure he can sway you to his side. Surely, you'll believe that creating a new universe is the perfect plan, no?

No more suffering, no more hardships. No one would ever have to suffer ever again. And you'd have anything you wanted at your finger tips.

Won't you hear him out?

You should really check out Volo's English voice lines in Masters, because one of them is just him... whimpering.

The... The kind of whimpering where it's probably supposed to be one of pain, but it comes off as sounding like... something else- Volo is just over here whimpering. And there's another one that sounds like he's just straight up moaning, which is not helped AT ALL by his "Have some mercy!" line following immediately after.

So now we know Volo is a switch

His VA knew what he was doing. Take control of him and have him whimpering in moments, suddenly very needy for you, for more of any pleasure you have to offer.

Even if its just pushing him against a wall and kissing him enough to make him breathless, and tugging his collar a little before kissing his cheek and leaving him be-
