Headcanons for Romeo and Fred with a touch starved S/O?
Sooo guess who’s not gone…? :’D I’m so sorry that I’ve been away so long but a lot of things happened that made it difficult to post anything here. With that being said things are still complicated so my posting will really be up in the air - i’ll still be accepting requests but please understand it might take some time to get to all of them ;^; anyways I hope that this turned out okay! it’s definitely good to get back to making these~! ^^
——-
Romeo
It’s pretty much ideal for Romeo – nothing strokes his egoquite like a constant stream of affection (plus he’s totally the clingyaffectionate type himself), although whether or not that affection will be 100%reciprocated really depends on the kind of mood you manage to catch him in. Forthe most part he’s more than happy to let you cling and cuddle up to him asmuch as you please, especially fond of the times where you’re nestled in hislap where he can pepper your face with kisses at his own leisure; althoughexpect him to practically chat your ear off whenever this happens. Also he’llnever admit it but he loves resting his head in your lap you so you can lavishhim in affection, playing and running your hands through his hair because hefinds the gesture surprisingly comforting. Although while he’ll indulge youwith as much affection and contact as you could possibly want there are sometimes where something’s got him in a really sour mood; during these times he’sstill quite cuddly but he’ll kind of end up simply pushing you away for a littlebit – it rarely lasts long but he doesn’t exactly let you know when he’s in oneof these moods so you’ll have to learn his patterns and he’ll soon warm rightback up again.
Fred
Fred on the other hand is hands down one of the best peopleto receive any kind of attention and affection from and he doesn’t mind showering you in as much of it as you want because he enjoys watching you get flustered from the content. He’s got a large and softstature and just being around him alone is comforting enough to start cuddlingup to him right away; Not only this but he’s incredibly patient too (I mean you could essentially climb all over him and he’d be fine with it) and wouldhave no qualms at all whenever you come up to him in a touchy mood; of coursehe might not always be around given that he does have other responsibilitieswhich he needs to take care of from time to time, but whenever he is there healways makes sure to spend as much time with you as he can. He gives ridiculously warm hugs that have you practically melting into his hold the moment his arms envelop around you and it’s impossible not to feel completely protected whenever he hugs you. Overall he’s simple interms of affection, content with just the occasional peck on the cheek andsuch, but if he feels you’re ever upset or you’re in a particularlyaffectionate mood he won’t hesitate to just scoop you up into his arms, findsomewhere nice where the two of you can relax in peace and just spend longamounts of time just enjoying one another’s company while slowly stroking yourback as you rest right by his side.

Do you have a rule page?
Tumblr media
Not at this current time sadly -3- although I’d always planned to make one if it would be easier for everyone? I don’t really have that many rules in regards to the type of things you guys can request and if I did I’d let you guys know - but if it’d be easier to make one I’ll gladly set it up! ^^

Headcanons for Romeo, Xara or Jack taking care of their injured S/O?
Didn’t know who to pick so I went with all three~! Hope you like them hun! ^^
———————-
Romeo
You’d have better luck asking anyone else to take care of your injuries than trusting Romeo to take care of you - sure he has some knowledge of how to take care of the basics, bumps, scrapes and stuff like that, so you’re in fairly capable hands, but anything beyond that he’d have some trouble with so hopefully the injuries are that serious. He does mildly freak out at the sight of your injuries but once he gets you sat down where he can actually take care of them that he actually starts to look over the extent of your injuries; he’ll do what he can to patch it up, making the occasional light hearted jab concerning the circumstances of your injury (which he hopes you won’t take personally but then again he doesn’t really have a filter on what he says) to try and make light of the situation until he’s satisfied with his care. He’s ultimately better at taking care of you while you’re recovering from your injuries than he is actually treating them - he’ll bring you things that you like in a bid to convince you to keep off of your feet while you recover, thinking that you’d be better staying where you can rest than up running about; he’d keep especially close watch on you the first day or two but as your recovery progresses he’ll happily let you sink back into your normal routine doing whatever you want once he’s sure you’re okay.
Xara
Xara’s fairly more experienced with taking care of injuries (a lot better than Romeo anyway) and knows how to take care of them regardless of what she has to use to start patching you up with, reacting the most calmly about the situation so that she’d be able to keep you from panicking about your injury. Since she’d be more focused on getting your injuries dealt with don’t expect much in terms of comfort or conversation, the sooner you’re patched up the less concerned she’ll be about your health and safety and more about helping you heal. She’s actually pretty awkward dealing with your recovery from your injuries, mostly just telling you to stay put until you’re better and leaving it at that - she does care about the state of your injuries but she’s also aware that you’re more than capable of judging your limits in what you’re able to do as you recover, although she’ll be more insistent that you try and stay off of your feet for at least some time so that she doesn’t have to worry about you re-opening any wounds.
Jack
Jack arguably has the most knowledge out of the three of them when it comes to taking care of injuries - he’s been in plenty of rough spots himself so he knows how to take care of a wide variety of injuries and ailments. He’d make sure you were in a position that wouldn’t risk making the injury any worse and prioritize getting it cleaned up so that simply patching it up won’t have any adverse effects, all the while trying to keep you calm and distracted from the pain of the injury; he’s vocal and will talk whilst he’s dressing your injury, recounting some stories or recent memories to help you take your mind off of it until you’re good to go. He won’t force you to rest up while you’re recovering if you don’t want to but he’ll insist that you at least take care of your injuries so that they don’t get any worse and he’ll be sure to keep an eye on them too just in case you overexert yourself or risk reopening the wound; if you do overwork the injury though he’ll make sure that you at least try to take it easy and rest your injury as much as you can until it’s healed up enough.

I’m sorry for being inactive anon but a few circumstances have gotten in the way of getting to requests :/ college work ultimately comes first and I also juggle a few other blogs so my time is stretched thin. I still want to keep posting here though! it’s simply difficult to do so at the moment.
I’m still working on stuff but please understand that it may take time (plus I’m a slow enough writer as it is ;w;) don’t worry though! once break hits I’ll hopefully have some more time to post more often!

For the Dialogue prompt: 6 with Petra and Werewolf Reader? Reader has enough control to not hurt anyone accidentally but kept it a secret due to not being sure how Petra will react to knowing about their curse.
Petra X Werewolf!Reader: Protect
Prompt 6:“You say hulking monstrosity I say large bear-dog with questionable morals”
—————–
No, this couldn’t be happening.
