"He looked like a man who'd fallen twelve stories and clawed his way back to the top.
He looked as beautiful as anyone Jyn had ever known, but she couldn't spare a moment to even shout his name."

Just finished watching The Fall of the House of Usher. It's a great addition of Mike Flanagan collections, although I think it cannot surpass the greatness of Hill House. What I love about this series is, first, of course, the organization of the stories, it is so neat, telling the stories of each children, ended with the big wrap that explain the whole main story. Second, the casts are, as usual, great at performing their characters (I never have a doubt for Carla Gugino, Henry Thomas and Bruce Greenwood. Hill House and Gerald's Games are my favorites among Flanagan's collections). Third, the dialogues are so deep, well known in Flanagan's collections. Although at some point it became boring and hard to follow (especially for non native English speaker like me), but the story line help to make me on edge waiting for the final revelation. So, in the end, its a good series to watch if you like Mike Flanagan ways to tell stories,,^^

they are twin flames, two souls that are always meant to be together. sometimes it takes time, sometimes it takes a parallel universe or something, but the thing about twin flames is that nothing can keep them apart.

On the side note, very happy for Andor and Diego Luna for being nominated for many awards, they deserve it, can't wait for season 2...^^

I love how this series wants to show that Cassian is only a human. Before Andor, there's so many ideas of Cassian younger self, most of it, portrait in ff, as a hardened soldiers who started the fight since he was very young. He has no friends, no life and only a sassy droid to keep everyone at bay. But now, we see that Cassian also experience the phase of 'runaway from everthing', the phase of 'messing around and having fun', the phase of 'hey, i have a cute little droid who wants to play with everyone', and also the phase of 'caring for everyone around me'. The idea of him being raised in a close-knit communities until his 20s, made him a person who understands people, affection, friendship and love, which become a part of his identity. It's hard for Rebel Intelligence to desensitize that. That's why he's capable of defying order in Rogue One. Because NO, Cassian is not a person who always follow order, even after he lost everything. He knows the feeling of losing someone, he knows the feeling of losing hope, and he won't let anyone else (*cough* Jyn) to experience that.

Cassian Andor has lost everything. He lost his sister, his home, his sense of family (his "adoptive" father and mother), his community, and his freedom. He can't go anywhere without being suspected and opressed by the empire or turn into the rebellion. People around him were threatened and tortured to get information about him. He can't use his own name anywhere, making him also lost his identity. His words "kill me or take me in" is the words of people who has lost hope for life and desperate to grasp anything to feel alive. He has nothing to fight for, except the dying wish of his mother (the rebellion), which, just like luthen, will make himself as an effective weapon. Cassian Andor is ready to fight and he will be unstoppable.

“Tell him, none of this is his fault. It was already burning. He’s just the first spark of the fire. Tell him, he knows everything he needs to know and feels everything he needs to feel. And when the day comes, and those two pull together, he will be an unstoppable force for good. Tell him, I love him more than anything he could ever do wrong”
-- Maarva Andor (being proud of her son)
