3. What ideas come from when you were little
uuuuuh gosh, mostly interest based things? Like i doodled horses and dinosaurs when i was small, now revisiting those things is like a little treat because!! I did this years ago too omg :33c
besides that I don't think there's a lot of like,, concrete ideas that stem from my childhood ngl
4. Fav character/subject that's a bitch to draw
Ooo I complained about this somewhere else before but as a combination of character and subject:
Zedaph's horns!! OTL
I imagine him to have 2 sets of horns (like shown in example 2 here) but drawing them is such a huge headache it's actually insane.
I love drawing and doodling Zed, just not his horns.
Wings / feathers on wings are also just,,, ugh. They're so pretty and can add such a nice effect / silhouette / a bunch of things but MAN what even are they.
I can draw them looking wing-y enough to be recognized as wings when given enough time to figure it out, but still a massive headache-
14. Any favorite motifs
Creature features mainly!! :] I love drawing horns, claws, tails, fangs / sharp teeth, pointy ears, abnormal eyes- all of the above. Isn't hard to guess why Tango and Impulse are my top favorites in my own interpretation / AU of hermitcraft as a whole <3

Didn't see a lot of artist ask games, wanted to make a silly one.
(I wrote this while sick out of my mind last year and it's been collecting dust in my drafts, I might as well let it run free)
1. Art programs you have but don't use

I feel like no one's mentioned this yet but Joel seems to be really good at turning himself into not the but of the joke
Like at the start of the neck kisses bit, everyone was just making fun of Joel's slip up and him insisting "I don't kiss people's necks"
But by the end of the stream everyone was groaning when he made the joke and now he's signing books with "neck kisses"
Now with the Etho's obsessed bit, somehow all the hermits are actually making fun of Etho over Joel for being obsessed, even though Joel started this two years ago by wearing Etho's face on his chest

marine biology is so scary because it’s such a small field. i was giving a talk on cetaceans and afterward a woman approached me with her husband and she said, “you did very well. [husband’s name] actually pioneered the research and published the first paper on that. We were very impressed by you.”
Which is such a scientific interpretation/public education win I will cherish forever but also for the rest of my life any time I give a talk I will be haunted by the knowledge that the world’s leading expert who literally discovered/invented the topic might be in the room,
which is like, the opposite of what you’re supposed to do for stage fright. In fact I never used to experience stage fright but now I will.

I turn 30 next month so here’s what I learned in my 20s:
—don’t work for startups, they’re always one ‘innovative idea’ away adding ‘sell your kidneys on the black market’ to your job description.
—keeping a collection of basic OTC medicine on you will save your life one day. I recommend Advil, Imodium, and TUMS.
—those little single-use glasses cleaning wipes are 1000% worth the money
—overly self-depreciating jokes just make people uncomfortable, wean yourself off of them
—you can buy dehydrated mini marshmallows in bulk online and they’re a godsend for hot cocoa
—people don’t care if you have fidget toys on your desk they just want to play with them
—try to go to bed BEFORE the existential ennui kicks in