You had always prided yourself on your control over youraccursed ‘gift’, shielding it from the world around you content with theknowledge that so long they didn’t know it would be fine, for both those inyour life and yourself.  And yet withthis perpetual secret came the fear of being found out; it was painful to keepit a secret from everyone you cared about, much less for the very person youloved the most but it was a precaution you had to take – you weren’t preparedto see anyone hurt at your hands simply for letting your secret slip and as faras you were concerned your control was enough to keep it at bay, to ensure thateveryone was safe and ever oblivious to the curse which plagued you.
With the Admin’s sudden meddling however, it seemed as thatcontrol was no longer enough to last as you unfortunately came to find out.
You knew that clock of his was going to cause trouble themoment it switched the world around you from day to night, basking everythingaround you in a darkness only the moon was able to permeate, however it wasn’tuntil a wave of mobs made their appearances known that the seriousness of thesituation truly sunk in.
Beacontown residents zipped past you in panic as mobs tookadvantage of the towns now non-existent security, flooding past the damagedexterior and lumbering after the terrified people; you cursed yourself for nothaving your sword with you as you attempted to direct everyone to safety, gazescanning past each building in the hopes that you’d be able to spot yourfriends to make sure that everyone was okay as you tried to keep a fairdistance away from the growing number of hostile enemies. You could make outJesse clambering through the fray of zombies, sword making quick work ofeliminating each wave that pushed forward, and not too far from him you couldspot the older Jesse twin, working in tandem with Lukas to take down thestraying mobs with bows and arrows attempting to stop as many from getting inas they were able to.
You breathed a relieved sigh at the sight of the trio andcalled out to them, watching them spin to face you in the midst of fighting. “(Y/N)!You’re okay!” Jess cried, drawing out another arrow to take down the zombiegetting too close for comfort as you yelled back to them.
“Yeah, I’m fine! But where are the others?!”  it was hard to make them out over the roar ofthe mobs but you were fortunately able to hear Jesse as he responded, soundingutterly breathless from the exertion.
“They’re okay! Radar, Jack and the others are guidingeveryone back to safety!” whilst you were relieved to hear that the rest ofthem were okay you felt unease well up in you as you looked around, becomingincreasingly aware of one particular person missing from the fight as youcalled out again.
“What about Petra?” Jesse opened his mouth to yell back to you, sword braced to push backanother zombie and yet before the words could even escape him a familiar cry ofalarm pierced the air, sounding off from your left as your heart dropped. Yourfriends seemed equally distraught at the noise as your head snapped in thedirection of the voice
Before you knew it your legs were moving of their ownaccord, desperately seeking purchase in the ground beneath you as you scrambledtowards the source of the noise, brain flooding with all kinds of unpleasantthoughts about the sight you might be walking in on. Fortunately it didn’t takeyou long to find who you were looking for and you all but yelled as you roundeda corner. Petra had been cornered off by mobs, three skeletons and a spider allbut closing in on her as she stumbled back attempting to put distance betweenher and the creatures; she was never one to back down from a fight so seeingher appearing so panicked alarmed you, and with her sword nowhere to be seenyou knew she was defenceless.
“Petra!”
Her eyes flickered over to meet with your own, alarm rife onher features although she seemed relieved to finally catch sight of you, youcould almost say the same if you weren’t on alert about the monsters separatingthe two of you. She was worried, you couldn’t blame her, and you called out toher again. “Don’t worry Petra I’m here!” you flashed her a reassuring smile andturned your attention to looking around for a weapon of some kind, cursingyourself when your search came up empty; however the weapon search was all butforgotten as you turned back from Petra at the sound of her voice.
“(Y/N)-!” She didn’t even have the chance to finish hersentence until a harsh shove sent her toppling backwards off of her feet andyou gasped as she disappeared out of your sight, no longer visible beyond themobs.
The moment she disappeared out of view, panic was settingin, mind running rife with what could be happening to your partner as they beganclosing in; this was too much, if you weren’t careful your emotions were goingto get the better of you and there was no telling what you would do, but as themoments passed and Petra still hadn’t gotten back on her feet you just knewthere wasn’t another option.
Your nerves were on fire with a feeling all too familiar asyou began to change, coursing through you as your body shifted and altered tomatch your new form; hair, claws and teeth made themselves known and youwhimpered at the suddenness of it all, knowing there was little point in fightingthe calling of your curse, and knowing this you finally gave up your resistance.
The transformation was never aneasy process, with energy rippling through your muscles and pain coursingthrough your veins, and yet all you could think about was Petra as your sightlocked onto that accursed scene; her voice calling your name was all that youneeded to here before you were throwing yourself into the fray, breakingthrough the wall of creatures tearing them to pieces within moments. You madequick work of the skeletons, throwing them aside as you ploughed your body intothem in a way that sent them all ricocheting against the nearby wall and yougrowled at the chorus of cracks you heard them make upon impact. It was safe tosay they wouldn’t be getting up as you slowly rounded back towards the spider, claws grating against the ground beneath you and teeth bared in a threateningsnarl as you watched the mob scramble in an attempt to get away. It didn’t evenget far from its spot before you were on it, making quick work of the littlecreature with a triumphant titter, pleased to finally be rid of it as youfinally relented.
You stepped back, slinking awayfrom the fallen mobs as you reared back into a more relaxed pose, shouldersslumping with relief; with the threat now gone the haze clouding you seemed todisperse and your chest heaved as you released a shuddering huff, your new formstill running on the adrenaline of the fight; and yet with your now clear headbeing the voice of reason you remembered the very person you were trying toprotect and your gaze trailed back to where Petra had once been.
During the scuffle she’d managedto get back onto her feet, and whilst you were relieved that she wasn’t harmedlike you had thought you could feel her eyes burning into you, wide and at aloss for words at the situation. “(Y/N)?” her voice was calm yet brimmed withconfliction and you tensed seeing the apprehension in her posture, backtracking in an attempt to make distance between the two of you.
For a moment you consideredbolting – you couldn’t be sure how much she saw so perhaps you could feignignorance and have pretended to have gone for help and somehow convince herthat the werewolf stood before her wasn’t her partner; the thought was ridiculousin itself, but you almost wanted to believe that you could keep the secret justa little longer to keep everyone safe from knowing. Clearly it wasn’t going tohappen and you watched with cautious eyes as Petra began to approach you, eyeing you up in confusion and…awe?
