Happy new year! (it's still January, it counts right?)

I'm doing good-ish, writing, slowly, trying to read Iron Flame and fangirling over Garrick, waiting for hopefully the last surgery on my leg this Thursday - getting the metal rod out, finally. I made the mistake to google if that rod is called something particular in English and Google dutifully explained the freaking rod is inserted INTO the bone marrow??? It's inside the bone??? Not alongside it??? *slightly panicking, cause I assumed it would be a pretty easy surgery with minimal recovery needed* I'm not scared at all, I love having half my body paralyzed while people cut at it... fun, fun fun fun... I have the next chapter all mapped out and a few good chunks of it already finished. But I'm moving characteristically slow :))

I thought I'd give you a classic ask- how would the ROs react to MC asking if they'd love them if they were a worm? Also, I hope this story gets more attention down the line, it deserves it and so do you for writing it. Thanks for sharing!

Solis Would love MC unconditionally. He'd try to get them back to human if that's what they want, but if it was not possible he'd do his best for MC to have the most comfortable worm life while also making sure MC feels included in day to day activities (even if it's just cursing around on his shoulder).

Nox Would keep MC as a pet, while also a bit terrified to ever step on them. He'd have a little habitat set up for them, but honestly... it wouldn't work out romantically 😂😅

Arashi... would not stop until MC is turned back into a human and he'd 100% get revenge on whoever dared to turn them into a worm. He'd be entirely confused by the question and would not understand why MC isn't more worried about spending the rest of their life as a damn worm?! As a human they'd already have a short lifespan, but as a worm... they'd be dead in a few years!

I noticed that the description for how lovely ROs is a kinda vague, so if it isn't spoilery or anything, can you tell us more about them? Who they are what they do, etc etc

Interviewer: Let’s start simple. What is your favourite colour? Solis: Red. Nox: Blue. Arashi: Black.

Interviewer: Ok, I see everyone is very talkative today. We’ll keep it going. Cold weather or warm weather? Solis: It doesn’t really matter to us fae, not in the same way you humans experience the weather. But I suppose I do have a preference for warmer weather and sunny days in general. Nox: *shrugs* Warm, just because people wear less clothes. Arashi: Cold.

Interviewer: Cat or dog person? Solis: Dog. Nox: Cat. Arashi: I’d prefer a falcon, or any kind or bird. But if I had to choose between the two, cat.

Interviewer: And tying to this next question, do you have any pets? Solis: *pales slightly* Nox: *laughs* Touchy subject? Solis: *clearing his throat* No, no pets. Nox: Anymore. Interviewer: Please no fighting. This is only the fourth question. Nox:  Fine. None for me either. Unless you count that one fish that likes to hang around the pools in the dungeon. Arashi: No pets.

Interviewer: Favourite place? Solis: The top of the palace. There’s an alcove you can see most of the island from. Sometimes, when there’s fog, you can almost pretend there’s no dome. Nox: My room. *grinning* I can show it to you after we’re done here. Interviewer: Let’s keep it professional, please. Arashi? Arashi: Hmm. It is not on the island. There’s a mountain top I once visited, hot springs in a vast expanse of rolling snow. It felt like it was at the end of the world, a peaceful place untainted by the outside world. A place just for me. I long to return there one day.

*everyone stares at the man*

Interviewer: Um, ok. That was - Thank you for the answer. What is your favourite Ice cream flavour? Solis: Vanilla. Nox: Chocolate. Arashi: Irish cream brownie flavour. *pause* Nox: Can I change my answer?

Interviewer: No. How do you celebrate your birthday? Solis: Oh this is a fun one. My siblings and I usually do something simple for each of our birthdays. There’s cakes and gifts, and just the four of us spending time together. Nox: Must be nice. Solis: … Um yes… Nox: I don’t do much celebrating. It became pointless after a while in this cursed place. Arashi: Can’t really remember when my birthday is. Hane: *pokes her head in the room* You do. And you cele- Arashi: *death glare* Hane: I’ll excuse myself.

Interviewer: Right, ok. *flips through the notepad* Do you guys have any tattoos? Solis: No for me. Nox: *grins*  Interviewer: Play nice! Nox: You could say I have a few. *pauses* *looks into the camera* If anyone is curious to see them all- Interviewer: Nope, moving on. Arashi, it’s your turn. Arashi: *pauses* Hane: *pokes head* Arashi: *glares* Hane: *closed the door behind her* Interviewer: I’ll mark that as a maybe. Nox: *slaps a hand over Arashi’s shoulder* A man of mystery. I like it.

