VegFest Oahu
Being Vegan is HARD! nahhhhh...but for reals. I’m a born again Vegetarian/transitioning Vegan. I went full Vegan for about three months the beginning of this year, after living a mostly Veggie Lifestyle for years. But soon found my lifestyle and cost of living made it hard to fully commit.
I do my best to cook Vegan and eat out as Vegetarian/Vegan as possible, while not punishing myself with guilt. Its day by day, meal by meal. So attending an event like VegFest, was a huge motivation and reminder of why I began my transition. I won't preach about the food industry here. I feel everyone is entitled to their opinion and lifestyle, and all I want to do is do my part based on the research and education I have found for myself. I just wish everyone could be a little more concious of what they consume, buy, and see that how they live does have a impact. Positive or Negative.
Anywhoo, VegFest was inspiring. They made it a point to educate and not preach. To show that Vegans aren't a hippie cult looking to look down on your eating habits, but more of a Culture to Conscious Living, Awareness and Love for all.

Ohana is Love
Today my parents and my calabash, non blood, family celebrated my 28th bday. Two weeks after, but hey its Hawaiian time. Anywhooo, long story long, these people, the only few I consider family on this island, have known me since I was 5. They've seen my at my best. And unfortunately, my worst. When it came time for me to bless the food and give my thanks, I couldn't speak. I just started to cry. I cried because at my worst, I disconnected from them all. I was ashamed of the person I let myself become and felt unworthy of their love. Yet here they all were. The people who have seen me at my best, and felt the wrath of my worst. All here to celebrate not the girl I used to be, but the woman I am now. So as I'm about to speak, I look at them and my parents. All smiling, and patiently waiting. And knowing how much I may have hurt them, all I could do was cry. I cried cuz any feeling of loneliness I had been feeling as of lately dissipated. Because I realized I have everyone I need and love staring right back at me. So in between my tears, I thanked them. Thanked them for being here, thanked them for enduring me on my journey and for simply loving me still. Unconditionally 💚

Oh facebook Memories. awe jeez, its been two years since I completed this Self Portrait. For those who know, know this portrait is a reflection of the toughest time in my life. I was broken from my own wounds, heartbroken from a lonely and lovelost relationship, I was numbing myself to life, and depressed. My daily smiles hid the tears I cried every night, from my friends, family, and even he who slept in the same bed. As much as I cried then the reason behind my tears now are of pure joy. The Beauty of Age & BdayGift
I turned 28 flipping years young yesterday. Some said “uh oh! you’re almost 30!” But I’m stoked of aging. It means I got another year, what some don’t get the opportunity to have. I got to see myself grow. Thru my work, my healing and heart. I got to move into a new apartment. Meet, collaborate and make new friends. I got to fulfill passions. Do more art. Love myself more and set more goals. Not just be alive, but Live. Aging is beautiful and will blossom as it should. I am seeing my early twenties move behind and I would only be so lucky for more, because some don’t get the opportunity to do so. Cheewhoo to another year and lets see how far one can push growth. Happy Living.
GIFT:
This Rose is one of my favorite bday gifts.
I received it last night from a Lovely Doll whom I met only once before at a show.
In the middle of conversation with friends, I was taken back when I saw her walking toward me, with rose in hand and this glow. I didn’t recognize her at first so I couldn’t help but look around and make sure she was smiling and walking toward me. I smiled back and even pointed at myself to make sure, and she nodded while mouthing “Yes,You.”
In a nutshell she has been following my journey ever since our chat at that show and thru her feed she saw I would be at that bar.
Overwhelmed that by that first brief connection, to following my journey without judgement, lead to her doing this act of Love. Well I just couldn’t help it and gave the biggest and longest bear hug. Twice! Cuz It felt damn good. I felt good because I felt that we really understood each others heart.
This rose is a physical reminder to me that Vulnerability and true connection is beautiful. That we shouldn’t be scared of being true, or with the fear of judgement. Cuz in the end we’re all just human. And no matter the time, distance or circumstance…Love is the ultimate connection.
And one of the greatest gifts of all.

Id like to start off my blog from the beginning, or rebirth, of the woman I've left behind and am striving to be. This is the most vulnerable I have ever let myself get, but it is a necessary step for my mission. I want to be an example/mentor on living YOUR best life. For too long I allowed myself the “idea” that I was unworthy of all the abundance this life has to offer. Fuck that. We are worth of all our dreams, lifestyle and love. I want to be an example that self love and love for others can and will get you the life you could only dream of, and that you are always worthy of more. Aloha.