By this point she was rightbefore you and you made no attempts to move, waiting patiently as her hand roseup and reached out to you, now assured that you weren’t going to bolt themoment she touched you, but she paused. Petra was understandably hesitant atfirst, hand just barely ghosting over your head silently asking for permissionand with some effort you eventually closed the remaining distance, eyesfluttering to a close with a content grumble as her hand ran through your fur;her other hand soon followed suit, softly petting the side of your head. By thetime she pulled away you could see the disbelief in her eyes, but no fear – shewasn’t scared of you in the slightest, and the knowledge made you snort insurprise as she flashed you a baffled but somewhat reassuring grin. “(Y/N) thisis…whoa” you would have teased her for her reaction if you could but remainedsilent as she gave you a once over, taking in your form before speaking again.
“This is huge – why didn’t youtell me you could do all of this?” the question wasn’t scolding in any way, holding more curiosity than anything else but the question made you whimper solemnlyunable to explain yourself.
You’d always been scared aboutwhat would happen if you’d ever breathed a word of your curse to anyone else, knowing full well what people could be capable of when they were in fear andsure that if they saw what you could become it would never end well for anyoneinvolved. Bowing your head you keened, the solemnness in your voice apparentlyconveying all you wanted to say as she spoke for you.
“You were…worried?”
You didn’t need to speak toconfirm her suspicions and she sighed. “(Y/N) you…I can get why you didn’t tellus, tell me, but I don’t want you tofeel like you have to keep things like this a secret – you just saved me backthere when you could have done nothing; I’m sure that deserves some credit” aftera few moments of pause she once again brought a hand to rest against the sideof your head, thumb brushing along the outline of your ears. “It’s okay” younever coined Petra as the soothing type, but the slow brush of her fingersrelaxed you, and although it took some getting used to the touch in such anunfamiliar form you gradually leaned more ardently into her hand, ears droopingback and tail idly strumming behind you with a somewhat pleased and contentrumble.
For a few moments you stayedlike that, comforted by her reassurance but eventually you knew you had tomove, so with a gently nudge of your head she let her hands slip away, andwhilst you already missed the comfort of her touch you took a step back and preparedyourself for the change back.
The shift back was significantlyeasier, far less painful compared to the initial transformation as you feltyourself grow small, growing back into your original body and you stretchedyour aching joints with a whine; your clothes were frayed and now hung loosefrom being stretched and you were sure that they wouldn’t be worn any time inthe future however you paid no mind to it in favour of finally being able toreply. “So…you’re not scared that I can turn into some hulking monstrosity?”
“You say hulking monstrosity Isay large bear-dog with questionable morals” you barked out a laugh at that, muffling it with one hand at the phrasing.
“That, uh, that’s a new one; butstill, I’m glad” you chuckled, relief flooding through you as she clapped ahand onto your back, pulling you against her side.
“Well I’m glad that you’re glad –you don’t need to be afraid to tell me anything from now on, okay? I’ve gotyour back” your cheeks burned but you smiled nonetheless, a gesture which she returnedwith a charming smile of her own as you leaned into her touch.
The peace didn’t last for longbefore a chorus of voices broke you out of the moment and you both turned intothe direction of the noise, clearly making out the sound of your names beingcalled by Jesse and the rest of your friends and you tensed remembering thesituation everyone was wrapped up in. “Maybe we should get going; see if theyneed any more help” you muttered, reluctantly pulling away although you stillstuck close to her side as she sighed.
“Yeah we should” Petra pausedfor a moment before adding as an afterthought “But once this is all over I wantto know more – this is too cool not to have some questions”
You couldn’t blame her, had theroles been reversed you’re sure that you’d definitely have a few queries ofyour own. “That sounds like a deal” as you replied the pair of you turned backto the direction of the voices, catching sight of the Jesse twins as they cameinto view not too far from the direction you had come from, looking utterlyspent but relieved to spot you two as they eagerly waved you over.
With a deep breath it was yourturn to place a hand on Petra’s back, nodding assuredly up at her as you both movedto join the rest of the group, set to figure out where things were going to gofrom here.

Radar X Reader: Calm
“(Y/N)? Are you coming? Axel and Olivia are nearly here!”
You perked up at the voice that pulled you away from your book, attention shooting over to Jesse as he stood in the doorway, watching the broad grin spread on his face upon seeing your expression light up at his words. Closing the book you had previously been using you left it forgotten at your desk as you nearly toppled out of your chair trying to stand up, bolting across the room and over to the leader's side as a grin spread across your face; you didn’t even give him a moment more to speak before you were sliding past him, dragging him along with you by the crook of his arm as you navigated through the halls and rooms of the house, eager to see your friends again after what felt like so long.
“Hey, slow down you don’t even know where they are yet” Jesse chuckled, amused by your enthusiasm as you turned to look at him over your shoulder.
“We’ll find them sooner if we look around enough! So come on!” you retorted, laughing as you pressed on, your eyes eagerly scanning the rooms you passed in hopes of catching a glimpse of the people in question.
It had felt as though it had been so long since you’d had the chance to see your old friends, with everyone swamped with their own respective work and duties it was hard for any of you to find enough time off to all meet up once again, so the prospect of seeing them made you absolutely ecstatic something you were sure Jesse shared with you as he hurried to match up with your pace. Of course it wouldn't feel like a complete reunion without Petra and Lukas due to them being out of town during Axel’s and Olivia’s arrival, but you were just glad to have some of the gang back together even if it was only for a day or two; you could worry about their absence later though, for now you had some old friends to catch up with.
It didn’t take either of you long before you’d finally managed to track them down in the main hall and you couldn’t have opened the doors faster if you tried, hearing the doorframes rattle as they burst open and you rushed inside. Both people present in the room turned around to face you two and their expressions lit up upon noticing it was you and jesse and you grinned and raced over to them, your excitement upon seeing your companions again clearly mirrored in their equally content expressions.
“Axel! Olivia! You guys are really here!” you cried out, barely making it to their sides before Axel scooped you up into his arms, barking out a loud laugh as you buried your face into his chest and attempted to return the hug as hard as you could, giggling as you greeted him.
“Looking good Axel! I’ve missed you so much big guy! - And your hugs!” he was hugging you a bit too tight but you couldn’t care in the slightest, relishing the contact as much as you could before he let you back down onto your feet again.