Interviewer: Ok, next question. What is your… room like? *pinched brige of the nose* I can already see how this one is going to be. Solis: Um, that’s a bit of a weird question. My room is normal? It’s homey and with a few personal items. Some plants, some books… Nox: Mine is dark. Interviewer: *stares at him* Nox: *stares back* *smiles shyly* You’ll have to come and see it for yourself if you want more details. Interviewer: Of course… Arashi: Mine is a simple room. I only need a bed and a few… personal items. Interviewer: Ok, we’ll not dwell on that one. What never fails to make you smile? Solis: My siblings. *cock his head* Though they also make me frown a lot. Nox: *grinning* That cute face of yours. Interviewer: *ignores him* *looks towards Arashi* Arashi: *thinks for a while* *smiles to himself* People falling down the stairs.

Interviewer: What was your first kiss like? Nox: Oh, we’re getting to the good stuff. *rubs hands together* Mine was, hmm, interesting. If you can believe it, it came after we’d already- Interviewer: I should have really set some rules for this interview before we started. Solis: That would have been wise, yes. Interviewer: I just assumed that, you know, some things are obvious. Solis: Common sense is mostly lost on our kind, you should have known this better than anyone. Interviewer: Yes, you’re right. I’ll do better next time. Solis: *smiles* I know you will. Nox: *gagging noises* Solis: Anyway. First kisses are always a bit intense. Mine was tender and unsure, but worth the worry that came before it. Nox: Lame. Interviewer: *eye twitching* What about you Arashi? Arashi: Sloppy. Interviewer: Anything more to add? Arashi: Bloody. Interviewer: Why did I even ask? *sighs* Any prized possessions? Solis: I have a locket that belonged to my mother. It is one of the few things that remain of her. Nox: Nope. Attachments are pointless. Arashi: My katana.

Interviewer: Have you ever lost someone you love? Solis: *goes wide eyed* Nox: *sighs* *brushes hand through his hair* You’re really stirring some shit with this one. Arashi: We have lived long lives. Of course we would have lost people along the way. Nox: *turns to look at him* I’m a bit surprised you of all people would say that. Arashi: *shrugs* I was a child once.

Interviewer: Ok, a cuter question next. You find a genie and are granted 3 wishes. What are those wishes? Solis: I think I speak for all of us when I say the first thing we’d wish is for the dome to be gone. *others nod* Solis: My second wish would be for the fae and humans to get along. And then maybe… For someone to take again the throne of the faeries and lead us towards a better future. Nox: *yawns* I’d wish for, after the dome thing, for endless honeywine and orgies. Solis: I hope you never find a genie. Nox: One can never know what you stumble upon on this island. Arashi: I’d like not to answer this one. Solis: Oh, come on, you’ve been so good at this until now. Nox: Yeah, more cooperative than I thought. Arashi: *ignores them* Interviewer: Please? Arashi: *frowns* I’d wish for peace and bloodshed. *everyone pauses* Solis: Better move on with the questions. Nox: Are there a lot more? It’s getting a little boring?

Interviewer: Right… Ok… Yeah, I’ve got a few more. Are you ticklish? Solis: I… think so? It’s, umm, been a while. Nox: Wouldn't you like to know? *grins* Arashi: No.

Interviewer: You are stranded on an island and can only- Nox: Stranded on an island? Really? Solis: It’s a little funny. Intentional? Interviewer: Umm, yes, totally. So, stranded on an island and you can only have 4 items and one companion, who and what do you bring? Solis: Only one companion? But… hmm, no, I would not want anyone to be stranded there with me.  Nox: Is it a cursed island like this one? Can I wish for a boat? Interviewer: No, you can’t ask for a boat. Only things you can use on the island. Arashi: My sword, my pipe, a tent and rope. And Hane. Nox: *snorts* Yes, I’ll take Hane as well. We’ll be off the island before we get too comfy. Mare: *barges through the door* Just so you know, I am very offended you didn’t pick me. Nox: You want to be stranded on another island? Mare: Well, no. But it’s the principle. I’m your general. Nox: Stranded together, just you and me… Mare: Yeah, ok, the island wouldn’t be large enough for the both of us. Nox: *nods* My thoughts exactly. Mare: *exists* Solis: A tent as well, a fishing rod, a torch… and maybe a book. Nox: A hammock, a pillow, maybe a blanket and a huge jar of honeywine.

