If someone would have told me a year ago I'd be a mother I probably would have laughed in their face. Honestly, I was so afraid when I found out I was pregnant. Afraid of not being good enough for my child, afraid of being how my mother and grandmother were, afraid of giving up my dreams, afraid of what people and my family would think of me. When we found out we were having a girl I was so incredibly happy, I wanted a girl. I wanted a little mini me someone who I could dress uo, teach makeup to, do their hair, be best friends with. I remember feeling her first kick, I remember being so incredibly happy. I miss those little kicks or her being at the tippy top of my uterus in my ribs all day long. Being pregnant was amazing, some days I miss it. However nothing amounts to being a parent, nothing amounts to the feeling of happiness she gives me. I remember the first time I saw her, I fell even more in love with her than I had been when she would kick me all night. Her cone head and curly red hair had me head over heels. Nothing is better than being a parent, it's constant joy. Yeah, some nights it's hard... really really hard but I wouldn't change it for anything. My daughter is the most amazing thing in the entire world. She grows and changes so much every single day it's awesome. I love my little ginger so much it's insane. 😌

I sang my grandmother the song you are my sunshine when I was in kindergarten and since then the song has reminded me of her. She raised me while my mother worked all the time. Then I grew up she got cancer and passed in my bed room a few months ago, she was like my mother and everyday I think of her. I miss you grandma so much. Hope you're having fun up there in heaven.