With you out of his arms Axel turned to Jesse as he came to join the group and promptly scooped him up as he’d done with you and you laughed hearing the yell of surprise he made as Axel buried him in his hold. You turned your attention away from the pair and looked to Olivia, watching her warm, welcoming smile brighten as you practically engulfed her in an embrace. “Olivia I’m so glad to see you - and look at you! Just as beautiful as I remember it’s like you haven’t aged a day!” she chuckled as your hands cupped her cheeks taking in her appearance as she replied.
“I could say the same, (y/N) - it’s been a while and yet you’re still as lively as ever” smirking you pulled away and jabbed a thumb towards Jesse, who was stumbling a bit trying to regain his bearings after Axel’s hug.
“Well with this guy over here running the show one of us has got to have enough energy to keep up” you teased, stepping to the side as Jesse came up to greet Olivia.
You couldn’t help but take in the sight of your companions, watching them talking and laughing as though they’d never been apart and you felt your heart warm up seeing it; even after such long periods of being apart it still felt like the same old time from years ago - of course things had changed so much since then, with each of you having to grow up and adapt to your new lives accordingly, but there were parts of each of you that still felt the same; still felt like home, and you couldn’t have been more grateful for that.
You were still smiling fondly as Jesse moved to stand between his two friends, looking a lot happier than he had in quite a while as he spoke. “We’re so happy that you guys were able to make it, it feels so good to have the gang back together like this -” he began, looking around at the faces of his friends “- I hope that the trip here wasn’t too bad”
Axel brought his hand up to signal it was good before crossing his arms across his chest. “Don’t worry it was fine - getting here was easy, even with all the changes you’ve made to the town” he said, eyes scanning the new layout of the hall as Olivia spoke up moments after him.
“Although we did have some trouble finding our way through here, all of the new rooms definitely made things a bit of a challenge”.
At her words you paused, surprise flashing across your face as your eyes darted to Jesse who in turn seemed equally taken aback by what she said. “Wait, you guys came here alone?” you questioned, watching them nod in confirmation.
“Are you guys sure there wasn’t someone waiting for you? You know - average height, black hair, glasses, looks way too excited and nervous all at  once?”
“(Y/N), we haven’t seen anyone but the two of you” Olivia assured, understandably confused as Axel piped in.
“Why, should we have?”
You and Jesse exchanged glances from the corners of your vision, silently questioning who was last to see the person in question before you sighed and brought a hand to pinch the bridge of your nose. “Okay so it looks like we’ve got a search on our hands” patting Jesse on the shoulder you swivelled round to turn back towards the door.
“I’m going to look for him while you guys all catch up” you explained, walking over towards the door as you spoke.
“Huh? But you just got here!” Jesse exclaimed, watching you open the door with a reassuring grin.
“Don’t worry! I’ll be back before you guys even notice I was gone~!” you didn't wait for another response and took the initiative to slip back into the hallway, straightening up as you began wandering down it your gaze carefully scanning around for the intern in question as you went past.
Olivia definitely had a point about all of the new stuff, a lot more rooms had been added to help accommodate and keep up with both the growing town and the increasing number of adventures you’d all been on over the years, and whilst they’d been smart decisions at the time there was a part of you that was beginning to resent them now that you were actually having to search through them all.  Fortunately the majority of them had windows or an open door which gave you full access to see what was inside without actually having to go through them all individually; it was a relief that you’d just have to look at the rooms as you walked past to see whether anyone was inside, however with each empty room you passed you felt a bit disheartened
It wasn’t like him to just disappear like this, he’d been so excited to meet Axel and Olivia he’d been sticking close to the entrance of the building nearly all morning, excitedly bumbling about finally getting the chance to meet them in person and how much he was looking forward to it, so the fact he wasn’t anywhere in the immediate vicinity admittedly had you a bit worried, which of course made you all the more eager to find him.
You made your way down a few hallways without a sign of him to be seen and you frowned as your eyes avidly darted from door to door, hoping to catch some kind of glimpse as worry bubbled in the pit of your stomach and you couldn’t help but mutter to yourself as you moved around.
“Come on, where are you-”
Suddenly you stopped in your tracks, pausing at what you assumed (more like hoped) was the sound of muffled mumbling and you froze, head darting around before locking onto the door to your far left. Even if you could barely hear it you couldn’t mistake the voice if you even tried and you felt relief wash over you as you released a breath you hadn’t realized you’d been holding and strode over to the door; you didn’t hesitate to open the door just enough to peek your head through and smiled upon finally noticing the figure looking outside of the window idly shifting around as if waiting for something and you spoke up.
“Radar!”
Radar squeaked and jolted up in his spot, swivelling around to turn to face you and you chuckled watching the surprise on his face drop to relief as he realized who it was. “O-Oh! (Y/N), it’s just you”
“Yup just me” you giggled with a shrug, taking the initiative to step inside and press the door to a close behind you as you leaned against it, folding your arms across your chest as your posture relaxed, glad to finally see the anxious intern again.
You took a moment to look around the room, scanning the items (or more accurately lack thereof) which scattered the room before falling back to Radar as he stood by the window, offering you a sheepish smile as you spoke. “I wondered where you’ve been; when you weren’t there to greet Axel and Olivia I’d hoped you were still nearby, I’m glad you’re okay though”
“Ah, sorry I was going to come back as soon as-” Whatever he’d planned to say fell to silence as he suddenly paused, tensing up and eyes growing wide as he gasped.
“Wait - they’re here? Already?!” You nodded in confirmation, watching the color practically drain from his face at the information.
“I had a feeling you didn’t know, that’s why I came to look for you” you could already tell that wasn’t the best thing to say as his head snapped back to the window - understandably he’d expected to have seen them arriving from there given it wasn’t too far from the entranceway, but you could see the shock registering as he mumbled.
“O-Oh no, I guess I didn’t see them come in? Oh no they must be furious! I should have been there waiting! I should have…!” He broke off into a bout of rambling, stress making itself evident upon his features alongside a brief flash of panic.
He was anxious, it was clear from the way he started rambling and fidgeting almost unconsciously in his place, and for a little while you let him get it out of his system, after all he always let you come to him whenever you needed to vent or take a break from it all so you figured it couldn’t hurt to wait for him to calm down.
Well, you tried to anyway.
After a couple of moments you couldn’t help but call out to him. “Radar?”
