Short post but all is well
Parkrun - thrived. No pain this week so took advantage of it. Think my official time was 27:53 👏🏽
Did a 10km today as part of my program and felt so consistent and strong.
Can’t believe work is back tomorrow 🥲 I need to change my mindset or I’m going to let it get the better of me. Focus on things in my control. Remember I’m studying and this is all temporary. Bigger things are coming my way 🙏🏽

Friday
Such an awesome day
Hung out with my nephew who is 11 in October, stop. I have seen him so much these holidays and I love it.
Picked him up and we headed to the park for scooter time and football. 🏈
Home for some snacks and time with Uncle Josh and board games and switch which was a riot.
Then off to the ice cream and lolly shop and before we knew it it was time to meet up with my sister after work.
We took the dogs on a light walk at sundown, they did super well. On the mend ❤️‍🩹
We have the fire on, homemade Indian and we are ready for a cosy night in. Life 🩷

Thursday, ANZAC Day 🇦🇺 🇳🇿
Woke and went to dawn service
Came back to bed with my puppies and fav human
Woke up again
Two weetbix and cereal
Then we went into town to meet with friends for a picnic! How cute is this picnic basket I got for our third date in 2010 when I was in charge of organizing the activity 😹 time to put it to use again.
Had a coffee and grazed on some chips, dip, baby cucumbers 🥒, some cheese. Nothing outrageous lots of chasing my friends kids around ❤️
Came home after a few hours and did some uni work
Had mac and cheese
Ate a hot cross bun I had frozen during Easter season
Went for a run:
Mile Repeats with Runna ✅
1km warm up at a conversational pace (no faster than 7:35/km), 60s walking rest
2 reps of:
• 1.6km @ 6:45/km, 120s walking rest
1km cool down at a conversational pace (or slower!)
Crushed it. This is the last week of my recovery plan and then I want to switch to a 5km improvement plan.
Dinner was a beef egg noodle stirfry

Wednesday 🐪
Free day turned out a bit busier than planned!
Gymmed
Did a 3km walk to just loosen up
Got coffee
Two slices of toast w Nuttelex
Chiro appointment
Took my car to get a hand wash
Did some shopping 🛍️ met up with a friend spontaneously for a coffee
Got us lunch and headed home
Lunch was a manoosh 🤤 oregano veggies labneh
Did uni work and chatted with Josh about violence against women and sexual abuse you know just your usual convos lol. We really do love having challenging conversations and learn so much from each other.
Then I did some late grocery shopping before a brow appointment
Dinner will be a basa burger 🐟 with some air fryer potatoes 🥔
Really haven’t had a lot to eat today after a good day of eating yesterday but it all balances out at the end of the week 🤙🏽
Oh and random photo is legit me being a basic jeans and tee gal. New jeans. Size 10 🥹 not from Just Jeans which is where I buy my jeans from. This is from a boutique in town and trust me when I say these usually never fit right on me but this was a nice find.
Oh and also I finally updated my phone and watch after 8 months and my fitness data looks different I’m conflicted

Tuesday
Much higher in fat but eh.
Ariana’s day for surgery. 🩷
Went to the gym. It was cooked. 🥵
Banana protein smoothie
Took both dogs with me to the vet so Ariana could get admitted and Max could have a follow up. He has now been placed in the cone of shame for two days.
Got a coffee and took Max on a light stroll
Came home and had two slices of toast and two weetbix
Lunch was leftover prawn salad
Had warm oats w honey and some Lindt chocolate swirled in
Small popcorn snack
Went and shot some hoops at dusk which was beautiful
Collected my baby girl 🩷 shirt is on so it covers her incisions on her belly. For 12 and a half years old she is a trooper. 🩷
Dinner is barramundi risoni
Josh chose these hello fresh meals, so much seafood 🦞

Happy Monday
Did what I do best to silence any negativity and that’s train hard and eat well 💪🏽
New block at the gym kicked off this morning. Still need some strength but there was also some low aerobic work

Dinner was a prawn slaw salad
Dessert was two scoops of ice cream w two choccies crushed in

Hoping for a good sleep tonight and then Miss Ariana is off for her procedure tomorrow ❤️‍🩹 Max healing well. Please let this be a safe time for bubby girl too 🙏🏽

Having a weird body image morning so took the photo on the right. Body dysmorphia is bloody weird. I don’t do this too often but sometimes I need to see myself like this comparatively as sometimes I can still internally feel like the girl on the left in 2022/2023; drowning and trying to find some air.
I have never worn this bikini in public before and I’m thinking I just might next spring/summer 🙂
I know I’m not as lean as I was at the end of my challenge in December, but I also need to give myself some grace and compassion thanks to my surgery and slower recovery. I’m not too fussed about it really, but sometimes I still have that mental struggle where I can’t picture what I look like or separate it from how I feel.

How good is the return of my endo flare ups? So disappointed this pain is back. It’s so hard. It’s like, do I choose between managing my chronic pain or do I choose whatever fertility I have left? It’s an unfair choice. I don’t post much about it but this is my reality and the reality for so many women with reproductive health issues.
Lay on the ground for about 12 minutes until the pain passed. Literally dusted myself off and finished. Now just feeling wiped out. Have made it to my nephews baseball again. Keen for a coffee and distraction.
Not looking for advice or anything, just getting it off my chest.

