1️⃣ - I don't build, but I do re-decorate/make interior changes lots as I see fit! I've been playing with the O'Shaughnessy's for a while before I started posting, so a lot of the lots I use are from gameplay anyways 😌

I use a lot of Plumbob Kingdom's lots and the Ultimate Save file for both gameplay and storytelling!

I recently reached 100 followers on my simblr and I wanted to share a gshade preset with you all! I'm grateful for everyone who reads the O'Shaughnessy Story - there's still much more to come!

As featured in this post. I chose to call this preset "Emelia" because it is quite dreamy and light, and Emelia was a light in the lives of many sims.

As a graphic designer/photographer irl, I wanted to create a preset that was dreamy and colour-corrected a very green game! When I edit my screenshots in Photoshop, all I really do is colour-correct.

A couple house-keeping things:

I would be cautious when using this preset for gameplay because it does make the menu and UI a little hard to read sometimes. This preset is perfect for your screenshots though!

Also, I do use other lighting mods in-game, so this preset may look a little different in your game.

Please don't put this preset behind a paywall or claim it as your own, that's all I really ask!

Since it's almost been 10 years since Emelia's death, Thomas navigated his grief by writing. Read more below the cut 🤍

"Whenever I miss her, I remember the breezy walks we went on from right after we got married until she passed. I go back to the places where the world blurred around us and we were 100% present with each other. We checked in with each other about our marriage, the kids, work and whatever was consuming our minds at the moment. I go back to us being Tom and Emmie, and it feels like home. After I reflect on those moments, I can be present with what's in front of me. Each year since her death, the grief doesn't go away, it just feels different. Year 10, I'm filled with gratitude. These days, I'm grateful to have spent 20 years married to her and to see her impact on the world continue. Where I see it the most is what personality traits our amazing kids got from her. Owen has her tender heart, Kathleen has her work-ethic, Caroline has her ability to make people feel seen, and Elizabeth has her quiet strength. I love our beautiful kids so much and I'm proud of the incredible adults they've become. We miss you, Emmie. I miss you desperately. Thank you for choosing me and giving us an amazing family."
