Ppl need to realise that you CAN be sad and upset that Charles didn’t get a podium WITHOUT saying that he was robbed
As a Charles fan yes I am upset by this result because I always want to see him on the podium but yes I know that this finish was the most logical one with the strategies and the different grid position, and I find some peace in the fact that it was already a great performance from Charles even without a podium
As a former communication student, I am a bit mad about the formulation of the radio messages (at least he ones broadcasted) but that’s another story
I cannot keep my mouth shut so here are the three main things I’d like to remind everyone after the Australian GP
1. You can dislike a driver, even hate him, without insulting him or being disrespectful. I swear it’s possible. And it might surprise you but you are totally allowed to wish for a driver to dnf as long as you don’t wish him any harm or a very nasty crash. Let me tell you, I manifest for Verstappen’s engine to fail on every race but I’ll never wish him to get in a bad crash because before being the incredible driver who annoys every non-RB fan he is, he is a human being.
2. Liking one driver more than the other one in your favourite team doesn’t make you a bad fan as long as it doesn’t interfere with the first point up there. Concrete example, I’m a Tifosa but I’m also a Charles Leclerc’s fan, of course I’m happy with the 1-2 today but of course I would have preferred if it was the other way around. Nothing wrong here because I know Carlos did an amazing weekend and deserves his win, it doesn’t mean I cannot be a bit disappointed for my fav.
3. Your opinion during the race can be different that the one you have after the race, and two hours later, and two days later, and so on. Your feelings are evolving with the things you see or even just with the way you rethink what you saw. Another concrete example, when the race finished I was so disappointed because for Charles that I couldn’t enjoy the Ferrari win 100%, it changed a few hours after when I rethought it and saw interviews and celebration and it truly made me happy for Ferrari. And it also took me some time to accept that Charles was just less performant than Carlos this weekend and that it was still a super good result both for him and the team.
The last point makes me want to add that, please, you don’t have to hate on another driver to appreciate your fav’s achievements or justify their misfortunes/less good moments.
I’d probably have so many more things to say because even if I enjoy some drama as much as the next girlie some people just make me want to throw things.
Me at 10 in the morning on a Monday at work : I’m sleepy, I need to feel something, let’s go and check what people are saying about Charles Leclerc on twitter
I kinda have the contrary opinion but with the same argument lol
I’m really sorry for Carlos if that’s really happening. That being said, Lewis is probably not the driver he was a couple of years ago, he is slowly but surely going towards the end of his career, why wouldn’t he use it to back up a talented driver in a team who probably has enough of having tensions about who’s number one? I think it all depends on Lewis’ mindset, like if he wants to get his 8th championship at all costs it’s gonna be a massacre, but if he arrives knowing he will be there to help his teammate getting his first WDC, just like Valtteri was there to help him get his??? It could be beautiful
Call me naive or whatever, I don’t know much about the technical aspect and stuff like that, but I’d like to live it this delusion for a bit longer
I understand that Lewis is great driver and as much as i respect him, why why why why why why why is he going to Ferrari. Sainz should be given a renewal on his contract. I DO NOT WANT TO SEE LEWIS IN THE SCARLET SCUDURIA CAR. He isn’t even a great driver anymore. He needs to act like vettel and retire to give younger drivers a change to prove themselves. I hate this.
This is even funnier when you know that there’s also one army tank (which is said “char”) in the French army named Leclerc so there’s also a Char Leclerc but nobody except French people with little army knowledge knows about it 😂
The difference between Max “I don’t know what formula 1 will be in 10 years but I sure won’t be there” Verstappen and Charles “I’ll be 40 in 14 years so hopefully it’s 14 WDC” Leclerc shows
I say it here and not on the comment section on tiktok in which I actually saw the comment but it makes me laugh so hard when there’s a debate about who’s better between Carlos and Charles, and someone defends Charles saying that he has more points, and then the person who defends Carlos answer something like “it would be good to watch the races and not just the points”, as if Carlos’ fans weren’t the one to bring out the points in every argument two months ago
In a car that everybody calls a tractor and that has so many reliability issues, this guy is still fighting a rocket ship, imagine what he could do if his team gave him a good car
