Thanks to my sister! She saved the day! Picture One ~ Originally I was so excited because my sea moss gel looked like Naptural85’s. However, when I slathered it on my hair and let it air dry… my curls were popping but it was snowing in The Bay. No matter what I did I couldn’t stop the flaking so I gave up. It felt good on my hair but I couldn’t deal with the flakes. Picture 2 ~ Talking to my sister she told she uses sea moss as a pre-poo. She said it more than twice. But once she said she noticed that her hair is fuller since using it I had to give it another try. It hasn’t been all that long since sea moss and I have reunited, but let me tell you how this winter has not dried out my hair yet. I honestly believe my hair grows the most during this season. The Bay Area cold tends to be drying for my hair. So far my hair has responded positively to this sea moss treatment and my low manipulation Haircare. #mood T-shirt from @hausofswag I cowashed my hair and after conditioning with #auntjackiescocorepair I applied the #seamossgel to my wet hair (I also applied my oil concoction, leave-in, and curl cream. More about the later). The gel was not wet like my flaxseed gel, however I got the same curl popping results. I’m patiently waiting for my hair to air dry to see how much the gel flakes or what have you. So far my hair feels soft and hydrated. Time got away from me yesterday. So... that means that today is... wash day!!! I took my hair out in preparation to wash. I massaged my scalp (I always forget to do that and it’s so important to get that circulation going) and as I finished up this episode of The Crown Babygirl stretched my hair. As I’ve told you, I went through almost two years of shedding and my hair in the front along my edges were affected the most. 😢😢 I’m still in recovery. However I’m very happy to see that all is not lost. Trying to exert patience is exhausting, but I guess it does pay off. Recently I had the pleasure of snatching two custom handmade throw blankets from the lovely @jaylas.handmade.corner. I met her and her mom on a poetry zoom meeting that a friend invited me to. Jayla is the sweetest little girl. When someone mentioned her candles I went to her page to check her out.