He didn’t turn at your voice, not hearing you as he continued his frenzied mumbling; after a few seconds with no success you tried again.
“Uh...Radar?”
He still didn’t respond and you watched as his brows furrowed, obviously lost to his own thoughts even going so far as to pace around in the midst of his words. Eventually you gave up on that tactic and sighed, shaking your head as you pushed yourself away from the door and wandered over to his side, once there you clapped a hand onto his shoulder, watching his whole body tense as he whirled back around to face you
“Ah! (Y/N) I’m so-!” you cupped his cheeks, watching the stress melt from his face as you flashed him a reassuring smile and brushed your thumbs along the blush gradually blossoming across his face and growing more prominent as you cut him off.
“Calm down Radar no-one’s mad at you; everyone’s fine and catching up in the hall so you don’t need to worry about it” he seemed to relax at your words at least a tad as his shoulders slumped, releasing an almost relieved sigh at the reassuring gesture.
“Whew that’s, um, that’s good!” he chirped, offering a small smile of his own albeit somewhat sheepish but genuine nonetheless.
“Although~” you began, a smirk rising to your face as you continued. “I’m sure they’d still love to meet you, if you want?” within moments his expression lit up, the worry all but gone in favor of the near ecstatic expression brightening his features as he gasped.
“Really?” even you had to chuckle, finding his sudden change cute as you responded.
“I guess I’ll take that as a yes then” Patting his cheeks you pulled away and swivelled back around, making your way over to the door you’d entered from and opening it, however right before you left you turned to look over your shoulder.
“Are you coming?” Radar was by your side before you’d even finished your sentence, practically bristling with excitement as he cried out “Of course!” and matched your pace, seemingly just as excited as you were as he flashed you an ecstatic smile, one you were all too happy to return as you giggled.
“Well then let’s go”

“You do realize everyone thought you were dead, right? I’ve literally just come back from your funeral”
“Who needs sleep when you have cookies?”
“Sure I could leave you on your own, but given the fact I don’t trust you I’m not gonna do that”
“Who...does anyone know who the person sprawled out in the bathtub is?”
“You say hulking monstrosity I say large bear-dog with questionable morals”
“Look I said I was sorry what more could you want?” “Maybe some help to the nearest hospital?!”
“But wait, if that’s the door for that room then shouldn’t it be over...?” “...Oh no”
“Okay I know these are your clothes but I promise I have a reason...I mean it might not be a good one but I swear I can explain”
“You broke the window?!” “Well technically it was the sword but sure let’s go with that”
“You’re not going down there” “Why not?” “Because I’m not going to be the one to explain how you got yourself wrapped up in a murder mystery”
“Please just one hug? It’s so cold and you’re so warm!”
“Are you really trusting the kids to braid your hair?”
“If this is hell it’s a lot colder than I’ve been told; clearly this is false advertising”
“If you can be quiet enough to let me sleep then I guess you can stay”
“That’s not your wallet” “And how do you know?” “Because last time I checked your name wasn’t Joshua...plus I don’t think you could ever rock a mohawk like this guy”
“Wait...whose bedroom is this?”
“Has anyone ever told you that have the most majestic hair?”
“I might...be a little drunk right about now”
“I know you don’t know what’s going on right now but I’ll explain everything when you’re not on the verge of death okay?”

“Nothing screams love like cuddles after accidentally being booted out of bed”
“There’s one bed and neither of us want to sleep on the floor so suck it up and just share it”
“I know this isn’t convenient but if you could pretend to be my date for a few hours so I can avoid the social awkwardness of telling the whole world I was stood up I’d really appreciate it”
“On nights like these I’d just really like to die in peace is that so much to ask?”
“To be honest I expected a lot of things when you called me up at three in the morning, but I hope you understand that a fake engagement ring wasn’t on that list”
“How are you holding up?” “Well I think I’ve just lost an eye so do with that information what you will”
“You looked so cute back then! What happened?!”
“You are single handedly the reason for my anxiety”
“Stop talking I’m trying to concentrate”
“I’d just like to take a moment to thank whoever decided to make onesies”
“Soooo...that’s your new pet?” “Sure is! Isn’t he just the cutest little lizard~?” “...that’s a dragon”
“If you don’t think I’m willing to adopt all of these animals then you’re about to be proven wrong”
“This puppy’s only been here for an hour and my heart’s already melting why are you like this”
“Holy hell you’re like twice my size!”
“I’m never trusting you in the kitchen. Never again”
“Have you been...baking? All morning?”
“So it has a face now...that’s definitely not terrifying….”
“I’d ask where your clothes are but at this point this isn’t the weirdest thing you’ve done so I’m not going to ask”
“Please just get some sleep” “I can’t the just dance is calling me”
“You’re tougher than you look I’ll give you that!”
“Sometimes I wonder what ideas you have running through your head...but then of course I remember you almost tried to kill a guy which means it’s probably nothing good”
“You realize bathrobes have sleeves right?”
“Come on just keep it together until we get you back; and stay close, the last thing we need is another fight”
“I never said I liked you...but I never said I didn’t either”
“This is probably the weirdest proposal I’ve ever been involved in”
“I can’t feel my leg...seriously get off you’ve been sat on it for an hour now”
“Flower crowns! Flower crowns! Flower crowns-!” “Okay! Okay! Just stop with the chanting you sound like you’re summoning a demon or something”

Male!Jesse X Reader: Cold
You forced back a shiver and burrowed further into the welcoming warmth of your coat with a sigh, your eyes trailing down to watch your breath rasp out in small, willowy wisps of air as you huffed. The morning cold nipped at your cheeks and nose, the sensation not too unfamiliar as your expression scrunched up at the feeling and you brought your hands up in a vain attempt to keep them warm as you shuffled further back against the bench; it was far colder than you had expected it to be, and with the winter weather finally settling in you almost wished you’d brought something more than just a coat to keep yourself warm, maybe a pair of gloves or a scarf - anything that could keep you warm would be welcome at this point - but in your defense you hadn’t expected to be stuck outside for very long.
You were supposed to be meeting up with a friend you hadn’t seen in a while, and whilst you’d thought that by the time you’d made it into town and to the meeting point they would have already been there you found yourself corrected upon seeing they were nowhere in sight. It had been shrugged off initially, after all it was still the early hours of the morning so you wouldn’t have been surprised if they had overslept, so instead you had decided to take a seat for a while hoping you wouldn’t have to wait long before they showed up.