Interviewer: Have you ever committed murder? Solis: Define murder? Nox: Oh come on, golden boy. With our lifespan? Let’s not pretend we’re saints, we murdered quite a few individuals. Arashi: More than “a few”. Nox: *nods* A lot more.

Interviewer: What is your greatest fear? Solis: *raises an eyebrow* Are we really going there? Nox: Oh, oh, I can answer for him. He’s terrified of killing someone with his touch. *wiggles hands enthusiastically* Solis: *sighs* And you? You’re so shallow you’re only afraid there will be no more people for you to fuc- Interviewer: Ok, ok, keep it friendly. Arashi: I’m not afraid of anything. Solis. … Nox: … Yeah, no, that checks out. Arashi: *smirks*

Interviewer: What is your favourite thing about the night? Nox: *tries to act nonchalant* Solis: *smiles* Oh, how the tables turned. Nox: What are you on about? Nights were always lovely. Lots of steamy meetings happened after the sun sets. Solis: *still smiling* Were? What about now? Nox: *muttering* You little prick. Now… I particularly enjoy the… moments right before dawn. See, I did it! Not a lie in sight. Solis: Surprising, but apparently true. It’s also something we have in common. Shocking. It’s always the quietest time, after all the parties have died down, right before others wake up. You can almost see the sun rising on the other side of the dome. Nox: If you have a vivid imagination, maybe. Solis: I said “almost”. Arashi: I like the pitch darkness. Perfect cover. Interviewer: Cover for what? Nox: You don’t want to know. Arashi: *smiles*

Interviewer: Ok, moving on. Are you holding grudges against anyone? Solis: No. Nox: No? Really?? Solis: It’s not a grudge! Nox: Could have fooled me… A no for me also. Arashi: Same. All of them are dead.

Interviewer: Not going to ask for clarifications. Do you fear death? Solis: Not really? But I don’t particularly want to die either. Nox: Hmm, I did once. But after so long... No, I don't think most of us here fear death. The prospect of being stuck here as a wraith though? That's a whole different subject, sweetheart. Arashi: Yes, but perhaps not in they way you'd think. One needs to fear death in order to conquer it. Needs to understand it in order to inflict it on others. Death is is my companion and I both fear respect it.

Interviewer: O...K... If you could choose to die, how would you want to go? Solis: Home, surrounded by my family. Nox: In battle. Arashi: In my sleep. Solis: Why was I expecting something bloodier? Especially after the whole "death is my companion" speech. Nox: Same. Like, you’re the most likely to actually die by sword. Arashi: Want to test that? Nox: Bring- Solis: No, he would not! Interviewer: Yes, thank you for your answers, but let’s not kill anyone. *reads next question*

Interviewer: Well, actually… *sighs* Name one person you'd kill for. Solis: Any of my siblings. Though they are quite capable themselves. *ponders for a moment* Actually they are probably more prone to do the killing… Nox: I don’t know. Anyone who’d ask nice enough? *shrugs* If the person deserved it and can pull up a fight. I’m always down for a challenge. Arashi: Myself, I’m no one’s executioner.

Interviewer: Have you ever gotten pleasure from causing pain to anyone? Solis: What is with these questions? Nox: Yes, did you write them yourself? And more importantly, are we almost done?? Interviewer: Irrelevant, just answer. We only have a few more. Solis: No. Nox: Not really. Arashi: Yes. Interviewer: What do you mean “not really”? Nox: *shrugs* There’s a high you get in battle, a rush when you bring your opponent down. But it’s unrelated to the pain caused, more so to do with victory and skill. Interviewer: I see. And Arashi, you answered “Yes”? Arashi: Yes. Nox: Some kinds of pain can be pleasurable. *grins* Oh, can I change my answer?

Interviewer: No, moving on. Name one thing from your past that you regret. Nox: Ok, I’m out. *gets up and leaves* Interviewer: Wait! What? Solis: Really? That was the question that got to him? How would the RO's react if mc sees the RO's being exhausted and tired and mc had an idea of helping them recharge by giving them a rewarding kisses on the forehead,cheeks,ears, and the lips and mc saying that "Good job today you definitely deserve a rewarding kiss" mc would say it in a gentle voice and a soft smile?

