Children in Gaza can tell an F-16 from an F-35 from a drone. They know a whole litany of things that are beyond their years. Things that they shouldn’t have to know. Over 10,000 children have been killed in Gaza. The children who have survived have seen their families, friends and neighbors killed by the Israeli army. They have seen near-death by starvation and death by suffocation, under the rubble and by explosion. Children in Gaza do not have the luxury of death being a mystery. It is a daily presence. If a child in Gaza is hungry, they know not to throw a tantrum. They have become used to feeling hunger. The same is true of the cold. Every child in Gaza now knows what it is to be unhoused, to sleep in a tent or on the streets in winter.

that video of the little kid in Gaza with his cat in his lap, begging it not to eat him and his siblings when they die. videos of Palestinians giving part of whatever food they have to their animals and using precious resources to bandage their injuries. footage of Palestinians eating pet food. Footage of Palestinians being forced to eat their's and other's pets because the occupation is starving them. the occupation murdering cats and other pets they find in front of Palestinians. the clip of those children who were ecstatic because they were able to find their pets in the rubble, or take their pets with them as they flee. bisan crying because she misses her cats and has no idea if they lived. the two brothers who chose to stay in Gaza and risk their lives to continue running their cat sanctuary. Palestinian men pulling people from the rubble clutching their cats. I don't make this post to say I care for the pets more than the people, but just...as a person who loves my pet cat so much I don't understand how people can see these images, even perpetrate this horror, and do nothing. I pat my cat and I think of Palestine and Palestinians missing their pets, clutching their pets, and being forced to eat their pets. I can't imagine the pain of it. Call your reps, support BDS, go to protests, keep bearing witness. Free Palestine and end the occupation.

Conversation Prompt
“He’s not just my friend, he’s my brother. I can’t give up on him.”
“I understand, I have a brother too.”
“I mean, he’s not really my brother, but we’ve been through so much that he’s as good as.”
“I’ve got one of those too. I miss him, I’d do anything to… Go. Go save your brother. I know what I’d do to save mine, I don’t want anyone getting hurt because they get in your way.”

I just saw a girl on tiktok talking about how her Palestinian grandma won’t be able to renew her passport with her place of birth as Palestine. She will have no place of birth.
Tell me why people were trying to compare it to Czechoslovakia and Yugoslavia etc.
My whole ass family was born in Czechoslovakia. Guess what. They now have a passport in Czechia/Slovakia, depending on where they lived. They have a country to call their own. They have some of the strongest passports in the world.
Palestinians are intentionally being eradicated. Their land bombed and stolen. Please educate yourselves before you say bullshit on the internet.

I want to write a Sugar Baby AU where the person providing the money is sort of the epitome of class and grace but is also down bad for their sugar baby to the point where people are either really annoyed or really curious, because who is this beautiful, wonderful, classy human being who has this rich, powerful figurehead of high society wrapped around their finger? And also how soon can they be introduced because Lord knows the rich person won't shut the fuck up about the love of their life.
And then, through some situation mayhaps one of those rich people charity galas, the sugar baby is introduced.
And they're just.
An absolute Dirtbag.
With a capital D.
Not necessarily a bad person, though perhaps a bit morally grey to an average citizen's standards, but definitely the type of motherfucker to stroll into a fancy party wearing a leather jacket, a stained t-shirt, and a slutty pair of sweatpants just to say hello to their sugar daddy by giving them an absolutely filthy kiss, then steal a bunch of shrimp, a martini glass full of olives, and a bottle of champagne just for funsies.
And everybody there is like: "This is your beautiful, perfect, innocent, sugar baby who you think can do no wrong and who you're in love with?"
And the sugar daddy, still red in the face from the kiss, is like: "Uh-huh, yeah, yup, that's them."
And the sugar baby just throws up a peace sign and says, "Cheers, motherfuckers," through a mouthful of shrimp and olives as they leave, opening the champagne as they go and chugging like a third of it at once, kind of Eleanor Shellstrop style. They also let out a monster belch as they reach the door, because of the bubbles obviously, and the sugar daddy could not be more enamoured.

"It's not your fault I got all these ideas in my head."
"Of course it's not. I'm merely the muse to your madness."
"Madness is right. Next, you'll be charging rent for brain space."
"Not a bad idea. Consider it your intellectual lease agreement."

Hero had the two criminals cornered in the alleyway. Surrounded on three sides by large towering brick walls, there was nowhere to run.
"I got you now, nowhere to escape." Hero gloated with a grin and watched as they cowered further. Usually, criminals and the like weren't intimidated by Hero, and they had to work hard to even be taken seriously.
"Now, if you surrender willingly, no harm will come to you." Hero's grin widened as they spoke in an overly confident tone. Even earlier in this fight, these two criminals had no problem trying to fight Hero, even managing to get some good hits in. Now, here they were, seemingly scared frozen.
Hero found it to be very validating until they noticed that their eyes were looking slightly past Hero. Frown instantly forming and face falling, Hero spoke again.
"There's something terrifying behind me, isn't there?"
The two nodded slowly, still not moving. Hero's frown deepened. They felt a sudden rise of anxiety twisting in their gut.
"How terrifying?" Hero couldn't bring themselves to look, but as soon as they asked, they felt strong hands fall atop their shoulders, pulling them close.
Villain's familiar voice sounded mischievously in their ear, breath fanning across Hero's neck.
"Extremely terrifying."

“My parents have such a low opinion of me.”
“You have been very credibly accused of murder multiple times.”
“And found innocent each and every time! They have absolutely no faith in me.”

In a society where history is meticulously recorded and preserved, your protagonist discovers a compendium of forgotten chronicles. These chronicles tell the untold stories of rebels, outcasts, and forgotten heroes who shaped the world in ways never recorded.