Of course after hours of waiting the hope of them showing up at all was dwindling and at this point you had simply accepted the fact they probably weren’t going to show up at all, and yet despite this you’d stuck around, taken to people-watching to pass the time for a while until you finally convinced yourself to just head back home. However even as you waited you felt your resolve cracking - the cold wasn’t something you were unfamiliar with, it was actually a nice change from heatwaves and warmer weather, but every brush of wind was sending shivers through you and you could already feel your temperature dropping as if trying to match with the icy chill and the unpleasant sensation had you grumbling halfheartedly with a shake of your head.
“Why do I even bother…”
A familiar noise jostled you out of your thoughts and you immediately perked up, gaze darting down to your feet where all too familiar face stared back up at you, bundled up in a small fluffy scarf and you grinned, your momentary shock melting into relief. “Oh! Hey there Ruben; loving the outfit lil guy~!” Ruben snorted happily and turned to the side as if proudly showing off the scarf and you couldn’t help but giggle at the cute display before you.
Leaning down you brought a hand down to pet the top of his head, smiling as he nuzzled into your hand for a little while as you mused. “So what’re you doing here? Is someone with you?” he looked up at you and cocked his head with a snuffle and not even moments after the words left your lips you heard a voice call out.
“Ruben? Where’d you wander off to buddy?” you looked up just in time to catch Jesse turn the corner to face the two of you. He was dressed up far better for the cold weather than you were, wearing a thick coat, scarf and gloves and in his arms he juggled a few bag filled with miscellaneous items; his eyes locked onto you and you watched the confusion on his face melt into a surprised smile upon recognising you. “(Y/N)?”
“Hey Jesse - didn’t think you’d be up this early” you greeted, quirking a smile in his direction as he approached you.
“We woke up too early and couldn’t get back to sleep so I decided to get the shopping out of the way” He explained, motioning to Ruben as best as he could before turning back to you. “What about you?”
You sighed and stopped petting Ruben, hearing him squeal in protest as you shrugged and ran a hand through your hair. “Well I was supposed to be meeting a friend today, otherwise I would have still been in bed by now, but from the looks of it they aren’t going to show anytime soon - they probably forgot it was today too” it sounded more bitter than you had intended now that you said it aloud but you couldn’t help it, they hadn’t even let you know they wouldn’t show and you’d been waiting for so long you were pretty sure your fingers had turned to ice by now.
“Wait, how long have you been stuck here?” he questioned, however in the time it took for you to count up exactly how long it had been he got the answer he needed. “Oh...so that long, then”
“Yup” you forced down another shudder as the wind picked up, shrinking a little more into your coat as you scowled, mentally cursing whatever had decided to make the sudden temperature drop.
You could have sworn for a moment that Jesse and Ruben exchanged glances as a beat or two of silence passed until Jesse spoke up again. “Well we’re on our way back home if you want to come with us!” you looked up at him, registering his offer as you contemplated it for a while before asking.
“Are you sure?”
“Of course! It won’t do any good stuck outside like this - plus, I don’t think Ruben wants to leave you out here either” you looked down at the pig, smiling as he stood right by your side, clearly waiting for you to come along.
It took a few seconds before you finally shrugged and moved to push yourself onto your feel, grunting in frustration at how rigid you felt from being sat for so long as you tried to relax whilst you turned to him. “If you’re sure - lead the way”
Jesse’s expression lit up at you words and grinned, motioning for you to follow him as he began walking back in the direction of the house with Ruben not far behind and you soon followed, matching up with his pace as the three of you began your travel to your destination. It wasn’t hard to keep pace with them, after all they weren’t in any rush to get back, but you were relieved to finally be up and moving again, already feeling your joints warming considerably now that they were being put to use again even if it was still chilly; with the cold no longer being your primary concern your attention wandered over to your companions, specifically Jesse.
Even despite the early hours of the morning he didn’t seemed to bothered by it, if anything he seemed to have a lot more energy than you would’ve thought if his brisk pace and bright smile was anything to go by and yet his energy was almost infectious as you felt a small smile twitch at the corner of your lips as you spoke.
“Need some help carrying those?” you questioned, motioning to the bags of food and miscellaneous items and you watched his eyes dart down to the bags as he shuffled them to get a better grip on them.
“It’s fine! I’ve dealt with heavier stuff this is no problem!” he chirped, puffing out his chest and picking up his pace as if to prove a point and you couldn’t help but note with amusement that Ruben had shared that exact same expression not minutes before.
You shrugged nonetheless and nodded, simply accepting his answer and made to catch up with him, shoving your hands into your coat pockets as you fell into stride with him; the following silence that ensued for the following minutes wasn’t uncomfortable and you were glad that it wasn’t anything awkward enough to force conversation - Jesse always seemed to have that effect, and it was only natural that because of this his presence alone was a comfort, making the trek a lot more bearable in the process.
Fortunately it didn’t take long before a familiar house came into view and you instantly perked up at the sight of it, picking up your pace in an effort to get to the door just a little sooner. Jesse and Ruben seemed to have the same idea and before you knew it you were right at the door, watching Jesse momentarily fumble the keys into the lock until it unlocked; as he stepped inside you idled back to let Ruben in first before you finally followed them inside, taking one last look at the outside over your shoulder before entering inside.
You’d visited the house plenty of times before, but you had never been more happier to step inside as the warmth flooded through you the moment the door closed behind the three of you; the familiar burn against your hands and face only brought relief to finally be somewhere heated rather than stuck out in the cold and you quickly found your frigid skin warming considerably as you made quick work of your shoes. Jesse followed suit and kicked off his boots, pushing them to the side with one foot as he made his way further into the house and you trailed behind him; you watched from the doorway of the kitchen as he made quick work dumping everything onto the table, huffing in relief now that his hands were free before shooting you a grin and thumbs up.
Ruben darted past your legs and disappeared into the next room, head peeking back through a few moments later as if wondering if you were going to follow and you chuckled, plodding across to the room as you shucked off your coat. By the time you’d entered the room Ruben was already sat on the sofa, settling down with a content snuffle as you settled next to him, letting your coat rest against the arm of the seat while you made yourself comfortable. He snuggled into your side and for a while you relaxed against the sofa, running a hand through over your head in an attempt to sort out your hair whilst your other hand busied itself fussing Ruben as you made yourself comfortable.