This is such a cute ask <3 Thank you! A bit all over the place relationship wise I think. Mostly for Solis, since actual touching will be like… over halfway through the story/ first part.

Solis trembled with every gentle caress, every brush of your lips against his skin. He felt his heart hammering in his chest, breath catching in his throat as you littered his face in kisses. He closes his eyes, relishing in the feeling, his entire body buzzing with a warmth he knows he’ll never get enough of. "Good job today you definitely deserve a rewarding kiss." For a moment he freezes, going limp beneath you, nothing more than putty in your hands, but also scared. What if he does something wrong and you stop? What if he opens his eyes only to see a mocking smile. Words retractacted, meanings twisted. But when your lips find his again he can’t stop his arms from circling around you, pulling your body close to his. “Thank you.” His voice is a mere whisper, face buried in the crook of your shoulder. For now, he’ll take whatever you give, for as long as you’re willing to give it. Nox’s smile widens, enjoying the little show you’re putting on for him, his body already feeling a lot lighter. Hopefully it will lead to a lot more than chaste butterfly kisses. A perfect way to end the long day he’s had. There’s no sign of pity in your eyes, no condescending smile, just the pure adoration he can never get used to. Never thinks he deserves. “Hmm, you’ve also been a good little human, lately. Let me show you my own appreciation.” He deflects, pushing all the more confusing emotions aside. He’ll deal with them later, no need to spoil a good time. And it was always a good time with you.

Arashi sighs as you pepper his face with kisses, eyes closed and a hand lazily caressing your back. It was just what he needed, you in his arms away from the loud world outside of his room. It was always so quiet with you around, so peaceful. "Good job today you definitely deserve a rewarding kiss." His hand stops at your waist, fingers digging in, trapping you from moving away. He pulls back just enough to look you in the eyes, his other hand gently gripping your chin. Would you think the same if you knew exactly what he did today, what he is capable of doing? He traces your lower lip with his thumb, so delicate like the rest of you. Lips that you so carelessly press to his skin just moments ago. Always so carrying, so genuine compared to the vipers always surrounding him. He presses his forehead to yours, in what you may perceive as a comforting gesture. But darker thoughts are running rampant in his mind, his mouth spreading into a wicked smile. You may try to run one day, but he doubts you’d get too far.

I have the layout of the chapter done and all the variations and stuff I want to include. Now to start the actual witting. I'mma try to bring Chapter 2 out before the year ends, but these 2 months are usually kinda hectic for me irl 😵‍💫 I keep saying I'll do a little monthly update or something, but it keeps slipping my mind 😅 But yeah, I'm focusing on Chapter 2 for this IF now ✨

Hmmm not a whole lot going on with them honestly, especially since the dome came up. You can take the bathhouse route in Chapter 1 to... get better acquainted.

Twins are a pretty rare occurrence in the fae world and they were spoiled by their parents and the community as a whole. They are playful and generally don’t take much seriously. They live for reveries and orgies, lol. Before the dome, they rarely went to the human world, but when they did they jumped from one forest party to another. They love to drink and eat and generally indulge in all pleasures life has to offer, even in the gloomy world after the curse. Despite their silly demeanour, more people than not will say they helped them get through the darker days they had to face. They love Solis and Aranea (sister you haven’t met yet) fiercely and both Rosa and Corvus as well, and will do anything to keep any of them safe. They enjoy that people can’t really tell them apart, but also appreciate the people that do. Physically, there is only a slight difference in the shade of green in their eyes. Never been in love and they don’t plan on it, especially after they saw what “love” did to their brother. Rosa and Corvus are the closest they got to anyone who isn’t family and the closest they will allow themselves to get “attached”. Ignis prefers joining Rosa though her gandens while Furens likes spending time listening to Corvus play his flute. Ignis has healing powers, Furens makes things go Boom. Both are 100% mischief. That's kinda all I can think of. Hit me up if there's a specific question you had for them @_@

Physical, it would be a mix of the parents. Genetic roulette, if you will :)) In magic, they would get the base light/dark/wild aspect, but it does not have to be an exact replica of their fae parent's powers. And you can probably argue mostly anything could be categorized as light/dark based on intent and wild is chaotic by nature, so it's honestly endless possibilities :P Magic roulette as well✨ For example they could get light powers, but instead of illusions it could be used as an actual beam of deathly light. Or starlight out healing. Shadows used not as tentacles, but you could see through any shadows anywhere. Your imagination is the limit.

