Difficulties of studying Russian

The Cyrillic Alphabet.

This alphabet was adapted from the Greek one, so some letters have the similar writing methods, but actually are pronounced differently.

Presence of a tonic accent

Tons can move and change depending on the form of the word.

Declensions

There are six declensions of nouns, adjectives and pronouns.

Genders

There are three genders : masculine, feminine and neuter. Each of them have their own endings.

Why don’t I use Russian textbooks and prepare everything myself ?

It’s not because I don’t trust these textbooks, on the contrary, I often drink for inspiration from them , and underline some important material. But to my mind Russian textbooks, as textbooks of foreign language, are not enough developed. We shouldn’t blame methodists for it. Russian wasn’t a popular and binding language, it was always strange and various for foreigners.

But everything changes...

With growing popularity, a lot people started to show interest to the subject. It became necessary to find easy and comprehensible way to study such a different language. There are a lot of textbooks focused only on one or two aspects of studying, but there is no one which can combine grammar, listening, speaking, reading and writing. A lot of good textbooks are very gloomy and colorless, others are very difficult to understand, they don’t motivate people to learn but to give up.

For me, the only one possible way to make it easier to select the material from the different sources, process the information and systematize it.
