What are some good suggestions for house rules for companions?
Hello anon! That’s a great question. House rules should cover every scenario you can think of, and anything that makes you uncomfortable. Here are some good house rules to start with, and then you can work from there:1. Do not bring spirits or entities that are not within our family into my home. (AKA, unbounds)2. Do not manifest when I have company over that are not spirit-workers.3. Do not manifest in ways that will break my belongings, or otherwise cause me accidental harm (Breaking glass, etc)4. Do not move or take X item (X being item(s) that are precious to you, or are important, such as tax papers, an heirloom, etc.)I recommend that house rules are written somewhere, so that they are easily accessible, and easy to point out. It can be in a book, or as a slip of paper at the bottom of your sock drawer. Other rules should include any that have to do with any illnesses you have, anxieties, or special circumstances. For example:
1. Do not manifest in ways that I can mistaken as a serious physical illness, such as shortness of breath2. Do not manifest with a physical form (If you have a mental illness that causes you to hallucinate and you are unable to tell reality from a hallucination)
Some entities/spirits may also have their own house rules that you will need to follow as well. Be sure to write these down.

Things that have helped me feel closer to my deities:
Praying before their altars (bonus points if you write your own)
Read books other than their myths (books you think they’d enjoy themselves)
Meditating with them
Learn about magickal subjects related to them
Dedicate a journal for notes and document experiences you have with that deity (including moments where they’ve assisted you and any divination conversations you’ve had with them)
Listen to their messages and follow through with them
Light incense that reminds you of them
Find artwork that feels like that deity and hang, print or save them
Divination Methods (Runes, Tarot, Pendulums, Bone Throwing, etc.)
Watch content on different subjects they’re related to (documentaries on death, relationships, crime, etc.)
Dedicate, care, and/or name pets, plants, plushies, etc to them
Learn not just their pantheon and myths but the culture that influenced them
Wear jewelry dedicated to them (bonus if you have that deity enchant them with protection)
Share meals with them
Thinking of them in passing (like “hey that thing reminds me of *insert deity*”)
Talk casually at their altars and give them an itinerary of your day
Define your relationship with that deity and refer to them accordingly (if its a more formal/in reverence, use a formal title. if it’s warm/personal, use an affectionate name.)

pop culture paganism weekly challenge: day 6 (+ update on T as well)
I’m back with this challenge!
today’s prompt is to have a conversation with slushii, and write down my findings! I used my automatic typing method for this conversation, since I prefer typing on my ipad rather than writing with a pencil. (It’s an autism thing…) I haven’t really been checking on him as often since I’ve been chatting with T, who’s my new spirit companion, for a few days. But I decided to check in on him today after talking with T, and he’s doing great! We even got to have a family meeting so he could meet T and get to say hi to her for the first time.
also, I found that they could see each other, which is understandable because they’re both spirits, but I found it really interesting! T was honored to meet him, she seemed so excited to meet someone who played a big role in my life.
T is honestly such a sweetheart, and I’m so happy to have her!
so yeah, that’s today’s entry! It’s not too long because it wasn’t too long of a conversation, but I wanted to at least give an update on my progress in this challenge.
funny sidenote: it seems like they’ve already gotten along pretty well because I was listening to music and they started belting Daisy 2.0 with slushii as ashnikko and T as miku 😭 it was freaking hilarious and so cute lol

Update on my silver dragon spirit companion!
so today I checked creepy hollows to see if my spirit companion’s vessel had been shipped yet, and lo and behold, I finally have an update on that!
I’m not gonna share her name because I don’t know what the general consensus with that whole situation is, but I don’t want to attract any unwanted attention from people who want to summon her so… yeah.
her nickname is T! I really like how the shop described her, she seems like a very sweet individual! I started talking to her and she’s very nice, I’m very excited to have her as a companion.
anyway, I’m gonna reblog more stuff that makes me think of her here!
oh and btw I will also finish the pop culture paganism challenge soon too, so stay tuned!

today’s prompt was to make an offering to slushii, so I made a moodboard for him! I wanted to make something nice for him while also doing something different from my usual stuff. I will probably update y’all on his reaction on tomorrow’s entry!

I was just wondering what is "bilocation" is ? I can't even find good resources for definitions and how to do it .. like what ? :(
do you mind explaining and possibly giving steps how to do bilocation ? cause I've been wanting to see spirits for a long time </3 /nf ! 🎀

aaa tysm!! Bilocation is basically astral travel while still being in your body. For me it was like daydreaming but not really being able to control anything outside myself (so basically things happening outside, like slushii’s reactions, I couldn’t control) and it was also a bit “foggier” than a normal daydream for me.
I will try to reblog some stuff on my blog as to how you can do it. The best advice is to go to your personal realm first, (aka the mindscape) because it’s basically your “safe space” when it comes to inviting spirits. (I put it in quotes because I have different views on protection and spirits, I personally don’t believe in tricksters and I believe that what I believe reflects in reality, so tricksters aren’t really a problem for me because of my views) but if you wanna use protection then go right ahead because it can help if you’re doing it for the first time and want to be prepared.
I think the best sources I’ve found are here on tumblr from other people who’ve tried it, so search around!