Dropped Max for his surgery at 8am. He’s home now!!! I got him at 2:30 🙏🏽 lump sent off to be tested. He has a little shaved bald spot on his head. They said he was absolutely terrified but such a sweetheart. Rescues will always feel abandonment ❤️‍🩹 even though I told him 100 times I was going to be back for him.
Did some shooting after I dropped him
Met my sister and mum for coffee before baseball
Watched my cute lil nephew
Went and got a late lunch at the cafe near the vet
Got Maxxyyyyy
Chilled
Took Ariana on a walk. Hot gals only
Now just sorting out dinner life. Looking forward to parkrun tomorrow and more baseball!

Life lately
Gym, shooting, walking, back to some running, doing some tracking, seeing some friends, working on some uni tasks.
Our beautiful dogs both have procedures. Max on Friday, Ariana on Tuesday. ❤️‍🩹

Here they are having a big snooze. Max has a lump on his head which could be an inflamed gland. Ariana had two tumors - one is quite large and it happened very rapidly. They both still love their walks, haven’t gone off their food and are still very much them so I am hoping these are all positive signs for these issues to be benign.

Saturday 🏃🏽‍♀️ ☀️
Felt a bit off driving to parky today. I have my period and I popped some meds on an empty stomach before I left so I think that didn’t sit well. Had an LCM bar.
Met up with some friends, not at my usual location but my OG. It has gotten sooo busy but that’s ok. Means more people participating!
Runna has me on a three week recovery and I went rogue. I felt it in my legs though oh boy they felt strained around the 3km mark. I made a point to not look at my watch and just run intuitively and I ended up pretty consistent 🤓
Got a coffee on my way home after some chit chat.
Bagel w Nuttelex and honey
Josh and I went out for yum cha. Very delicious. Tried a new place.
Browsed shops and finally got this book. It came up in conversation a lot at uni and I feel ready to read it despite the potential triggers. But I am bigger than those 👊🏾
Got gong cha 🧋 obviously
Now just been reading and hanging out ready to watch the netty yesss yay it’s that time of year. Netty nerd alert
Dinner will be some leftover veggie bake from last night and also a meat loaf we got from the butcher.

Honey I’m home!
Oh what a phenomenal week. So much learning. So many light bulb moments on a personal level. Made new friends and really immersed ourselves in as much as we could. Morning walks, lunch breaks, dinner dates. It’s been such a rewarding week. Learning online can be isolating especially juggling with full time work so to be in this ‘bubble’ for five days where I could truly focus just on my studies was amazing.
After the run on Saturday, I had a light week. Walks, one gym ish session at the hotel, and heading to parkrun tomorrow. Had a week of no tracking and heaps of carbs! I had three compliments that I am such a good eater 😜 but I know if someone said that two years ago or even last year when I wasn’t my physical best I would have felt different about it.
Did a morning and evening walk today. Tried to get into some good food routines.
Weetbix cereal for brekky
Small coffee
Bagel w honey
Chicken tenders (have you see those high protein ones? Yum) and Mac and cheese
Dinner is sous vide steak w a veggie bake and corn 🌽
Perhaps another snack after. Sitting at around 2200

Hey friends
Having a big but rich week. Been close with another girl and generally everyone is super nice and so knowledgeable. Have gone on walks with her each morning and dinners etc. It’s really nice. I just love like minded humans.
I have to do my assessment tomorrow but I am ready and it’s all practice!

A chronological post run post.
Iiiiiii had a hard hard time man. In hindsight, I always knew our race was at 4pm so perhaps doing long runs at 6am was never going to help but I was so optimistic for cool weather in April. Nope 31 degrees. My worst fear. I was on pace and on the game plan up until around 8km which is when the course went from some shade to full sun. Told my running partner to push on without me which I had to say 5 times before he did listen 😛 I hate holding people back. The rest was an absolute slog. I thought about a DNF. I found a second wind around 13km and settled back into consistent trotting. Got through. They told us at the start the course was 20.5 which was a shame as it was advertised as a HM and then I saw a girl who was about a km ahead of me usually (because everyone we snaked past each other we did cute girl high fives) going in an opposite direction and I said don’t we turn left again? And she said nope the course was actually 18km. What the heck. Look my performance was not my best but I would’ve dragged myself another bit. Crossed the line and kept going with some other die hards who were also trying to make up km but I got to 19.8 and called it. The water station people were like oh we have cleared the course how much longer will you be and I was like you know what I’m done.
I’m annoyed because the organizers have a whole calendar of events and yet they were so shambolic. They delayed the start time, changed the course and then cut off a considerable distance for everyone. Also WHO KNOWS why the run was at 4/4:30pm in western Sydney but that’ll do me.
The 10km started an hour after us and then 5km after that so there was people always out on course but for a big event there was seriously maybe 60 people in each. So many DNS because we are legit flooded at the moment so I guess people couldn’t make it. A few people DNF. I saw the 5km fun run and wish I went in that because the first woman was 28:10 🥹 but I know it’s not about that.
My average km was around 7:30 which isn’t too bad considering I did a lot of walk/jog intervals for about 6km all up but Runna had me working at 6:25-6:30 as my goal which I was on but it really did fall away. My running partner did a great job and held around 6:40 which I am so happy for him.
Maybe next time I should do more than an 8 week training block. What am I saying with next time 🤦🏽‍♀️ haha never let me again please!!!! I just want to be a parkrun girly and maybe 10km???
Best of all Josh surprised me at the start line to see me off ❤️❤️❤️