It took a few minutes before Jesse finally emerged from the kitchen, armed with a mug in each hand as he made his way across the room to join the two of you; settling down onto the empty space on the sofa he offered you one of the mugs and you took it off his hands, curiously peeking into it to see the thick swirls of hot chocolate, brushing puffs of hot air past you. You didn’t need an invitation as you took an experimental sip of the drink, feeling the welcome warmth washing through you with each drink.
“Feeling better?”
“So much better” you replied with a content sigh as you took another hearty swig of the hot beverage, glad that it wasn’t too hot as you practically downed the majority of the mug’s contents before finally putting it down onto the living room table.
“Thanks Jesse, for all of this” you turned back to him, watching him take a drink of his own as he leaned back against the sofa and made himself comfortable on the plus material.
“It’s no problem, (Y/N), really I wasn’t going to leave you outside waiting until you froze”
“Come on I would have gone home-” Jesse shot you a skeptical look and after a moment you huffed. “-okay I would have gone home eventually, I just wanted to be sure, y’know?” shrugging to yourself your shoulders slumped and you relaxed, soon speaking again.
“...But I’m glad I didn’t; after all you do make some good hot chocolate” you mused with a grin, making quick work of finishing off the last of your drink as he replied.
“Well if you want I can give you the recipe”
“Really?” your attention snapped over to him, perking up at the offer and he nodded in confirmation.
“Sure!” For a second he paused, staring at you with an unreadable expression before finally leaning forward.
“Although maybe you should be a bit more careful with it...”  you were a little confused but didn’t move as he reached out a hand towards you and brushed his thumb across your upper lip, in fact it wasn’t until he pulled away to show you his hand did you realize and you laughed upon noticing the smeared hot chocolate he’d just wiped off surprised you hadn’t noticed it sooner.
“Well it doesn’t look like you’re cold anymore~” you didn’t have to see your face to know what he’d meant - your cheeks were probably bright red by now, be it just the warmth or something else you weren’t sure but you chuckled alongside him nonetheless; as your laughter quieted to a giggle you leaned closer against his side. “Yeah, I guess so”
A comfortable silence fell between you for a little while, the pair of you just basking in the relaxed atmosphere until you finally brought yourself to speak once again.“...Jesse?” you heard a faint hum signalling that he heard you as you continued.
“I know I probably sound like a broken record, but I still just want to say thanks, for not leaving me out there” A sudden snort brought your attention back to Ruben who came to settle right between the two of you and you giggled, taking a moment to pet the top of his head.
“And of course thanks to you too little guy!” Satisfied he made himself comfy on your lap, however no sooner had he settled did you feel Jesse’s head come to rest on your shoulder, offering you a grin as his eyes met up with your own soft smile.
“Anytime, (Y/N);anytime~”

Vampire!Warden X Reader: Curious
“Do the teeth ever get in the way sometimes? Like when you talk and eat?”
“No, they don’t”
“...Wait can you even eat normal food? I bet it tastes different right~?”
“Yes I can and no, it hasn’t changed the taste at all”
“...Are you sure?”
The Warden huffed and looked up from his desk, his unamused frown meeting your sheepish smile as you grinned back at him, clearly not caring in the slightest that you weren’t even supposed to be here to begin with and instead continued to list of questions in an attempt to sate your curiosity, after all you didn’t exactly have anything better to do.
“Are you honestly going to do this the entire time you’re here?” he questioned, brow quirked as you merely shrugged in response.
“Depends how long it takes to annoy you enough to get aways from your work”
“Well if that’s what you’re after you’ll be waiting a while - I’ve dealt with guests far more persistent than you”
“Awww come on Warden I still have questions~!” you whined, sounding a bit too childish for your own liking but it managed to elict a disgruntled huff before he attempted to return back to his work again.
“The questions can wait until I’m finished; I’ll be done soon if you can be quiet for just a while - even a minute”
“Hmm, you’re driving a hard bargain there...fine, I guess I can wait a little while” you could see his shoulders just barely droop in relief (something you really wanted to scoff at but you held it back) as you fell silent, reclining back further into your seat as your eyes idly wandered around the office, twiddling your thumbs and clicking your tongue as your gaze flickered over to the doorway which was (thankfully) closed once you’d remembered to close it behind you when you’d snuck in.
To the Warden it was a mystery how you’d even managed to slip past the golems and other workers of the institute and get into his office so often, however it had occurred so many times that by this point you were sure he had no interest in actually finding out how you’d gotten here. You couldn’t say you were complaining though, you were one of the inmates after all so when you weren’t sleeping in your cell or stuck working on one of the floors, sneaking out to bug the Warden had been the only highlight to your ‘stay’ (or sentence as you called it) and you were keen to keep it up.
With that being said however the risk you were taking every day sneaking away to get here wasn’t always your only concern - there were of course the arguments with other inmates and the trouble you got into trying to slip off the associate’s radars but they weren’t your main issue. No, the only thing you ever had to keep an eye on was the Warden himself; painfully aware of both who he was and just what he was.
You couldn’t say for sure how long it had been since you’d found out about the Warden’s little secret (days, weeks, months - time seemed nonexistent within the Institute’s walls so you couldn’t tell) and it hadn’t been your intention to either. You swore it was pure unfortunate luck that led you to finding out - you’d only wanted to come up to the Warden’s office to make amends with another ‘guest’ who had been sent up there after the pair of you had gotten into a fight, but instead, by some stroke of misfortune you had stumbled in on the very keeper of the Institute draining the life out of the poor guy you’d come looking for.
The thought of the memory alone was enough to make you shudder to think back on as you recalled the details: like the panic wrought on the inmates pain-stricken face as his mind flickered in and out of consciousness, or the sound he made as his body crumpled to the floor in a weak heap once the grip on him had released, or even the blood which blossomed across the floor, slipping into the cracks like a mangled mural. All of those thoughts were uncomfortable enough to look back on, and yet they paled in comparison to what really stuck with you.
The Warden himself tried to maintain chipper and collected even when he was livid (something you and the other guests had teased him a great deal about...when he was out of earshot of course) but in a few brief moments he hadn’t noticed you that day his expression was...lifeless; there was nothing there, the smile he’d prided on had been null and void, mouth agape panting as if he’d been gasping for air and revealing the set of blood-tarnished fangs bared as if ready to lash out if the body beneath him had dared move again.
