For Holden

Dear Holden, 

I know you don't know me, but I do. It is fun, isn't it? I know your past, I know what you had passed through to be where you are right now. I know all the pain and misery in your life. All your decisions and thoughts, everything. I know that this could be weird for you to hear it from a stranger that you had never seen before. But trust me, I know what could be the best for you. You need to stop being so arrogant and stop saying things that harm people. Be nicer and more open to everybody. And try to make true and real relationships. No phonies. Just you and real friends. Friends that will be there for you in your good and bad times. The type of friends that will try to help you and support you in every situation. And how my mom would say to me, “change that face, start to smile a little more. Who doesn't like smiles?”. I know what I am talin about, so try to believe in me, and in yourself. Good luck in life.

Symbols (Red Hat)

Hello, today I will complement my previous blogs by talking about the novel Catcher In The Rye. There are many different types and varieties of symbols in the story. These symbols complement many ideas that the author is trying to express in the story. Yeah, it is a miracle that I did understand that. YOU HAVE NO IDEA of how difficult it is to understand this novel. It is a real challenge man. Maybe I'm not as stupid as I thought. That is something really good to hear. Whatever, in this novel there is a very iconic symbol. The red hat. In the novel, Holden uses it every time and goes to every place wearing it. In the story, it represents individuality, an ability that he adapted to be far from phonies and to confront the obstacles of life after having huge childhood traumas. This helps a little bit more to understand the reason why Holden is so in touch with his “dream profession”. As always he had to solve everything on his own because everyone around him claims to be his friend. When we all know they don't.

I was reading chapter 22 when Holden said that if he could have any profession, he would want to be The Catcher In The Rye. The catcher in the rye is about someone who wants and provides the security of the innocence of young people. Of children. Holden would like to have this “profession” because of his horrible and depressive childhood. Holden's wish to be the catcher in the rye is understandable, as he wants to avoid kids suffering the same as him. He wants to maintain the innocence in children, and avoid these phycological and mental disorders in the future.

Hi guys, today I will give you the daily review of the novel Catcher In The Rye. I was reading chapter 22 when Holden said that if he could have any profession, he would want to be The Catcher In The Rye. This is very fun, isn´t it? As it is not a real job. A good job. He wouldn't get much money as a doctor or lawyer to have a good car or a mansion. Whatever, for the ones that don't know. The catcher in the rye is about someone who wants and provides the security of the innocence of young people. Of children. What a bullsh*t, life is hard and they will find out soon or later. The truth of life can't be hidden from people forever. Anyways, Holden would like to have this “profession” because of his horrible and depressive childhood. What a crybaby, life is hard for everyone. No one is safe against the cruelty of life. And pain is mental, you just need to go straight without stepping backward. He is a man, and a man doesn't cry. But well, Holden's wish to be the catcher in the rye is understandable, as he wants to avoid kids suffering the same as him. He wants to maintain the innocence in children, and avoid these phycological and mental disorders in the future. He is similar to a hero. But without a cape.

Cruelty of life

Hi everyone, today I was continuing reading the novel Catcher In The Rye, and I saw that this novel talks about “life are hard but you can't do anything about it, you just have to live it to find out how to soften it”. It shows us the reality and cruelty of life. It shows us the dark side of life hidden by our innocence and ignorance. Which creates a fake beautiful and perfect place for our minds. When the reality is totally different. Because Holden's childhood wasn't a normal childhood. All the innocence and happiness that kids had at that age, was not the case in Holden's childhood. Those qualities that build a kid were not present in Holden. Poor kid :/. Nah, life isn't fair, that's the absolute truth.

Dear J. D. Salinger, 

In class they made us read your novel “Catcher In The Rye''. It is a very complex and boring story for teenegers, as it has complicated topics and themes for young people to understand. Im sorry Salinger, my classmates and me are really stupid. There are topics that are more directed to adults. Also the way the novel is written makes it very complex to understand it at first. Especially if we talk about the stream of consciousness. Sorry again bro, teenegers nowadays are very dumb. Incluidng me ofcourse. Likewise, the protagonist, Holden, has multiple mental health problems and mental disorders, JA he is like me. Nah it is a joke. But the point is that this novel is not made for us. We need 5 teen brains combined to understand the story. Forgive me, my friend.