How would the Ro's react if mc were to go to them and have a really blushing face "I-I have a surprise for you..." And then suddenly mc kiss them by the lips and immediately runs away with a red faced...(You can choose if it's crush or in relationship or both)^^ Also another question on which Ro's took you the longest to make?🤔

Solis would be petrified cause MC just burst into flames before him and was swept away by the wind, Thanos snap style. Jk, jk. 

Solis - He’d be too surprised to act on it immediately, but once he’s gathered his thoughts and realises what actually happened, he’d plan something nice for MC, like a romantic picnic, and make his intentions to “court” MC abundantly clear. In a relationship stage, he’d still try to surprise MC with something as well, flowers or some other small gift, before thanking MC for all the love they show him and pepper MC in kisses.

Nox - Oh, sweet MC, you think you’d just be running away after that? So cute, so innocent. In both crush and relationship, MC would not make it very far before being scooped up by shadowy tentacles and pinned to the nearest wall. Early days, and depending on MC’s reaction, he’d just tease them about liking him and give a chaste kiss back (as chaste as it can get with him…). In a relationship, MC might not even get to run away at all, Nox’s hands already wrapping around MC the second they were within reach. Arashi - He’d be beyond confused in a crushing stage. Was it MC’s way of confessing? But why kiss and run?? Did it even happen or was he daydreaming again??? He’d watch MC’s reaction around him carefully and plan on surprising them with a little kiss of his own. In a relationship, he’d find it endearing, if a bit unnecessary to still be so shy around him. But it would make his day brighter and he’d try to do the same for MC.

Which RO took the longest to make… I honestly have no idea 😅What I’m writing now is so far off from the original plan I had for this story. There were 4 RO’s initially (2 M and 2 F), and then I kept adding more till it was like 5 gender selectable ROs and then kind of 2 secret/mystery bonus ROs with slightly different good/evil routes :)))))))) There were also 4 courts, then 2, then 5 and back to 4 :)) 

Nox was probably the easiest since I always knew I wanted a Rhysand/ Azriel type of character - a little dark, a little flirty, a little funny. 

Arashi was pretty straightforward as well, not a lot of tweaks from the initial idea I had for him - stoic and no BS, secretly a murderous teddy bear.

So it’s probably Solis, since he technically didn’t even start out as a RO🙂His sister was supposed to be the Ro - the cruel, heartless lady of the court. He was a healer, a kind fae that was going to act as MCs guide in the beginning of the story, but, um, I liked him too much and here we are now, with him as one of the main surviving ROs.

How long would it take Nox to notice an MC *deliberately* forgetting daily kisses whenever MC wants to be punished?

I imagine it would be pretty fast, like maybe after the first or second time it happened. Out of all the ROs, he can read people the best - a combination of experience and actually enjoying seeing “what makes people tick”.

Hi! How do the ro's act when jealous?

I should start by mentioning that neither gets jealous from “nothing”. They are all very old and can discern quite well between harmless banter and actual flirting. There will never be a miscommunication moment or “OMG it’s not what it seems”. And they also live in a rather wanton society with frequent orgies, lol. The things that will get them really jealous will always be more related to… connecting with someone else better than with them, enjoying spending time with another, laughing and having inside jokes they are not privy to. They might not be as fazed by finding MC on someone’s lap, than they would be by MC whispering and giggling with someone and refusing to share with them.

Solis - The first thing he’ll do is voice his concern, if something is bothering him. The actual jealousy would start only after MC continues to disregard him and keeps showing blatant interest in someone else. Then he gets insecure, once bitten twice shy. Will retreat into himself and if the relationship is in the early stages might even pull away completely from it. His heart cannot take anymore heartache and he will not risk it. If it’s later in the relationship he will get paranoid and look for signs of betrayal in everything MC says and does. Nox - He gets extra possessive, easily. Also gets a little annoyed that he’s put in this position, he’s never been like this before. He’s a “sling MC over his shoulder” type. Always have a hand over MC’s waist or knee, always make sure to leave a visible mark on them. He’ll also be a bit more observant and a lot more affectionate, just to make sure MC doesn't need anything he wasn’t already providing. MC wants to be fucked harder? He can do that! Hot cocoa and cuddles? He can do that too, so don’t you dare go looking for it somewhere else! Arashi - Jealous of who? Where? You’ll never find the body to prove anything.