And his eyes...they’d been empty. Whatever emotion he’d experienced that day never reached his eyes, they’d been dull and cold and the only word that came to your mind at the thought of them were dead. It had only been once he’d noticed you that the normal Warden had seemed to return, shuddering back to life as you’d stared each other down.
Pursing your lips at the memory, your gaze was no longer focused on the man working at his desk and you instead stared off at some random area of his office, your mind wondering off to thoughts you weren’t too keen on keeping around but you couldn’t help yourself.
You should have been dead - that much you were certain of - or at least turned into one of those ‘vampire’ things (you’re pretty sure that’s what Warden had referred to himself as) like him and the poor sucker he’d drained the blood out of; and yet for some reason you’d managed to get out of that particular situation alive, it had taken some convincing on your part and a promise to keep your lips sealed about the whole event just to get yourself out of there but you were alive, and that of course was what brought you to this current...agreement of sorts. Friendship probably wasn’t the right word to call it (after all both of you were essentially forced into this situation) but you were pretty sure you knew more about the Warden than many of the other people within the institute’s walls so you weren’t sure what you would call this predicament.
Acquaintances maybe? Or maybe he was only dealing with you for the time being, just waiting for your guard to be down enough to-
“(Y/N)”
In your defense you hadn’t realized just how lost you had been in your own thoughts to notice that Warden had moved away from his desk and was now right beside you, waiting expectantly for you to notice his presence, but even so you felt your face burn in embarrassment as you yelped and nearly toppled from your perched position; fortunately he was able to steady you before that happened and saved you that form of trouble but you swore that you heard him chuckle as you settled back into your seat clutching your chest.
“H-Hey a bit of warning next time!” you hissed, expression souring seeing the hint of a smirk tugging at his face before it was gone again.
“Perhaps you should be paying more attention to your surroundings” for a brief moment he paused before speaking up again “...You’re lost in your thoughts again, what’s wrong?”
You opened your mouth prepared to take full offence as he said again, however at his query you soon shut it again, weighing your options for a few seconds before sighing. “Oh, you know just thinking and all that - nowadays it’s one of the only things I can do to keep myself entertained trapped down here”
Whether Warden was actually oblivious to your sarcasm or merely decided not to grace you with a retort he didn’t call you out on it and instead asked “thinking about what?”
You didn’t need to answer him, instead you shot a blank stare up at him, gaze locking with his own for a while until realisation finally flashed across those pallid eyes. “Ah...that”
The two of you had never actually spoke about the events of that day (aside from joking about some of the other guests he’d turned in bad humor of course but when he hadn’t laughed at your subtle jab you’d never joked about it again) but it was something that you couldn’t deny mulling over a lot whenever you had the chance; it wasn’t exactly the easiest conversation starter however so it made sense neither of you brought it up. And yet upon noticing your expression Warden’s eyes narrowed, as if scrutinizing your features for a tad longer than he should have before finally sighing.
“I see that’s going to be the topic of discussion today, hm?” you chuckled meekly at his words but nodded affirmatively, watching a small smile wash over his face. “Fine - move over then”
Shuffling to the side to give him enough room Warden sat down beside you, his hands coming to clasp together resting against his legs as his posture relaxed, taking a deep breath as he settled right next to you. For a second you almost didn’t want to speak, but eventually you found your voice as you mumbled.“I know it’s been awhile since then...but it’s still weird to think about I guess; I mean I’m glad you trust me with your ‘big secret’ and all, but it wasn’t exactly the best circumstances”
“You have a point there...at least you’ve learned to knock before entering, thankfully” he probably hadn’t meant to make that sound like a joke but you couldn’t help but let out a rather undignified snort as you nudged his side with your elbow as you shot back sarcastically “yeah I know - such a miracle.”
A few beats of silence passed, not necessarily uncomfortable but more on the mildly awkward side as you attempted to mull over your words before you actually said them, however after some time you finally just gave up and threw your words out before you convinced yourself otherwise.
“I’ve gotta admit back then you were...terrifying - looked ready to pounce on me or something” you chuckled a bit, shaking your head at the ridiculous thought now that you’d actually said it. “It’s just scary to think about maybe one day I could be stuck being on the receiving end of those fangs - guess that’d be a pretty sharp turn” you’d attempted to pass off the comment with a joke and nonchalant wave of your hand; however while you had planned for him to be too happy with the statement you hadn’t expected his expression to sudden grow serious as he cut you off.
“I wouldn’t hurt you”
“Yeah, I know” Even so it was still reassuring to hear that and you released a somewhat relieved  laugh beneath your breath.
“Don’t worry, it’ll just take time; I’m sure once it’s all settled down I’ll get used to all of this and it’ll seem normal-” you thought for a second before shrugging. “-Or maybe not - but hey that’s all par for the course, we'll get to that bridge once we have to cross it” you clapped a hand onto his back and leaned to his side, offering him a warm smile. “So cheer up gloomy-fangs~! Seriously the whole serious vibe really doesn’t suit you!”
Warden returned the gesture with a small smile of his own and mimicked your actions, patting your back as if trying to provide some form of comfort but you appreciated it nonetheless as he responded.
“You should smile like that more often - it suits you” you huffed and rolled your eyes at that but couldn’t stop the smile from breaking into a full grin which you tried (and failed) to conceal with a fake cough; that earned a grin from Warden himself, just barely flashing you those pert blade-like fangs which didn’t seem nearly as threatening as when you had first seen them and you felt yourself relax at the realisation.
“Whoo~! Glad that’s finally out of the way right Warden~?” you exclaimed with a stretch, watching his eyes momentarily dart to the side and you cocked your head curiously as he finally turned back to you.
“Please, call me Gordon”
“Gordon?” you repeated, surprise washing over your features; it wasn’t in your top list of guessed names for him but at the same time it suited him and you nodded seemingly pleased with the new information.
“Well, Gordon, I’m glad we got to chat like this for a change~ I could get used to this” you returned back to your original position leaning against his side, head coming to rest on your shoulders as you folded your arms and you felt a sense of content bubble up as you felt his head tilt to rest atop of your own as the pair of you stayed as you were, comfortable simply like this for the time being.
“Yes, I suppose I could get used to this too”
...
…….
……….
……………
“...Now about that food thing-”
“(Y/N), no”
“Seriously how sure are you on a scale of one to ten?”
“We aren’t doing this right now”
“Come on Gordon I need answers!”
