I'm very pleased to finally read something like this. Unfortunately, I think people who actually understand enough science to change which way they vote will potentially have too little of an impact.
This message needs to be spread to the masses; in terms they understand.
Suddenly. public engagement and understanding in science is more crucial than ever.

I'm quite surprised at this story.
I've heard of people registering e-mail addresses which are similar to other people's, on one occasion with a more common spelling. The idea of doing this with a whole domain hadn't really crossed my mind.

This is an absolutely breathtaking video. A series of photographs, interviews and audio recordings from 9/11, all in 5 minutes.
The ability of photography to capture so much more than a simple image has never been demonstrated better. From the second plane, minutes away from striking the tower, the person jumping from the top of the building and the woman covered in dust, photography is able to capture so much more then a simple picture.

This photoset on Flickr captures the events 10 years ago stunningly, by Hiro, a New Yorker who was out with his camera during the attacks.
To add to this, he has retraced his steps, taken another set of photos in the same places, 10 years on. The differences, similarities and legacies are extraordinary.

Looking at this examiners' report, it appears that although many candidates cannot spell 'potassium', at least one chief examiner cannot spell 'many'.
