Aziraphale, having just listened to a song which is 87% made of the word bicycle: Oh look. No gears. Just a perfectly normal velocipede.
Crowley, at the very end of his tether: Bicycle. Can we get on???

So I was thinking about a recurrent theme of the word play/game in the show. I wanted to make a post mentioning some of the instances of its usage. The phrasing and the circumstances are quite interesting sometimes.
First of all, there is God, of course, “playing the ineffable game of Her own design” which provides a basis for the whole story. In the beginning, She’s the main player, giving a metaphorical (or a not-so-metaphorical, in Crowley’s case) push to the first domino of her Game. There’s also Adam and his friends who are playing all the time but I won’t focus on them here because it will be just too much.
The first time Aziraphale and Crowley become socially involved is in Rome. What do we see before Aziraphale hears Crowley’s voice? Right, he’s playing a game of tic-tac-toe which, as @evilasiangenius has already pointed out, requires at least two players. Well, most games do, but this one is particularly not fun while played alone. It just doesn’t make sense. Here’s the exact moment he hears him:
His invitation to get social is accepted and so, it begins.
Next time they meet is in Wessex. Aaaand:
Although Aziraphale doesn’t dare to admit it, he wants to join this “hell of a game”; the seed for it was planted in Rome. Wants it so much that his initial reaction here is quite childish: “We’re NOT having this conversation (they very much are), not another word (RIGHT)!” – you almost expect him to cover his ears saying idonthearyouidonthearyou. After this meeting they stop playing by themselves, the Arrangement happens, and this scene predicts it in such an obvious way that it’s almost ridiculous.
Funny that next time they meet is at one of Shakespeare’s plays. And they’re working together already. “All the world’s a stage, / And all the men and women merely players.” (from As You Like It). The Arrangement has already been established and this is when they start “playing” each other’s roles, or, one could say, “wearing each other’s faces”.

In 2019, I didn’t have a lot of time to draw, but I hope I’ll be able to post more this year.
Let’s start 2020 with Crowley!