pop culture paganism weekly challenge: day 4 of 7
I’m back with another entry for this challenge! This time I am once again diverging from the original prompt, which was to write a prayer for slushii. I’m not the best at basing prayer off of things, I’m more of the kinda person to tell him about my day, and that would get kinda personal for this blog. So instead, I’m gonna share my first ever astral travel experience that I had yesterday via bilocation!
I prepared by taking a nice bath, since that kinda relaxes me enough for this kinda stuff. I relaxed into the water and imagined it would take me to my personal realm. The next thing I knew, I was there! At least, I was there in my mind. I was still in my body, lol.
My astral realm is actually a mall, which I didn’t expect, but I guess it’s that way because I love malls. So I summoned slushii, and gave him a big hug, because this was my first time actually meeting him in the astral as his authentic spirit self! He was so nice actually, he just wanted to make sure my first astral experience was a good one.
my astral body is actually super crazy too. I have these black, feathery wings and a black fluffy tail with a sort of orange light as the tip? It was like a sort of bulb. I also had a retractable set of extra arms! That was so crazy to me.
so anyway, we went to this taco bell in the mall (irl I love taco bell, so I guess it carried over into the astral) and we had some burritos. And then slushii completely surprised me with a ring! It was a diamond ring (or maybe opalite or pearl, I don’t remember fully but it was white and shiny) and he said that he wanted everyone to know how much he loved me, so he gave me the ring as a reminder to everyone else that I’m his.
I’m still reeling from the amazingness of all this! I had to go after that because I was putting on my clothes at that point and I wanted to be fully aware of my body just in case I needed to talk to anyone once I got out. Slushii was super understanding of that though, so I’m glad.
I love him so much though! I plan on going back to my astral realm again at some point and going exploring with him. Hopefully this will happen more often!

pop culture paganism weekly challenge: day 3 of 7
NOTE: I skipped day 2 because I was busy, but I did end up making a sigil for communicating with my spirit family, which includes my pop culture spirits, so I will share that before I continue!
Today’s challenge was to look at a list of tropes related to the character I’m working with, but slushii isn’t necessarily a “character” so he doesn’t really have tropes. So today I decided to make a list of things that remind me of him, with descriptions of why they remind me of him!
here’s some things that remind me of slushii!
the colors turquoise, green, and pink - these colors remind me of him because he often dyed his hair these colors!
cybercore aesthetic - this aesthetic often reminds me of him because of the blue colors and the fact that he loves old tech.
frutiger aero - this reminds me of him because it has more of his colors and plus, it’s old tech!

What’s the pcp challenge?
I’m glad you asked! I actually reblogged it a few days ago (or maybe it was yesterday, idk how much time has passed) but I will try to link it for you!
here ya go!
So yeah, feel free to join in! I think this would be a great way to start researching pop culture spirits that you’d like to work with too, and I plan on doing this to begin working with other pop culture spirits as a sorta introduction! I think it’s a great start for people who like structured routines like me. I don’t think I’d ever get more than 1 pop culture spirit to work with if I didn’t come across this, but I think I’ll definitely try it on a brand new spirit once I get there! For now I’m just trying it out on slushii for practice. :)

pop culture paganism weekly challenge: Day 1 of 7
I’m starting this on a Tuesday so I thought I’d number the days instead of going by what day of the week it is.
anyway, today’s task was to make a playlist for the spirit/egregore (I’m focusing on slushii since he’s my first pop culture spirit, AND because he’s my spirit spouse, of course) and listen to it with the spirit!
(Note: I don’t think I can share the playlist here because it’s private on Spotify, and I wanna keep it that way for now. But I will share a few songs from the playlist along with their meanings to us and slushii’s reactions to them!)
The first song on my playlist for him is the indicator song I’ve chosen for him, because it already has some meaning in our relationship so I wanted to add it as a way to “top it all off” or something like that.
it’s one of my favorites by him, so I think it’s a good fit for an indicator song! I think he enjoys it too.
Next one on the list is one that he’s mentioned liking in an interview I’ve read, so I decided to add it. Skrillex is one of his inspirations, and so he was happy with this choice.
Last one I’m gonna share here with y’all is a lesser known song by him, from his past alias, DJ swoon. I think he was pretty surprised I knew this one, but he loved the effort I put in either way.
anyway! That’s it for day one! I didn’t get to finish the playlist with him (adhd sucks yet again!), but knowing how he reacted to the whole thing, it probably wouldn’t mess up anything if I ever forgot about that. He loved it though! And I think that’s a great start to this challenge.

I guess I might reveal who J is since I’m more comfortable with sharing stuff now…
plus I really wanna do that pop culture paganism challenge next week, so I figured I’d reveal who he is for the sake of the challenge. Plus I don’t think he’d mind the attention since he’s a decently famous person, so I guess I’ll just reveal his name to y’all!
This is slushii! He’s the celebrity I’m working with. I’m not gonna share his actual name, but I called him J because his actual name starts with that letter.
So yeah, glad to get that out of the way! I think I’ll start the pop culture paganism challenge today actually, since we’re on a roll.
