I live for how often the shit Anakin says about Obi-Wan EVEN AS VADER are still compliments. He calls Obi-Wan “wise” at LEAST twice that I can think of off the top of my head, for example. Aaaand now I’m cackling because I’m just picturing this getting worse and worse every year until Vader’s just dueling Luke in Return of the Jedi while being like “Obi-Wan taught you well. But then he does everything well. Gods he’s handsome. And smart. And he smells nice. Never did figure out if it was cologne, or his shampoo, or just him. Fantastic credit record. Always paid for dinner. Makes the best pancakes you’ll ever eat. Soft beard. Outstanding standardized test scores. Thighs that can crack a walnut. Strong enough to lift you right over his head. Immaculate personal grooming habits. Charitable! Caring! That voice! Those eyes! That hair! Great kisser, too. Well-endowed. Incredible stamina. Like. Wow. Heh. [long, extremely awkward pause as Vader stares out into space] [shakes his head] Anyways! What was I talking about? Oh right, the great job Obi-Wan did training you. Stars, he’s amazing. Did his ghost mention me at all lately?”
Luke and Sheev are just standing there uncomfortably making eye contact with each other and Luke is finally like “OK, but seriously what’s wrong with him/them?” and Sheev being extremely Done and just saying “…no one knows.”

#this just gave me strong feelings that I would like Lord Vader to keep Obi-Wan has his pet slave#little slave clothes and everything on a pillow at his feet#and Obi-Wan is broken and so at first he doesn’t do anything#people stare at him and Vader hacks off their limbs if they look too long because god he’s made Obi look so irresistible#how couldn’t they look at marvel at his docile pet sex slave Jedi disgraced and still heavenly to look at#reduced to a trophy - all of that power and grace useless now - a possession#the greatest Jedi for the greatest Sith and god how he must be USED - Vader can see their eyes filled with it#filled with what they think he does to Obi-Wan whenever the mood suits him#but the truth is he has never taken a thing from his broken master#perhaps his purpose and his dignity but never from#his body - no that would be a step to far in his world where there seem to never be steps to far#eventually Obi-Wan tries to engage him when they are alone and eventually Vader talks back#monosyllabic at first but force he’s just so LONELY and his slave is a comfort#the comfort was supposed to come from possessing him but slowly he realize the comfort has always just been HIM - the man#the eventually leads to reigniting their training bond - to a wretched fondness - a blurred and horrible need#they each individually try to set boundaries to remind themselves of unforgivable truths but the pull is there - it’s ALWAYS there#Obi-Wan begins to pose at Vader’s feet every day - a lifetime of honeypot missions yanked suddenly to the surface#their own darkness - this obsession blooms heavy and so seeped in blood it’s painful - every single moment is painful#Vader holds up construction on the Death Star because he HAS to look at Obi-WAN’s thighs again - thick & freckled - draped in gossamer blue#he spends afternoons staring and thinking and staring again and dark side help him he cuts down half of his construction team#for daring ONE LOOK at his possession#Obi-Wan knows he’s making a difference for the cause from the inside but the twisted thing is he wasn’t even trying to do that#he doesn’t sit at the feet of the rebel cause#he sits at the feet of one man#and he wants to save that man so badly - he just WANTS#and it’s got to break eventually - it’s got to#no one can hold on for a lifetime#Vader is the cause of more dismemberments and losses of dark siders than all of the rebels x10#he’s falling out of favor so quickly he’s rushing toward goodness somehow but still the deaths and the blood and Obi-Wan#indecent and miraculous and a selfish mastermind on a gilded cushion built for greatness but choosing him
