The time has come to finally announce the release of my debut solo EP, “rêverie”. 🎻 I cannot wait to share this musical “glimpse into my soul” with you all. It’s been an intense process writing & producing this music and putting all the emotions I can’t put into words into the notes. I’ve been fortunate to collaborate and perform with some of the most amazing musicians in the industry today and learned so much from each and every one of you. Over the last year in between my crazy schedule, I’ve been composing & recording a deeply personal piece for solo violin & looping pedal. Last week I performed part of it featuring textile designer @taacabral_ and movement artist @annmariego & @rina_espiritu at a charity event benefitting #AnnieCannons. One of my favorite #NYFW moments ever: opening @greglauren’s show with a solo performance of Philip Glass’ piece, “Metamorphosis”. Originally written for piano, I arranged this for violin during the madness of fashion week. I found out I booked the job so last minute that I scribbled down my first notes of the arrangement on one of my comp cards during hair & makeup of another show that week. No track, no other performers, just me alone on the runway, LIVE, in front of fashion royalty. The clothes and set were both made out of repurposed military materials and the look was all about roughing it in the desert.
